For the boots, you can walk on the lava in the Aetherium forge get to a chest hidden behind a gate to the right and left, then across and to the left if you combo it with the Become Ethereal shout.
What's in the chest??
Also if your enchanting is high enough you can just use 100% fire resistance gear to do the same
I don't know if it is just the special edition. But if you fall into water with the boots you don't take fall damage. At least my character didn't.

Well, battlemage with flaming familiars, runes, wards, and thanks for augment enchanting - pair of fire/frost enchantent weapons. Good for tactical gameplay, and very versattile.

I use the gauntlets with spellbreaker and it is very useful considering I did not invest into majicka regeneration and resistance

yes the boots will be great if you have frostfall. if you have frostfall and swim near solitude or dawnstar you will die. the boots are really useful for some parts.
Having four pieces of Ahzidals Armor (including the boots) is incredibly useful, because there is no enchantment to improve enchanting (unlike what the video said). Ahzidals Armor is unique, the only item that improves enchanting (that I know of). I keep the whole suit in my house in Solitude where I do my enchanting and always put it on before enchanting my gear (brings me to lvl 110 enchanting).

I can make potions that boost enchant 90%, that 10% is nothing
@@djurasterBut that extra 10% from Ahzidal's armor will be in addition to whatever powerful enchanting potions you create --- it's an admittedly small (one tenth) boost but it will make enchantments slightly more powerful than without it --- probably only important to completists who want to ring every last drop of water from a stone.

None of those items seems to really work with each other. They all seem like random effects that were kinda dice rolled into armor.
On top of that, they're Heavy Armor so mages lose out on a lot of effectiveness and Warriors don't need the magic boosts 99% of the time. It's a cool concept but kinda meh execution (which....is kinda typical of post-Morrowind Bethesda).
Its meant to be for a heavily-armored battlemage, and the loss of mobility can be countered with the Steed Stone or just the Conditioning perk in the Heavy Armor skill tree.
But yeah, the novelty of the Waterwalking enchantment kind of wears off after a few minutes as soon as you realize that you'd honestly be getting more use out of a Muffle enchantment, and Ahzidal's Helm of Vision's enchantment is bad from the get-go, but the gauntlets are fucking beast on their own.
Just get the Atronach Stone, pop on the Ahzidal's Gauntlets of Warding and you've got 100% Spell Absorption.
And the breastplate is just okay. Its just... kind of there. If you're a battlemage, you should be in close range to get hit, but its the thought that counts, I suppose.

The story behind the armour piece is that it was made by NORD mage. So it makes sense for it to be HEAVY armour with magic based enchantments. But I agree; it's not very useful in most situations. It looks cool on a mannequin though.
The gloves go great with spellbreaker in one hand and a spell in the other.

On a similar note, the helm can work well with the dawnguard rune hammer.
The boot are useful in that thieves guild mission where you infiltrate the bee hive place. The ability to jump on water allows you cheese your way onto the island in areas that significantly increase the speed at which you can complete the quest
Waterwalking should be useful in Apocrypha .

Water walking is really good for stealth characters as you can sneak across the water instead of being auto detected like you would normally be. I used them to sneak up on the dragon on the island on the north of solstheim

The only method of boosting enchanting after reaching level 100 enchanting are fortify encanhting potions, enchanting perks, Seeker of Sorcery from the Black Books and Azhidal's Insight. This fact would make it one of the most valuable item sets in the game for those not using the Fortify Restoration glitch.
No one needs enchanting past level 100 unless they plan on breaking the game.
That is true. I was thinking the same , there are no gear that boost enchanting . If you are trying to cap your alchemy , smithing and enchanting capablities those gear are essential to take your fortify from 39% to 42% .

@@Claytonbeastboy false. You can easily beat endgame bosses before level 30 on legendary difficulty just by farming armour and magic resist stats and maxing restoration and giving Lydia Daedric or Ebony Armour
@@CountNikiko how is increasing your enchanting in any way less valid than farming resistance and increasing Restoration? You know, while it may be one way to do it, so is increasing your enchanting. There is more than one valid solution.
Gauntlets + atronach stone = full absorption when casting wards which means that you can keep them up for a long time and as wards increase armor rating you will have a higher armor as well. Couple this with the fact that you will be immune to disease and poison and enchantments as they also will be absorbed. And as the cherry on top dragons won't be able to do jack shit... (forgot to mention spellbreaker)
Water walk boots can be quite useful when you don't use fast travel. You can use rivers as streets and in Solstheim it's oftentimes easier to just run over the water near the coast.
Also, for those who play in Survival mode, the freezing waters up North can kill you in seconds if you fall or dive in without thinking --- having the Water Walk ability will allow you to run into lakes or oceans to get to certain islands or to avoid enemies who cannot follow you into the freezing liquid. It will also help speed up travel running over water instead of traversing the body of water via swimming or a paddling Horse which are both much slower.
you could use the boots in the dragon priest fight at the end of the raven rock mine, but that's about it.

