Vacation Rental Review - The Pedestal House, Tan-Tar-A Estates

- A few months ago, I was given the opportunity to tour a property I've been curious about for years. The Tan-Tar-A Estates in Osage Beach, MO contain many cool mid-century vacation homes. But this one takes unique design to the absolute max - it's a round house sitting on a pedestal over the lake.

OMG this just made my life long dream of getting to the USA one day even more needed lol
Very cool! Makes me want to visit it!
I like to imagine that the locked door under the house goes to a secret lair of some sort, the house has that vibe
Ive been binging all your tan tar a reviews from years ago and boom, a new video. Thanks for making my day.
Thank you for this, I too have admired this since I was a teenager with my parents vacationing and remember when it was being built. I still pass by this in a boat frequently and see it a lot. It looks like they are currently in the middle of some exterior rennovations, hopefully restoring it to it's full glory and not something stupid like they've been doing with the resort. Very stunning views from that place but not surprising if this was owned by Burton Duenke - the guy had an eye for great locations with his developments.
This place is incredible! Thank you for sharing. I remember when you drove up to it in one of your previous videos. The views must be some of the best from a private home on the lake. I wish I could live there! I bet it is worth upwards of over a million dollars or more.
What a treat!
water view is my favorite part.
Awesome! I've always wanted to see this place, especially ever since one of the resort tour videos where you drove down too it!
Amazing Place, Thanks for Sharing!
Wow! What an awesome place!
This house just screams out one word. Character. From the sunken viewing area to that master "bathtub", this place just has so much charm. Would love to rent it out for a week and enjoy the scenery.

Indeed you just don't see things like this anymore, it's kind of a shame when they renovated the interior that they changed it instead of just renewing the original materials keeping the look the same. It's what made it so special and it took you back to a simpler and I'd say better time in the USA.
Love the House And the Scenery! I love the view of the lake that's my favorite spot is the Lake. I like views like that! Happy 4th of July! God bless the USA! Go USA!
Revisit the Amoco in St Louis bc I think they added a PDQ Tandem Surfline
Awesome house! Glad you finally got to see it! You should maybe consider purchasing investment property there at some point.
Wow! Just wow! Jacob, this place is absolutely amazing and awesome! Just wow is all I have to say!😸😻😸
What A wunderful place!
Amazing!
I want to live there!
Very interesting house
That’s a very nice place to stay at
Pretty awesome
Might be a bit dated, but that looks like the best unit on the property - by far. I’d strongly consider renting it. Definitely a brilliant property.
@Stephen Weber
But the "groovy" design and that incredible interior when first built is what gives it incredible character, it's too bad they updated the decor inside, they should have just renovated with fresh materials but kept the original design inside. I love it. You don't see this kind of individualism in homes anymore.
This property is available for rent on VRBO
What an amazing place! And the view ! Thank you for sharing! I didn’t know it existed.
That‘s awesome!!! I would love to see more how it was befor remodeling. Happy 4th 🇺🇸

Happy Fourth of July everyone I hope everyone’s having a great day :D
Why don't you sign up as an affiliate where these listings are and leave a link to the listing? Looks like vrbo gives you 3% of the rent stay for anyone that would book it through your link.
How much to rent this place?
*Would have been really cool if the owners would have just kept the original decor but renewed it!*
It's part of history and should have been kept original. Maybe they will consider this for the next renovation.

No one cares
Next year, this house won’t be available for rental, it’s going to be private
I just talked to the property manager and she said they have no plans to sell or go private. 🤔
Oh, my bad.
