I have some Gladiolus murielae and I would advice you to plant them in a spot where you pass often. They are not only very pretty but smell awesome! A very pleasant sweet fragrance!

That Sauromatum should spread with enthusiasm. I have decided against planting them in my pretty small garden for that reason. They are really pretty though! That Crocosmia is lovely, it survived winter here (NL) in the ground

Are these true tropicals? If so, why do the tags claim they are suitable for zones 5 up to 9? I live in a tropical zone 12 and I don't know many true tropical climates that are zone 9 and under.

Enjoyed this while having my morning tea…I love all the bulbs you got, bulbs, corms etc are my favorite things to plant. My zone recently got changed to 7A. Love Chipmunks, I have one also…he was watching all those plump bulbs go in thinking “Party tonight! 🐿️ I’ll be watching to see how the Voodoo bulbs do, they’re on my wishlist. Comments: where did you get the bulbs from? How do you use the hose without smashing the plants by it? And I always tell folks bulbs get planted with the point up. It’s so interesting watching you and Sander plan out and start the gardens and land, surely in 10 years this garden will the site of wonderful botanical tours! Nag Alert: Please wear sunscreen, sun sleeves, and especially a nice hat shading your face and neck, melanoma / skin cancer is not pleasant (had it on back of my neck) Many hugs to you both 🤗🌿 sorry this got long, hope you also plant some branching Sunflower seeds for you and the birds! 🌻

Love all the bulb planting. Question, why do these tropical bulbs need to be planted under shade? I thought if they're native to warmer climates, wouldn't that mean they'll prefer the full sun of zone 5? I just noticed the voodoo lily was a zone 10. As someone who grows there, our temps go up to triple digits and our plants need to survive hours of intense sun for 75% of the year.

Think jungle…understory plants…they prefer shade not sun.

@@thedivide3688 I see, thanks! It was totally throwing me off. I usually associate zone 10 plants as loving a desert climate.