One thing you forgot to mention is the fortify enchantment effect for wearing four pieces of ahzidal's items is that it can be activated if you use one of his two rings or his dragon priest mask as one of the four items
There’s also a ring in the chamber , when you reanimate a dead they explode when die and causes +50 frost damage

The boots are really useful when using the Frostfall mod. Because getting wet most of the time is a bad idea when using that mod. With the boots though it is less of an issue. Especially if you are trying to cross a body of water to get nirnroot or something else. It is also useful for sniping melee enemies from a place where they can not follow you. Though I also just use a mod that adds a ring of waterwalking that is much lighter than the boots that can also be disenchanted.
This armor is paired very well with the necromancer amulet and namiras ring, and either the lady stone or atronach stone.
I made my armour set with the boots from this set because I liked the ability to waterwalk, Nordic carved armour with a fortify health and stamina enchant, stormcloak officer gauntlets because they have wolverine claw spikes with a fortify carry weight and Fortify unarmed enchant, and the Jagged Crown with waterbreathing and magicka enchant, ring of namira to eat corpses with and I used an exploit to wear 5 amulets of talos for immediate shout cooldown

Now you can cause absolute mayhem in any of the major cities and have any non essential npc killed off with no blood on your hands or bounties leveled against you.
Heimskr, Nazeem, Thorald Silverblood, the Orc Loanshark that harasses you in Raven Rock, your Dark Brotherhood contracts, and many others won't know what hit them. Neither will the guards.
I love the boots. Agro something on the coast, back away on to the water, hit them with a bow while they can't get close.
The helm is good for the rune hammer because you can place runes without magica cost and at a greater range and with some perks you can place them very far away

This is technically one of the most expensive armor sets in the game

The gauntlets are really good with spellbreaker and the ward absorb perk. This is perfect for a weird battle mage that uses a shield and spell instead of a sword and spell
Water walking boots can be used to attack enemies while in the water, I think it is the only way to attack while in the water (deeper water anyway) and if you are against melee enemies then you can attack without being attacked

The cuirass affects ranged opponents too, such as archers, Riekling spears and even mages
As for the helmet, it’s probably a similar situation as with the gauntlets: 25% greater cost for 25-50% greater range. And the “Ward Absorb” perk makes the gauntlets’ enchantment even more effective
I actually found the boots super useful. The water walking ability will come in handy more often than you might think. For example it will save you a lot of time in that Dwemer dungeon with the fancy helm in it. It is also the only item in the game with a fortify enchanting ability.
I remember on the 360 my armor for my archer playtrough was the water walking boots,mask of clavicus vile,ebony armor and ebony gauntlets of major archery
one of the other pieces to carry with you is the ring of arcana, which lets you use 2 very powerful apprentice level destruction spells, tbh I prefer ignite and freeze over ice spike and firebolt.. ignite has a very large dps, I hav used it on a giant at lvl40 and it just wrecked the giant with only 4 casts (with archmage robes and nahkriin equipped, ignite and freeze only cost a mere 12 magicka)

actually azhildals boots protect against fall damage so long as you fall on any time of water yes even a puddle

A good armor set to add to a Hearthfire collection in the Armory. Otherwise, to have that cool looking armor with better effects, just do the Companions questline and I believe once you join the Circle you can either make or buy this armor at Euorlands forge and improve and enchant it yourself. It is my favorite (aesthetically pleasing) armor set for low to mid teir level heavy armor characters. The same armor that Aela uses.

I was actually thinking that if you were making a Paladin character or some sort of DPS melee character the chest piece and gloves would be useful. Those boots are useful just for being themselves and exploring around a bit.
Can you disenchant these at all and get their effects? Cause that water walking is super cool looking.
My Necromage Vampire is an Alchemist hat prefer's a Battlemage/Tank type style. Ahzidal's Armor Set proved very useful, especially against more powerful enemies like the Ebony Warrior and Kaarstag. So it is very situational and difficult to master, but can be VERY powerful.
The gauntlets work great with Spellbreaker shield!!!
I've returned to playing Skyrim after several years. First played it on PC, now PS4 and have been amazed at all the glitches/bugs still in the game. Perfect use for the Waterwalking boots is when trying to find Neloth's Steward, Varona. Her body can sometimes spawn (as did with me) waaaaaaaaaaay down in the left corner of the Solsteim map...out to sea. I guess you could swim there, but it was much more fun running across the waves. NB: You also need the "no-borders" mod that allows you to waterwalk from Solsteim to the mainland. Bug averted and quest finished :D

Has anyone tried Spellbreaker with The gauntlets? It sounds like it might work well for a spellsword and board build.
I remember getting all the armor parts without using a walkthrough but it’s more of a vague I don’t really have a clue how I did it but I was sick with the flu during that so maybe that’s part of it...
You could probably use them to walk over to behind golden gleem if you want to go into the sewer and metal gear it up.

All of these armor enchants are amazing in their own way. All the specific percentages can also be found online. Overall I enjoy your videos, but I think you need to tone down the bias, or at least state that its your own opinion when your not sure of the specifics.

