All you need is glimpses or sillouetes of something massive that you never really get to see completely upclose...that is terrifying..that should be in the dead zone.
That actually can't be possible due to the fact that in some of the lore of the real game that nearly all of the planets population (143 billion) has died from the Kharaa Bacterium which means only the ghost leviathans can be living in the dead zone but we don't know for sure because the game probably takes place only years after the main character has gone back to the planet
It would be perfectly possible, below zero takes place at least a couple years after subnautica, and is a completely separate oasis of blooming life forms in an arctic region. The dead zone is only populated with leviathan class form predators, so a game or DLC centered on the void would be very leviathan heavy, and if it were to include as significant of life form diversity in a dead zone area as Sector Zero or the Crash Crater it would likely have to be another time skip after Below Zero but definitely possible.

@@tyfhg1 concept: entire planet itself is a lifeform and we don't realise until the end of the game and find out we and the other creatures we find, including leviathans, are just tiny parasites on it
If that shit existed irl I would be scared to even go near the kiddie pool tbh

The timing of that couldn't be anymore perfect
Dude I swear I can’t imagine my friend being scared of the crashfish (which are the fish that explode when you get near their nests which give u cave sulfur) when this mod exists
Don't look down on your friend tho, those little kamikaze fish used to scare me too.
Yeah I’m not
actually, how do you dodge those pests? or at least destroy them before you take damage or do you just have to always take it
@@vinsueringamer2388 you just have to run away from them. There isn’t any real way to get rid of their nests so you just have to run away

@@unavela Well, whatever was around when the Lost River fossil was still alive and kicking. Swimming? And a Sea Dragon could probably get its jaws around the throat of a juvinile.
@@eeveeextreme from what I remember the one in the lost river died bc he couldn't get out and pretty much got stuck in the lost river

@@unavela Only seeing this now, but... the PDA entry actually states that the creature would simply have been too big to enter that cave system, so it must have formed around the body/skeleton naturally, over time. And to think that's only the front third of a fully matured specimen. It's hard to tell if the model used in this mod in the void is completely accurate to scale but that doesn't make it any less impressive.
Leviathan is scary, but this emptiness scares me a lot more...

*Imagine what facing the Gargantuan Leviathan in VR would be like*
igp wouldn't dare lmao
I think I would have heart attack. Seriously, the scope of a creature this size would make me get the phobia of deep oceans, and I would honestly scream so loud.
Ferb, I know what I’m gonna do today
IGP: calls the juvey garg beautiful
Juvey Garg: *happy barrel rolls*
I think it might be scarier if the adult gargantuan leviathan didn't roar, and just made barely audible groaning noises. Imagine, you're in the void, it's silent, and then you notice this slight groan. At first you think it's your seamoth, but then you turn around and see a massive leviathan coming at you full force. I think it'd really increase the surprise factor.
As impressive as the model and texturing is, I've gotta say I'm most impressed by these sounds, lord have mercy
Edit 1: Oh man that low rumble at 9:20 is terrifying but at the same time giving me an eargasm
They have somehow managed to keep the same feel as regular subnautica leviathans, its amazing
I think the sounds were done by one of the actual subnautica devs which is probably why they’re so good

How would people that fear the deep waters react to this beast’s rawr. Can’t imagine if they saw it young or adult.
It shakes me to my core thats how scary it is for me
I have thalassophobia, and I have tried to play basic unmodded subnautica. I can't do it. Simply can't. It freaks me out too much. Watching youtubers is the only way for me to see the game. I haven't watched this video yet, but the feeling I got when watching his first video of the gargantuan was just a deep fear bordering on panic. I paused the video and scrolled through comments for minutes to calm down before I could continue.
@@Skruffysteve Me too haha
I’d turn the game off and never play it again if I heard it
Its simple, I curl up into a ball
I want a Shadow of the Colossus style grab to hold on to that thing and try to climb to its face.

POV: You’re in a cyclops exploring the void. As you enter the 500m mark you hear a distant roar. You look through the cameras and see a glow. You continue to 1000m and see an eye. You feel the sense of fear and then you see jaws open and then darkness. You panic as you’re cyclops collapses around you. Then the same walls you built crushes you alive…
Most of us genuinely don’t care about the cheats and just want to see you get scared shitless by the funny big monsters
That moment when the whole damn ocean is alive

Kathulu:”I fear no man...but that ‘thing’...it scares me”
*Cthulhu
I don’t think C’thulhu would fear the Gargantuan Leviathan. You know, with it *also* being a massive alien sea creature that inspires a mix of fear and admiration in all who see it.
Cthulhu is way, *way* worse. It's an immortal lovecraftian deity that destroys the minds of anything that comes in contact with it. Not only is it at least as massive, but it has a whole host of ridiculously strong powers and abilities, including telepathy, telekinesis, mind manipulation, regeneration, reality warping, flight, madness inducement, plasma manipulation, psychic and magic attacks, you name it.
@@AndreB23 the doom slayer: sounds like a job for me! But in all seriousness the slayer would most likely win in a one on one situation with Cthulhu. Considering the Titans he have killed (countless Titans and the Icon of Sin and Champion) and the dark lord who is at his weakest multiversal.

Now imagine a nightmare where you open your eye and see you are underwater swimming you look around panicking then all of a sudden you see something of a tail which slowly disappeared then when you get curious and swim towards you squint your eyes and you see something of light getting closer then you hear the yell and suddenly a mouth and you wake up
