I think the biggest thing that scares me about the Godzilla Fandom that it’s mostly comprised of young and impressionable children, and its cases like Alyssa’s that kind of prove that point. As more mature people, we have a responsibility to call out and protect those who are too young to protect themselves. It’s similar to that of the Roblox community, a place that’s mostly comprised of children, thus more of these degenerates flood in. What a disgusting world we live in sometimes.

Shin Godji is purple and red funnily enough. I like how the pink color homages to Godzilla 2000, because I don't think the millennium era gets enough representation. (Occasionally maybe, but it's usually in the form of Kiryu, not Godzilla)

That’s a perfectly reasonable opinion honestly, if they went out of their way to be phobic that would’ve been ban worthy. All they did was dislike, which could mean more than then just being anti-LGBT. They could have simply disliked the new content for unrelated reasons.
All this toxic negativity and positivity has been infuriating. When I saw Kaiju Kim's video, I decided that I was done with this fandom. The things she showed that people are doing is unacceptable. Like Rick said, some people have a severe superiority complex and think that their opinions are objective. And can just do what they want. It's awful. I've actually saw in the comments of one of the Omni viewers videos that someone said that GxK panders to Gen alpha kids. Like, what? This has been getting on my nerves since Minus one came out.
To be fair, subjectivity is implied, and I could understand why some people would see why GXK would be pandered towards a younger demographic. But overall, I agree, there are plenty of people who get highly defensive over subjective art and that’s how toxicity tends to breed. I find that toxic positivity tends to be more prevalent than negativity, but the point still stands.

Similar to how Rob from E.T.N did when people were harassing him and his family just for not liking the movie. Even though I've said that the Hesisi movies are my all time favorites. I've been a Godzilla fan since I was a toddler and people said I'm a faker or a young fan that knows nothing just for liking the legendary movies and not the (at the time) shiny new Toho movie. The toxic positivity has worsen over the years, but I've also noticed lots of toxic negativity as well from people being super pessimistic just because it's not what they want and try so hard to make people feel bad for liking a certain iteration of the character. Despite the fact that the kind of Godzilla movies they do want are still being made. Like Minus one. It's not fair to be one sided on these discussions of toxicity. We should call out all forms of it. People need to understand that we all have preferences and not everything is going to be made to only suit certain wants. We all like and want different things from a Godzilla movie. Things like people not liking Shin Godzilla or the Monsterverse shouldn't be seen as a personal attack. I like the Monsterverse and Minus one, but they're just movies in the end of the day so people can feel and say what they want. As long as their not trying to shame others.

While I do like the notion of Shin Godzilla being a more horrific depiction of the character, I can see why people would dislike it. I was part of the godzilla fandom a few years ago I think maybe since 2018 or 2019. I never really took an interest to it before hand but after a while of watching the movies I started to like it but then I left it behind until the release of Godzilla X Kong the new empire. I really enjoyed the movie and its what got me back into monsterverse. And I honestly feel like this will never end, all this drama and just anything bad in general. I’ll admit sometimes I make some brainrot godzilla art to make a joke for my tiktok since my account can basically be considered as a joke at this point. But I feel ashamed of some of this fandom it’s disappointing to see people being this gross over on a movie series of a character meant to represent the dangers of nuclear weapons, I haven’t conversed with much people in the fandom but I have met some awesome people too who I have become friends with I’m glad I could find some friends even from different age groups. (Sorry if this was long)
Unfortunately this will never end. Humans will always cause problems, it's just the nature of things. However, many, MANY more humans are like those awesome people that you've met and made friends with. You have to take a bunch of food with a bit of bad, it sucks but we can always do what we can to nullify that bad.

They devs are in the wrong. If he hates on lgbtq, then that's questionable but understandable because they are incredibly questionable in my eyes. I personally like the design, the color is off-putting, and Godzilla's charging and atomic breath sounds were underwhelming. I’m glad I’m not apart of the Godzilla fanbase right now, I used to like Godzilla a lot before 2021 when GvK came out and for a long while I wasn’t really into how Godzilla fans were getting and kinda stopped caring about Godzilla content, which was mostly why I enjoyed GxK because I got to see less of him since I already knew what he was gonna be doing anyways, so now that this’s come up, I’m glad to know I saved myself from this issue early on and aren’t in the same spotlight as the people as bad as talked about in this video, I still would’ve been disappointed in my own fanbase if I decently liked Godzilla but that’s not the point.
I came here to enjoy my favorite monster but I don’t even think I can do that without having to go through all of this. I’m wondering if there is a way I can be a fan while staying away from all of this stuff.

Not liking Godzilla for being pink is fine, liking Godzilla for being pink is fine. Not every aesthetic is for everyone. I personally like the design, the color is off-putting, and Godzilla's charging and atomic breath sounds were underwhelming. For 1 movie its fine, but i'd like them to go back to blue and the OG sounds.

would it be more effective to say we as human beings should stop with this behaviour to become better versions of oursleves? we have to think about how each person is human and a fandom can only get better is the people mad up of the fandom become better people. so basically tell them to become better people because you become happier that way. so instead of "message to godzilla fandom" how about "message to you as a godzilla fan"? let me know your thoughts!
I've never really understood problems with racism or sexism in this and other fandoms I'm in. We're all people at the end of the day, we all enjoy similiar things, but some people just want to go overboard.

I’m glad I’m not apart of the Godzilla fanbase right now, I used to like Godzilla a lot before 2021 when GvK came out and for a long while I wasn’t really into how Godzilla fans were getting and kinda stopped caring about Godzilla content, which was mostly why I enjoyed GxK because I got to see less of him since I already knew what he was gonna be doing anyways, so now that this’s come up, I’m glad to know I saved myself from this issue early on and aren’t in the same spotlight as the people as bad as talked about in this video, I still would’ve been disappointed in my own fanbase if I decently liked Godzilla but that’s not the point.

In my honest opinion when his evolved form first showed I wasn't a fan since he's never had pink energy and it wasn't until I found out that it was a homage to the millennium Godzilla as well as giving it time did it start growing on me.
