I’m sure their products are fantastic. Since I started watching your channel though most products/ treatments and supplements are too expensive for most followers. We would need a small mortgage if we used all the products and treatments recommended.
It’s a fair point. I explore the latest innovations which do tend to be more expensive because of the independent research that’s gone into them but I will endeavor to find lower cost options.
Just use tretinoin and sunscreen. We know these work. The thing is, these ingredients are cheaper. There is no patent on tretinoin itself, and therefore no incentive to make money
I would be interested on how the bacillus lycate compares to ectoin. Ectoin is also produced from a bacterium that can survive in extreme environments and has very similar benefits (hydration, protection from uv and stressors), but is way more affordable and accessible.
Agree. We are always looking for the one miracle ingredient. Hmmm. After 24 years in the industry I can safely say NOPE. The skin likes variety. Vitamins. Minerals. Protein. The stuff found in food. Peptides, stem cells etc. Stepping off soapbox now.
I'm highly sceptical to be honest. One study carried out and paid by the company which makes the product doesn't make it science-based for me. Also, you used other products during those two months and you don't mention the in-office treatments you had which could have improved your skin. I wouldn't buy this serum, very expensive and really doesn't have enough objective science behind it. Also, "purging" always makes me suspicious, I think you just had an alregic reaction. Thanks for sharing your experience anyway!
To be fair most skincare studies are paid for by the makers so that’s not unusual but I agree that it’s expensive and I certainly had some kind of reaction to it. I did microneedling at the start of the year but didn’t overlap and have otherwise just followed my basic routine.
I've been using it now twice a day for 2 weeks. Most of the time I never see any change with anything I've ever tried!! I'm planning on using for a few weeks and will give you my honest opinion.
I’m using it too just two weeks now. Twice a day. I noticed the red dots as well. I don’t mind the slight sensation afterwards either. Using it with moisturizer and sun block only.
Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical. Dr. David Sinclair has become questionable backing products that he sells with his "science" that ultimately show little effectiveness in RCTs in humans.. like nmn. Maybe for those over 65 it might help. Is it marketing or real science with him? Hard to tell
❤️ All these new innovations do seem to come with a big price tag. I’m going to do some deeper digging and see if I can find some intriguing lower cost ingredients to explore!
This is absolutely a coincidence that you put this video up at this very minute. My bottle arrived yesterday and I looked up your prior video about this product and I turned around and here you were with a new video and update. I used it twice yesterday and I can’t believe already what I see in the mirror. I see visibly diminished lines and wrinkles. How can one day make such a difference? I’m hooked! Thank you Claire, you truly are the synchronicity of my day.
Oh wow! Glad to have timed that right for you!! Also good to hear that you aren’t experiencing the irritation that I got at the start. Hope it keeps working well for you.
@@janiceg7661 I really did have some instant results, but it didn’t last. I’ve turned to castor oil at night, I think I appreciate this remedy for my wrinkles.:)
Claire, it is fantastic that you are testing Aeonia as I am curious how it will perform for you long run. I have just finished my third bottle and have one more to go. I have noticed that the lines around my eyes have soften but noted a new ones at the same time. I use it only in the morning as it was too irritating. Also, didn't have a good experience with the second purchase as the boxes had seals broken on arrival but the company reassured me that they have a strict measures so nothing wrong with the serums..... Looking forward to your follow up on this product.
It's definitely in the skin around my eyes that I notice the biggest difference. Interesting that you also found it irritating. It does seem to be a thing with the original formula so I really want to try the gentler one but it's still not available. Do let us know final thoughts.
Angel, I want to get it but now I’m thinking which one. I have rosacea, hyperpigmentation and a little of melisma on my forehead which just showed up at 58. Love love your vlogs. So happy you are back. Love you ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I think it might be best to try the gentle serum if you have rosacea. If you do try it, let me know if it helps (or not). Great to be back and I so appreciate your support ❤️❤️
Not impressed by the results. It seems anyone could get similar results with tretinoin and other interventions. I'm not willing to put any 'extremophile' anywhere on my skin. The risk and irritation isn't worth it. There aren't enough long-term studies. I think they discovered something novel and found a way to turn it into a cash cow.
Hi Claire! Happy to see you're back. I am intrigued by the science. They seem to have gone above and beyond most claims. Thank you for bringing this product to our attention.
