I agree with Carly because when I do my hair before/ for bed it always looks better then when I do the exact same hair style in the morning.

I love that curly bun that Colette somtimes will do at the crown of her head . I wish I knew how she did it!
I use more of Carlies technique but they are right when they say its different every time. You just have to play with the bun and pull pieces out to make it have more volume. Great video ladies! :)

Carlie.. Used to do a "messy bun" for volleyball, and had so many compliments, that I started wearing it during my short-shower-time college years.

You are definitely right about messy buns looking really good before bed, this always happens to me! On a night I'll throw my hair up in a messy bun then think it looks really good then when it comes to mornings when I am putting it up for work I try to do the same again and it never looks as good!!

Can't do my bun like Kayli's when I try, but they always end up like that! So I was so happy to learn something different-Carlie's way...it worked so well! So cute! And my hair is only shoulder length and layered! Thank you! :)

I normally do mine like Carlie, but Kayli, I just tried the way that you do it and I love it! It works so much better for my hair than the way Carlie does it. Wow, this video was handy ;P

Messy bun is a little more complicated for me, because my hair is about 36 inches long! But I still love it, for those lazy days :)

both of their hair is soo thin and I have superrr thick hair and it's soo hard to get my bun to stay
Same. My hair is super long ( almost 3 feet ) and thick so the bun ends up being as big as my head and all it does it tangle my hair.
I no u don't want to BT having it cut shorter can make it seem thinner and make it easier to stay in a bun
Use bobby pins and hair spray! I have SUPER thin hair it's actually just as hard for it to stay as thick hair and it works for me:) hope this helps👯

The way I did mine was always really hit and miss and it could take up to 3 pony tail holders but I love Carlie's way :)

More hairstyles for shoulder-length hair, please! Also, my hair is super thick and when it was long, it took me about an hour and 15 minutes go curl. I always wondered if there was a way to speed up the process. Any tips?
I do one sorta like Carlie's but you have to elastics the first one you put it in a pony that isn't pulled all the way through and then with the second pony you take your hair and mess the loop all up by pulling and stuff then you take the other elastic and wrap it around any loose pices and pin anywhere you don't like
i do mine similar to Carlie's except i wrap the band two times around, like im doing a pony, then i go for a third time but i pull half way down my hair twist the tie and flip my hair thru backwards, i know the way i described it is confusing lol. i would like to see more cooking videos from both of you :)

i love the way both of them do it but the way i do it is i litturaly just grab my hair , grab a holder and pull through half way, add hairspray...(lots) and finish! lol what i would love to see on this channel is short curly vids or curly haired taimers as i have short curly hair. #iloveheykaily
Carlie's way is a bit easier for me but both the buns look good
I do mine so many different ways, my go to one lately is just pulling my hair up in a ponytail, and then twisting my hair and wrapping it around itself and pinning it down. Or I do what Carlie does and flip my wrist around twice, not just once, or my hair falls out.

my favorite messy bun is when i just take my hair and twist it all and then I twist is around in a circle if that makes sense !! I always get compliments on it too !!

You could just put it in a ponytail and add seasalt spray and scrunch your hair, Zoella is a perfect example of how this turns out.
