    I really would like a better idea of when this will be released. If I know when then I can decide if I wait and purchase this or if I do not know then I will go ahead and purchase something else. What is the price going to be?

      Hi Paul, Beryl AX will be released in Q1 of January, and the price would sit between the price of Beryl and Slate AX. For more information, please subscribe to the Beryl AX email list for the latest update and offer: www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-mt3000/

    Is this supposed to be better than the Slate AX 1800?

    • @GLTechnologies
      @GLTechnologies  Год назад

      Hi Ryan! Beryl AX has faster Wi-fi speed and OpenVPN speed; and Slate AX has faster Wire Guard speed and a SD card slot. Which product is better will depend on your needs

      I bought the Slate AX 1800 a month ago and love it. I did see the new GL-MT3000 and did a comparison and to be honest, the differences are not huge. Using one over the other you won't really see a difference. However, the Slate AX 1800 has a micro SD card slot and an additional ethernet port (3 vs 2). The GL-MT3000 is smaller which is a huge pro for travelers (the 1800 to me is a bit on the chunky side even though you can sit it on your hand). I think the one big decider is that the AX 1800 has a quad core processor while the MT3000 has a dual core. To me personally, the AX 1800 is still better.

    I bought a Beryl router 6 months ago. I couldn’t get internet connectivity using it as a WiFi repeater after checking into this Westin hotel. I emailed my trouble to technical support, messengered and twittered for help. I got a document link, which I have already tried before contacting them, in response. No further response or help since. Don’t count on getting useful technical help with this company!

      @@GLTechnologies I am hesitated to give out my contact publicly. But You guys really need to review your tutorials on RUclips and focus on getting existing customers running on your devices. Provide task-base tutorials rather than going through menu items one by one. Going through a different methods when one method failed.
      For example, what are the best practices when connecting to an airport, cruise, or hotel Wi-Fi? What if the Wi-Fi is connected but no internet. Show your users screen by screen to get the connection.
      What if connected but no captive portal pops up?
      When to use MAC Clone? It is the most reliable method?
      I struggled with your devices every time I am traveling. And it was so frustrated that no real technical support can be found. I tried Email, messenger, and twitter but couldn’t get reliable response in time. I ended up using one of my Android phone as a repeater, with VPN or not. As it turned out to be much easier.
