If there is one thing that is the most hardworking in any planted aquarium it will the shrimps. Amano shrimps are the best algae eater for planted tanks.
Aquarium shrimps are one of the best things for an aquarium.

In this video, we will exclusively talk about Amano shrimp or Japanese shrimp from the neocaridina species.
Amano shrimps are wonderful algae eaters. Amano shrimps are found in Japan and Taiwan.
Amano shrimps be can be seen in the coastal regions eating the algae.
Amano shrimps were named after Takashi Amano the founder of Aqua Design Amano. Amano introduced the Yamato shrimp to the Aquascaping hobby and said this is the most hardworking and useful shrimps for your planted aquarium.
Amano shrimps ph needs to be in 6.5 which can be buffered by a really good substrate system.
How to identify duplicate Amano shrimps.?
ghost shrimp looks similar to Amano shrimps, follow the tips to find duplicate Amano shrimp. Amano shrimps will have black dots on the body and tail, brown or black line on the cross-section of the body. Ghost shrimps are slightly longer than Amano shrimps and their claws are bigger than Amano shrimps.
Amano shrimps food - Amano shrimps can eat anything literally, eats algae, excess fish food, newly growing plants, dead leaves, and even dead fish, etc
Amano shrimps or any other shrimps are algae eaters first if your tank is well balanced with very fewer algae, please do make sure you feed your shrimps with algae wafers at least twice in a week.
unlike cherry red shrimp, Amano shrimps are very hard to breed, these shrimps can only breed in saltwater. In nature Amano shrimps lay their eggs near the coastal area, eggs are washed away to the seawater where they breed and the baby shrimps comes back to the freshwater. Amano shrimps breeding is very hard.
If shrimps overpopulate in your tank they may become a pest in your tank. if your tank very few fish and lots of plants, you will add less fish food and these shrimps will start to eat the newly growing plants. Freshwater fish too eat the baby shrimps to keep their population in control but not to an extent. But shrimps can hide out in the dark places. Amano shrimps grow bigger by a process called molting. Amano shrimp molting processes, wherein they shed or molt their top skin layer and even eat them to get the energy back.
Shrimps are the first thing in your aquarium to die if your conditions are not right as they are very sensitive. if you exclusively want a shrimp only tank keep lot of moss, avoid hard water as it affects the shrimp breeding.
Amano shrimps temperature for healthy living is - 22- 28 degrees.

one suggestion - you should add timestamps in your videos like cory from aquarium coop does. So that it gets easier to view when revisiting the video after days or months only to view that particular part again to understand better

Please make a video on how to introduce shrimp, care etc. I have kept horn nerite snails for algae issue but noticed after introducing in tank after 1-2 days they are not moving. I have three different types of cory doras (lepard, juli and panda) and then got to know from Google that cory doras can kill or eat horn nerite snails. Mine was small. Two times I have introduced and found same. Now one of my friend suggested me to keep ammano shrimp. So i want to know if introduction of amano shrimp in tank where cory dora, hill stream loach and guppys are there ? Safe? I am also planning to introduce celestial pearl danio.

Mayur Sir, I have heard that amano shrimps jump out of aquarium sometimes when they are stressed out (due to water parameters not being right or due to other fishes which they are not comfortable with). Is that true? If so, how can we ensure they do not do so? I am planning to keep amano shrimps with neon tetras and I have iwagumi layout.

You need to know this ... Betta are hunters and they will hunt down the shrimp and eat them, if your tank is very dense with plants then some shrimp will hide and survive also.
