A lot are complaining about how the cables go in. Tip for WD40 is worth remembering.

Can you charge the battery while running the motor? Like off a generator or a solar inverter?

Hi there. I have travel 1003. My propellor is not turning anymore, though the motor is running. Could you tell me how to tighten the propeller on the motor shaft. I am from India Goa, and we don’t have service centre in India

Most probably you need to replace a shear pin, which has broken ruclips.net/video/7B8Szzb1Q6E/видео.html

Your sheer pin has broken, very simple to fix - see torqueedo video on prop replacement. Torqueedo replacement pins cost $1.50, but you make one while you wait from a 2.5mm length of nail or tack. Change back to official pin when it arrives to make sure you have maximum protection for your prop.

The sharp bend in the big cable from the leg to the battery will cause the hair thin control wires to break inside the cable, causing an E-30 that will not go away, bricking your motor. Good engineering principles is no cable bends tighter than a radius of 12X the cable diameter. This is either incompetence or deliberate. The battery is $999.00 and deliberately made with part of the motor circuit in there so you can not use a $200 ebike battery instead. Its a terrible, owner-hostile design made more complex and less reliable in the interest of making sure owners cannot repair anything. They even epoxy the cells into the battery box so you can not change out the cells.

so true. I would have not bought this had I appreciated how crappy the cable setup was.

These type of Outboards really need to have more running time available, went back to a conventional 6hp Suzuki outboard & much happier, if the technology improved drastically maybe l will purchase at that point but as of now no thanks.
