Hearing Bill makes my heart do nothing but weep now. I watched most of the Storm Chasers series, but never got around to seeing Sean’s actual project completely, even after all this time. The quest to find it and finally watch it begins!
You can only find it in the Smithsonian museum now. When I first came out I actually got to see it, got a poster signed and I got to look inside TIV2. Granted I was like 6 at the time so.
I've driven TIV2. It's a beast. One of my life's highlights. I can't believe Sean was cool enough to let me take it for a spin. It may even show up on this season's Storm Chasers episodes.
I was happy I got to see this last year when I was home on leave. I learned about Sean Casey back in '07 when the book "Big Weather" fell into my hands. Ever since then, I've kept an eye out for the IMAX movies release. This was a great documentary and I look forward to seeing it on blu-ray. Also, imagine my surprise when I found out they made a tv show featuring Sean Casey and the second season on had Reed on it. Teach me for working outside of the states.
I remember meeting him when he was taking TIV2 on a tour around the states. I was only around 9 or 10 and Sean was so nice to both my mom and I. He seems like he’s not so nice in the shoes but he’s a nice guy once you meet him
I watched this back in November of 2011 when I was 11 years old at the American Museum of Natural History in Fort Worth, it's a real shame there's no way to find it now. And rest in peace to the late Bill Paxton. One of my favorite actors ever.
The images are incredible, I watched ‘Storm Chasers’ and the chases all seemed nervy, frantic and rushed, but the images are showing powerful and Beautiful images that show the calm before the storm. It really shows the talent and bravery needed to get these shots, that give that sense of calmness when I fact in the TIV all hell is really breaking loose.
@@duglife2230 Same. But you will need a 4K Blu-ray player it will NOT work in a standard Blu-ray player. It works on the Xbox One S and Xbox One X. The film was amazing.
I think Bill Paxton is a nice touch... After all, who hasnt seen Twister?? Of course Twister was a joke and anyone who knows weather finds it comical, but still its a nice touch.
I don’t know all of its inaccuracies because I’m not a weather expert, but I still think Twister gave a lot of people a better idea than they had of what tornadoes are like. I would guess there are many meteorologists who like the movie, and perhaps a few who became interested in weather because of it.
Lemme tell you that if you've ever been in a tornado you wouldn't wanna do it again. I've been in two too many.. I hope I'm never in one again for any reason whatsoever. Once from under a bridge in Illinois and another in Texas and one almost in Ohio just west of Xenia.. I'm tellin you they can scare the turds out of your ass in no time flat..
Need help!!!....I saw.this vhs tape storm chasers back in 08...the guy wanting to record in IMAX..was getting irritated because a younger guy with his girlfriend and in just a regular car were always getting great footage he had a vhs recorder and would get dangerously close ON FOOT to the tornadoe...who was this younger guy 20ish is he still alive?

Dorothy's original goal lives on.

I knew that was Bill Paxton's voice. sad he died this past weekend. I clicked on this video not expecting for him to narrate this. cool
It's fitting that Bill Paxton was the narrator, due to his role in Twister.
RIP Bill Paxton.
@@777Abrams that was understood without it needing to be said, thank you.
Where to watch

Go to a museum that is showing it. Check your area museums to see if it is airing near you. If not, wait until it comes out on Blu-Ray.

Wow nice resolution!😍
After all the investment of making the movie, why not put it out on DVD?
You're right. Not even put it out on DVD/Blu-Ray across the America and the U.S. Territories.
