There are very real concerns to be had by the direct contribution to climate disaster caused by LA siphoning water from an entire corner of the country. It's one thing to understand that and make space for that but human being are human beings and almost everybody harmed by those fires are just regular working people. Many lost their entire lives physically or emotionally. The way a lot of people have reacted is Ghoulish (as AP Mike once said)

Before the Spaniards showed up, the local Californians would do controlled burns and brush clearing to run small nomad farms. All of that has changed, and the land has not caught up to the last 150 years.
