After putting this manga on hold for a year (and accidentally reading the OneShot), i got hooked, like a lot i've read all of the chapters that were out at the time(161) in 5 days, reading 2-3 hours a day and man i'm in love and getting super excited for the anime adaptation.
Same here , It was my first romance manga and I was not disappointed, it felt very wholesome and it has the same vibes like haikyuu in the sports department
you're such a good writer man. i love how easy-going and personal this video felt. and i love blue box and your videos. i'll be following you from now on 🙏
awww thank you! this video on blue box was definitely the best in terms of editing quality so dont get your hopes too high, but its definitely set the bar for my channel going forward so look forward to that ;)
Ive read up to the latest chapter 85. I would say one of my all time favs. The plot felt real, not too rush. The romance dynamics, love triangles all felt sincere and genuine. Nothing perverted. The sports aspect drove it home due to how relatable it was to me. The harsh reality that just because you train hard, don't mean you would win everything. It's just how it is. I love it, I hope that one day, this gets an anime adaptation. Goated
Your content is great man. You deserve more subscribers. Also, I really hope Production I.G. animates this, because it's already top 10 in Japanese sales, so an anime is already guaranteed.
My best elevator pitch of Blue Box is this: Horimiya plus sports. Just like how Hyouka uses mysteries as a means to develop the cast, Blue Box uses sports for character growth. Also I wanted to say that you make great content. I love your script and music choices in the witch bat atelier video! Also, can you do a video on Sousou no Frieren? It's a laid-back and unique take on an "epilogue" fantasy story.
Great video and great editing! I’ve been reading Blue Box since day 1 and I absolutely love it. The aquarium chapter is my favorite so far. Are there any other new-ish (
thank you so much!! personally for me I really like chapter 16, (where Hina thinks about them being “kindred spirits” really hits for me) Witch watch is also one Im really excited about! Kenta shinohara’s previous work Astra lost in space was at one point my favorite manga and is still at least top 3, that being said witch watch is definitely a much different direction so I took a bit of a break from it to see how the opinion of it held up online, but if it’s one of your favorites i’ll be sure to give it another go! Spy x Family is also a great one that Ive been reading since it came out, the only other series Ive actually taken the time to read has been choujin X by Sui Ishida of Tokyo Ghoul fame, that one is definitely still in its infancy though so well see how it holds up but the first 7 or so chapters have been fun so far, but there are a definite handful I have yet to read that Im really excited to! now that this video is finished I have the downtime to do so, and if any really get me going theyll be a video themselves so stay tuned ;) off the top of my head Sakamoto days, Kaiju no. 8, the elusive samurai, the hunters guild red hood, and reaper girl all sound fun to me!
@@Tsumamii Astra Lost in Space was amazing! I read it recently and was blown away. Witch Watch certainly takes a different direction but if you enjoyed the funnier moments of Astra then you’ll probably love Witch Watch. I really enjoy Kaiju no. 8 too, it’s a great action manga with fantastic art (the “Kaiju Showcase” color illustrations that come out every so often are breathtaking!). I haven’t checked out the other series you mentioned yet but I’ll definitely get around to them at some point. I’ll have to check out Choujin X soon!
Wow this is a great video thank you!! Your editing is really good! I caught up to the manga today after a few days of reading and I'm loving it a lot! Are you still reading it and if so what do you think?
ofc Im still reading it! I think the series did dip a bit in quality around the school festival, a bit too tropey. but these recent chapters have rocked! like I say in the video one thing I love about blue box is that it felt so grounded, and I think the recent chapters highlight apart of romance that dont often get highlighted, and I think as always Miura has done a splendid job of keeping Taiki a very respectable MC too!
agreed the school festival was a bit tropey but I still liked it regardless, but I think Blue Box handles tropes really well on the whole to be honest, because the characters, especially Taiki, are so relatable and grounded like you said! anyways great video again thoroughly enjoyed it :D
I still adore this series! one of the only ones I read weekly. admittedly, romance is a genre I kinda have to push myself to read, I dont think its bad by any means its just not what I gravitate towards naturally. the only ones I can really name of the top of my head are kaguya sama (the go to) and adachi and shimamura (less comedic but I found myself laughing at the sweetness of the moments)
Some stories close at least in the sports romance drama genre is what I can think of is Major and Major 2nd. Any of Mitsuru Adachi manga (which I just learned the author was inspired by his works for blue box) Cross Game and Mix might be the easiest to read/watch from his.
Thank you for making such a perfectly balanced and beautifully crafted tribute to one of my favourite manga. It's a highlight of every weekend!
thank you very much! it really is a special series, every chapter just leaves me even more excited for the next!

Literally just caught up to the manga just now and I cannot get enough of this manga,, I can’t wait for the next chapter
I started reading it yesterday and so far I'm really enjoying it.
that’s fantastic to hear!!
It's amazing that we're going to have an anime adaptation soon
i recently got into blue box, your video did this series such justice
Amazing video my man, great editing as well. I freaking love this manga as much as you, can’t wait to see where this manga goes with its characters
ahhhh much love
Binged all current 81 chapters the other day in one day, now I’m starved for more.
Would also love to see an adaptation eventually
Newest chapter was so good, barely anyone's talking about this manga and it's crazy to me
Blue box is incredible I have re-read it twice chapter 35 is super good when I think it’s just building up to something really big

I LOVE FRIEREN!!!
@@Tsumamii more people need to read Frieren 😭
You did your thing with the editing on this one chief! Awesome vid.
P.S. Kot-Kat reminds me of something but I can't quite place it
are you thinking of Nestle Cronch bars? or maybe Twox?
@@Tsumamii Oh I just remembered! It was actually Snockers.
Bruh gotta get more subs so he can post more again
Really nice video and I'm sure to check it out!
