“Could” is the past form of “Can”. “I can’t do that right, now”. “I could have done that earlier”. They both can also be used for future possibilities. “You could do that” or “you can do that”. They’re similar, but you can’t use “can” when talking about the past. They’re weird words. I hoped that helped a little. I love your videos. :)

Your English continues to get better!
Studying sounds a little like: 스-터-디-ing
And if you say you went somewhere, the place you went has ‘the’ in front of it.
    I went to the gym.
    I went to the store.
    I went to the library.
I’ve been making an ASMR video.
    I’ve been making ASMR videos.
    I made an ASMR video.
I will make an ASMR video.
I’ve been in love with her.
    I love her.
    I can’t fall asleep tonight.
I couldn’t fall asleep last night.
Yes! It is right: I couldn’t make an ASMR video because my microphone was broken.
I couldn’t make a video because there were too many noises.
    I should eat.
    I should drink coffee.
The words should and book sound similar.
‘I should eat’ and ‘I’m gonna have to eat’ are similar. Saying ‘I should eat’ if you have not eaten for a while is common. I would say ‘I should eat’ if it was dinner time and I had not eaten since breakfast time.
I am so happy to see your new video. 😊

"Could" is the past tense of "can".
    - I cannot sleep NOW
    - I could not YESTERDAY
Sometimes, 'could' is also used in a different way.
    A request (요청):
    - Can you do that for me?
    - Could you do that for me?
--> Both are in present tense, but 'could' is just more polite.
    A wish (희망):
    - I wish I could have a horse
    A possiblity (가능):
    - In the garden, my cat could run away --> possibility (가능). Your cat could do that. Just an option. It is not certain
    VERSUS
In the garden, my cat can run away --> ability (능력). Your cat can do that. Just a fact. It is certain
    I hope I explained it decently 🥺🥺🥺

    Hey!
When you say "I've been", you add words that end with "-ing" to the end.
    Like this:
    -I've been studying
    -I've been working
    -I've been shopping
Then you can add more to the end like this:
    -I've been studying english
    -I've been working hard
    -I've been shopping for food
    -I've been making asmr videos
    .
    I hope this helps :)

Your face while thinking about the English words - it is like looking in a mirror 😂 me when I practice Korean.

Your English is getting so much better. When you said, "I am about to go to gym," you forgot to use the word "the" in it. For an example, instead of saying "I am about to go to gym" you can say "I'm about to go to the gym," or if it is not a particular gym you can say "I'm about to go to a gym." Also when you said "I'm about to go to school," that was correct. Keep up the good work.

I love this video concept! Your pronunciation is really good and it's very cool that you don't mind working through how to say things on camera. The ear to ear whisper is super tingly.

18:16 Yes, you’re right. You were really close actually! You wouldn’t use the word ‘made’ after ‘been’ for that sentence.
    You could say:
    “I’ve been making ASMR (videos).”
    Or
    “I’ve made ASMR (videos).”
Both of these mean that you have made ASMR in the past.

  • @herezmikey
    @herezmikey 3 года назад +2

When going over "I've been," you can say "I've been making ASMR videos for a long time," or something like that. You were right in saying "making" instead a "made" "Made" is a word we say if we did something in the past, for an example "I've made ASMR videos in the past." So you are correct in using the word "making."

8:11 i went to THE gym to workout
When you’re talking about going to a
specific place you almost always add “the” before it. for example
    “i’m going to THE restaurant”
    “i’m going to THE movies”
