  • There are numerous places in the world that are said to be haunted. All of these 'haunted places' have background stories attached to them about their past and how these places turned from a normal place to a horrifying one. In India, there is a place that is among the top 10 most haunted places in the world. In fact, this place is considered to be the most haunted place in Asia. Now, as you can possibly imagine, this place is obviously the most haunted place in India.
This is the Bhangarh Fort, which is located in Rajasthan and is believed to be the most haunted place in India. It is so terrifying that no one stays at this fort after sunset, not even animals. Various stories are said about this fort, about how the Bhangarh Fort and the Bhangarh town were ruined from being thriving places.
Mainly, there are three stories behind the destruction of Bhangarh Fort. The first one includes the princess Ratnavali and the curse of the tantrik, or an occultist; according to the second one, Bhangarh was destroyed due to the curse of a monk or hermit named Balunath; and the third one states that there was a shortage of water in the Bhangarh area, and due to a severe famine, this place was destroyed.
Among all three, the first one, which includes the curse of the tantrik, is believed to be true. Because of the destruction of the Bhangarh Fort, Raja Ajab Singh built another fort within a few kilometers from here, named Ajabgarh.
The Bhangarh Fort is surrounded by the forest of Sariska and has a very beautiful view all around. But the atmosphere here is quite horrific and scary.
Tourists come here for adventure and to experience the horror of the most haunted place in Asia and the most haunted place in India. If you are fond of history and scary stuff, this is the perfect place for you.
