+Slygon Well, in the beginning of the century most computers would not handle a large army of units fighting on the screen. Play Warcraft I and You will feel how important one unit can be. ; )
i actually feel the exact opposite how many times are there been one unit clutches in brood war? compared to sc2 sc2 has hundreds of tournament games with one unit clutches
Actually you're wrong. In SC1 all units just do normal damage. It doesn't really matter what unit deals it. In SC2 there are lots of yin&yang pairs, like enemies whose attacks ignore armor, and those that don't... units that are great at taking out a particular enemy, and units that are severely weak to one particular enemy... units that can take out shields very quickly, but aren't as strong against typical HP... etc.
Jeremy No, Jeremy. in SC1 there are three types of damage. For example Frag grenades from vultures do only 1/4 damage to large units such as structures and Dragoons.
Not using hotkeys really bothers me. Also, during 2nd wave, you could use guardians as another defense layer, killing enemies without taking any damage.
Good job, but I wonder if you could do it if your base has an larger entrance or two entrances. With just one narrow entrance its just to hold it and then start killing them little by little, as you did!
Afaik it is, it is in wiki of big starcraft fun site teamliquid.net, and it did exist so many years that people would catch on it if they would spread viruses.
It's $10 for Starcraft. $20 if you insist to have Brood War, but I wouldn't recommend getting the expansion until you've already played the original Starcraft's campaign. You might find your nostalgia sated after that anyway.
There's so many things that just seem "off" to me about this, that I think BGH must be glitching out the AI's and making them stupid: - Brown zerg basically built nothing and was easily beaten. - None of the protoss built arbiters to stasis you? My ass, happens ALL THE TIME in the campaign. - Also, only one templar storm from the enemy AI the whole time? - The AI knows how to set up tanks outside of Sunken range, so why aren't they doing it here? I'd like to see you do this on a normal map where the AI functions normally and doesn't glitch out like it did here.
Very true. I tried 'The Hunters' map and damn siege tanks destroy my wall in minutes. Damn templars come with shuttle drop and destroy my economics or just kill all lurkers and guardians with storms.
Still impressive but you forgot to mention to change the amount of gas available and I'm positive you changed the size of the minerals in the map editor.....with that said did some things i did not think of
Those minerals last surprisingly long...I wonder if you could do the same without editting the map before hand... How I miss the dragon yell when dying!
Felix Lumbreras he’s playing on big game hunters, which is blizzard’s official money map. The minerals are set extremely high by default. No editing involved. It’s also what makes it extremely easy to beat 7 computers. Basically anybody who’s played the game for a little while could do this. This video is pretty pointless.
very sloppy computer bots.. in other versions computer quickly respond to guardians with corsairs and Valkyries and the second wave for terran includes siege thanks with scanning for lurkers..if you dont have mutas to respond to those tanks at that time you are defeated in the first 15 min...
Cute, but I would've used mind control on an SCV & Probe. Then concentrated on taking out the mineral line, followed by the pylons & supply depots. It would have been over a lot quicker that way (especially if you had medics to back you up!)...
1.If cpu zerg in 6 & 9 o'clock, it will not work, so it's not called 1vs 7. But this video is still cool. 2.As 1, less one cpu zerg, less one chance you get zerg rush. And it's strange, you don't have any attack unit after so many mins, but you still don't get zerg rush. It's lucky or I forget some rules?
Hell Ryder ¡No!

For example Frag grenades from vultures do only 1/4 damage to large units such as structures and Dragoons.
i think what he meant was, there is no "extra" damage to certain unit/armor types.
Thank you!
Why no tank for second wave?? It usually dozen of tank attack our home...
Overlord is detector?
Not using hotkeys really bothers me. Also, during 2nd wave, you could use guardians as another defense layer, killing enemies without taking any damage.
perfect build order and werry nice micro/macro :) great job
keep up the good work
Good job, but I wonder if you could do it if your base has an larger entrance or two entrances. With just one narrow entrance its just to hold it and then start killing them little by little, as you did!
why i cant see any other air enemy in that game?Maybe you should try other map
in the early game
+QA VN especially in sc2
how are you countering psionic storms?
Carpal Tunnel Gadgets he's not.