For the gauntlets the hall where the switch is with downstairs ain't there for me. Does the availability of grabbing armour sets sometimes change? As I have the boots first time, then I got his ring.
I'm doing my once a year Skyrim play-through and using this armor. Low mana pool staff specialist mage build. Absorbent wards are nice vs dragons when you don't use the atronach stone because you like summoning atronachs (kinda weird how that sounded, but you all know what I mean). Long distance with the helm works well for ash runes and summoning my storm atronach to start a fight. I cast only rune and ward spells from my hands, everything else uses a staff. Carry some daggers for soul trapping, fearing, paralyzing, or turning undead .My normal carry around staves are Storm Atronach, Wall of Lightning, and Staff of Magnus to keep my tiny mana pool refilled and heal my ass , Primary skills are enchanting, alchemy, heavy armor and lockpicking. This guy can take a hit with this armor, large health pool, and extra CC with the proc'd paralyze. Spend perk points on magic trees that give the cool perks (enhancing elemental damage, necromage, etc), but not on those that reduce casting costs (minus novice of course). Go to apprentice alteration to open the magic resistance perks, but for the most part, don't use alteration. Ring and necklace that have reduction of restoration and destruction costs (reduces around 58% between the two). Not looping or exploiting, just good old fashioned play.
Mayhaps Ahzidal's boots could be used for quick escape from a coastal battle.
Can you stack the gauntlets with the Atronach Stone because that would seem pretty useful to me

Think I might just use the boots and armor. I might as well as I am playing a build that uses ancient nordic armor. I'll probably give some gauntlets my own enchantment and then get another enchanted variant of the helmet. Nonetheless this armor set will be quite useful for enchanting

One thing for the warding helmet: atronach standing stone.
This was bugged as hell for me the areas I had to walk through were “blocked” by wall and debris but it turns I could go through it. Super annoying

Do the ward effects of the gauntlets apply to Spellbreaker?
Brain blast! Spell breaker, Ahzidals Gauntlets, with the Ward and Atronoch perks. That would be 100% spell absorption with the shield raised without the atronoch stone or using any real wards at all.
There aren't any other fortify enchantment enchantments, the only other way to boost enchanting is with potions, though the potions are going to give a bigger boost when you have high alchemy.
Timothy Jones, if you Fortify Alchemy on the armor using this armor you can get an even bigger boost. sorry if I sound like a know it all just trying to help
You could use the gloves & combined with the atronach stone & you’ll be near invulnerable to anything but physical in other words blades, arrows, & fall damage will be the only thing that can harm but all poison, shock, fire, frost, shouts, harmful enchantments, powers, diseases, & of course spells will never hurt you even vampiric drain & enchantment absorption will never on your character because the gloves gives 50% spells absorption & the atronach stone also gives 50% spells absorption put them together you’ll get 100% spells absorption.
Wouldn't the rune buff work with th dawngaurd rune hammer? That extra distance if you don't have the rune master perk?

You could use the boots, stand in deep water of a lake or river, and cast or archery the crap out of enemies. After all, enemies can’t attack you while swimming. Quite literally like shooting fish in a barrel. Might be useful for an to run through of an argonian, use the boots to pepper foes while standing on the water and then change them out and drop down into the depths to make a quick get away.
You can use this armor set to power level enchanting till you can get a better percentage
Does anyone know if the magika absorption of the gauntlets will work without the use of a warding spell? I ask because I want to 100% magika absorption with only the Atronach stone and the gauntlets if possible.
Is there any unique armor/armor set that complimement any of the dragon priest masks? I hoped this set could go well with Azidal's mask, but it doeas not...

Think of the sand blocking the room with the chain you need to pull to get the gauntlets as an illusion if that's what you're experiencing.

Ive got the helmet, boots, chest piece, ring and for some reason I can't find the gauntlets. Like they weren't even their
Wrong. You said you can enchant your own gear with "Fortify Enchanting" enchantment but there is no such enchantment (gear specific) in the game. You can only find such effects on potions (custom ones/the ones you find around in the game). Ahzidal's armor is the only gear that has that specific enchantment and it can't be disenchanted. This makes it a MUST when enchanting (Ahzidal's armor + potions for the best possible version of "x" enchantment). If any of this makes any sense :P
PLUS "Seeker of Sorcery" from one of the Black Books, which grants a +10% to Enchanting. ;)
Dennis Hoving Seeker of Sorcery increases the magnitude of all enchantments by 10% but doesn't actually affect the enchanments.
For example, if you have seeker of sorcery, enchant things, see the stat, open the book and swap it to say the combst buff, then go check the stat it will have actually gone down. Conversely, as soon as you take seeker of sorcery you will notice enchanments look stronger on all items. Its not applied to your enchanting skill which affects magnitude when enchanting just the magnitudes.
David North That was in fact what I actually meant, but just worded incorrectly. Regardless, having both does help a good deal with enchanting in my opinion.

@@brokenhalosc0810 I think you mean Alchemy and Smithing. Unless your game is modded to allow it, there is no Fortify Enchanting effect you can place on custom gear. This set is the only apparel in the game by default that buffs Enchanting.

I use Ahzidal's boots of waterwalking and no other parts of it because my mage needs good armor and I can't find any good boots if you can recommend some I'd be happy