Did their study have a control condition? Comparison with baseline is not enough. And what does it mean that the serum has a 'purge' period? Does it increase cellular turnover, 'purging' pimples like retinoids? And since it claims such DRASTIC antiageing properties, where is the catch? Wasn't that anti tretinoin doctor saying that there is always a cost? How can we trust all these products not to have some mysterious skin thinning effect, since there are such few, if ANY, studies at all, especially long term?
I think it is always a fair point to say we don't truly know the long-term impact of frequent/daily use of different ingredients, and combinations of ingredients (including preservatives) on our skin. That is why I think less is more and why I tend to use things in lower quantities and frequencies than are recommended by the makers.
Thank you for sharing your experience with this. I'll be honest, the space reference in their marketing is an eye-roll. But I am interested to see if longer term use produces tangible improvement without irritating the skin. The ingredients look beneficial, but I am not going to cave in and purchase it until I learn more about the longer term results.
Sinclair has turned out to be a large disappointment to the longevity community and has caused harm to legitimate anti-aging researchers. He is more about the money than the science.
Thank you for your review. Does it do anything for pores and nasal labial lines (not folds)? It’s so dang expensive it doesn’t make sense to me, but if would help with those two areas I may try. Thx
I can’t say I’ve noticed a big difference in my pores but my wider routine keeps them under control. I don’t think any serum would make a significant difference to nasolabial folds I’m afraid because they are pretty deep set. This serum is more of a skin hydrator and plumper which helps with fine lines as well as adding in the extra UV protection. It is very expensive though, as you say.
I'm sorry but the 3rd ingredient is Alcohol and it contains Citronellol & Linalool which are harmful. If I'm spending this kind of money, I don't want any filler ingredients in my skincare. I'm not risking my skin. BIG NO
The book that Dr Hitchcock co wrote with Dr Day delves deeper into this but basically any product that has ingredients with antimicrobial or antibacterial properties should be avoided. Also don’t exfoliate & don’t over cleanse.
Thank you so much for this video and letting us know about your experience with the products. I'm really looking forward to your other video with Dr. Hitchcock from Biojuve as I am very interested in obtaining this product. I want to hear all questions but if you can sneak in one last one would be amazing; I like to put on castor oil at night all over my face as an occlusive and I learnt that this also a primary ingredient in Biojuve, can I still put on the castor oil at night or would it decrease the effects of the Xycrobe technology. Are proportions important for the action or not really? Have a nice dary!
Hi. I have already done the interview with Dr Hitchcock but we do discuss castor oil. Spoiler alert, he's a fan. I don't ask specifically about using it with his products but he says it is microbiome friendly so shouldn't create an issue.
Hi Clare. I do think your skin looks very healthy and your complexion looks bright with a " plumpness". Certainly interested in the long term results. I think most actives need 3 months to evaluate efficiency. I am always amazed when I read reviews and people claim wonderful results after a week! I noticed a subtle improvement with calecim multi action cream after 3 months and continue to use it.
I agree, though the trials for this one were run over 28 days so they’re marketing it as something that can make a difference in a short period. Good to hear you’re starting to see a difference with Calecim. That one definitely needs time. Shame these products are so expensive!
Not sure I’m convinced enough to make the financial commitment to this one but always interested to hear about new technology 🙏🏻 Can’t wait to watch your next video with Dr Hitchcock. I’m a couple of months into my Biojuve routine & my skin is looking great. Skin barrier repaired, contact dermatitis cleared, rosacea outbreak at bay & skin feeling plump & bouncy. This was a complete rethink for me as I normally have at least 4 steps in my routine & am addicted to regular exfoliation which is the reason my skin barrier was poorly! The Biojuve routine isn’t cheap but with a paring down of the number of products to purchase & almost immediate improvement to my skin it has been worth the investment so far. I’m coming to the end of my Biojuve products & I’m pretty certain I’ll repurchase ❤

Here is my opinion after watching you for a while, you don't need the lotions and potions. You need microblading for your eyebrows and upper blepharoplasty for your eyelids. Boom. 10 years younger!
I’ve had the microblading 😁 and it’s skin health and overall healthy aging that I’m interested in rather than looking ‘young’. But, yes, surgery is the ultimate route cosmetically.

There is no independent research. Companies and scientifics want to get money for the research they're doing. It's all bout the money....
Just use tretinoin and sunscreen. We know these work. The thing is, these ingredients are cheaper. There is no patent on tretinoin itself, and therefore no incentive to make money