Guardians were practically invencible in SC1, wide range of attack and their spores were strong enough to kill almost 1 unit in a couple of hits
Well said in SC1. Because in the broodwar expansion you get the goliath range upgrades which balanced the situation a bit.
this are my favorite to use in StarCraft
Enemy siege tanks never siege up? And why don't you consume zerglings instead of making so many defilers.
Because he is a noob.
Was I the only one who tried to move the map with the arrow keys and rewinded the video?
was big game hunters an official blizz map or a custom map?
When the video is almost as large as the game itself :)
I lost my old disc to this game, how can I play it again? Is there a way to get on the internet without getting a virus?
Google ICCUP, you can download it there, and also play online on they server if you want multiplayer.
And it's free of viruses?
Afaik it is, it is in wiki of big starcraft fun site teamliquid.net, and it did exist so many years that people would catch on it if they would spread viruses.
Well, I've done some research on it and it looks pretty safe. Maybe I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
It's $10 for Starcraft. $20 if you insist to have Brood War, but I wouldn't recommend getting the expansion until you've already played the original Starcraft's campaign. You might find your nostalgia sated after that anyway.
You're crazy dude.
There's so many things that just seem "off" to me about this, that I think BGH must be glitching out the AI's and making them stupid:
- Brown zerg basically built nothing and was easily beaten.
In what folder is the Big Game hunters map?
What version of hunters is this is there two different ones like one original and one brood war?
Also I love this map and I think this version is better
:D
Some additional challenges:
-No air units
-No static D
-No BGH
@Alex Burlingham
1. Do you even grammar bro
2. Chill out and refrain from making bizarre assumptions
3. Learn what "additional challenges" means
this player basically has to pray that the comp doesn't 4-pool
Still impressive but you forgot to mention to change the amount of gas available and I'm positive you changed the size of the minerals in the map editor.....with that said did some things i did not think of
really nice!! :D me and my friends join to 3 vs 3 map and failed after 10 minutes :))
Hello! What program did you use to record your "playing Starcraft" video? And what is your OS?
Thanks!
nice man, 1v7 is hard!
I don't care about others opinion I think this was a great game keep it up air units all day
Those minerals last surprisingly long...I wonder if you could do the same without editting the map before hand...
Can you do this without simcity turtling??
Jason Soliva no, the sheer numbers being thrown at you makes it impossible to get past the second to third wave.
very sloppy computer bots.. in other versions computer quickly respond to guardians with corsairs and Valkyries and the second wave for terran includes siege thanks with scanning for lurkers..if you dont have mutas to respond to those tanks at that time you are defeated in the first 15 min...
how do you record Starcraft? none of the recording programs i tried were able to detect the game's screen.
Didn’t use nudist to get zerglings past his barrier. :( Use zerglings to kill structures after defenses are gone.
I didn't know you can use walling in zerg
Cute, but I would've used mind control on an SCV & Probe. Then concentrated on taking out the mineral line, followed by the pylons & supply depots. It would have been over a lot quicker that way (especially if you had medics to back you up!)...
You play Original or Extension Starcraft ?? Original Starcraft is cpu intelligent and fight better than Extension Starcraft
It's lucky or I forget some rules?
classic. ty
Instinctively hitting the hotkey to speed up the replay only to realise that it doesn't work lol
why didn't you morph the outer most creep colony into a sunken at 5:46?
vincentlai12 he did that because it wouldnt get focused that way otherwise the enemies would have facerolled his base.. basicly its a blockade
vincentlai12 Same logic as using a supply depot to block. SC1 > SC2 btw.
Walkthrough gj!
Ese juego es para OS 32BITS O 64BITS¡? por favor responder...
¡Hola!
Hell Ryder ¡No!
He jugado desde hace 8 años.
Goliats, Siege tanks, Valkyries, Templars, Reavers, Carriers???
Try to deal with 7 zerg at fastest map.
gg, what about keyboard shortcuts???
is this the only way to 1v8 as zerg?
i think the "walkthrough" does not fit on this video... IMO
I Must Occur
What's them defilers for?
Kathy Azwan defilers use swarm, plague and can consume other units for energy
observer at 14:44
Dude.... Those sounds though... They should have enhanced them or give them some kind of boost of improvement for the latest SC's... Amazing sounds.
We require more minerals
We require more vespene gas
SPAWN MOAR OVALODS!
