I'm really late on saying this, it probably won't be seen but I really want to write about it I have many favorite songs, Oscillation is one of them. I've cried while listening to this before, and that's how damn good this song is. Hearing it for the first time ever on a blind playthrough is something I wish I could relive. On my first playthrough, I was so immersed by this song that I wasn't aware of my surroundings. As soon as this song ended, a Watcher spotted me before I even knew it was there. That was my first ever death in Deepwoken and I couldn't ask for a better one. The mystery of not knowing the danger that lurks within The Depths, going through the city in hopes of finding an escape, this song really encapsulates that feeling. It's so good that it puts a smile on my face, I'm proud to be making an animated series on this game. I only hope it'll make other people smile too.
When I was first starting out I thought the music started to change because something was chasing me or I did something significant. Very impactful song.
For a soundtrack of the place that has you closest to death, it's surprisingly calm. The amount of calm for it to be the depths soundtrack is kind of scary.

The first time i went here it made me chill go from the top of my roof, i was on edge trying to make a move it feels like im actually there because of the atmosphere and the music
This music litterally makes you feel like a diver exploring the depths and charting it down in a map or something, the relaxing melody shows the aspect or exploration and discovery whilst the intense vocals show the sacrifices of the divers who fall to the monsters in battle. This ost is sick and gives much more DEPTH to the depths, (Lol). Good job Naktigonis and thanks for this amazing peace man! :D
The music of deepwoken just makes it lively and full of emotions in my opinion it's not just the gameplay but the sheer sound of the game makes it so amazing and how it makes some places like the depth which in game is closest thing to death and brings fear to the player while dogging monster and fighting for your character just makes it so I can't even explain such a soft calming sound in a scary and unforgivable land
This song is so good. Since people are saying what they interpret it as, might as well put my own interpretation here. I've always imagined this song in the shoes of the character you play as rather than a theme to add to atmosphere (which it already does very well). I've seen this as a song that shows that your character is holding on, and persevering through what little hope lies down in the depths. The ominous tone around f it adds to that feeling of hope in a sea of hopelessness (no pun intended) I love your work man. Keep up the bangers.
I am late, but your comment paired with the short description of the video actually correlate, Invictus is a poem made to lifts ones courage when there is noone at all to face the harshness despite the odds.
Nakt, You are a musical genius, this track has to be my favorite because of the instrumental progression, also that various amount of fear, that slowly advances as you go on, endlessly hoping some corrupted enemy dont spawn as you make it out, as it can all be lost in just an instant. The beginning tone was already creepy and it couldve stayed that way with that singular tune, but there is an adventuristic aspect added to it with the progression that makes it so great for this part, whether locating the bells or hopping the wall, you have a sense of fear but a slight uplifting, ambitious tone, where you think to yourself youre going to make it out, refusing to wipe. I've always been unusually scared of the depths and even when i have to just have to walk to somewhere i always get this sense of unease, the only reason i can be so scared of the depths is because the music really sets the atmosphere down here, the dread, the stench of death and the sorrow of all of the drowned. I remember, the first time I went to the depths, it felt like a depressing place where people thought they were gifted with the warm welcome of the ferryman but instead went to this hell of a place, there is no happiness and is a place where hopes go die. It felt like a depressing world, die twice, go to the depths and you couldn't escape that cycle. The devs genuinely made the lore so good that its worth binging. Most people do know how Etrean Luminant is sinking but nobody knows what actually will happen after it does sink. The Old Tales, nothing but much, the welcome of the ferryman isn't existant, drowning is the only solution.

This song makes me feel as if my life is hanging on by a mere thread. I love it
POV: You got blindseer so Insanity is a joke to you, so you can now enjoy this theme next to the half-transformed mudskipper
The Old Tales, nothing but much, the welcome of the ferryman isn't existant, drowning is the only solution.
this fits the vibe of underwater hell way to well and I fucking adore this masterpiece
I LOVE THIS SONG
I HEAR IT IN MY DREAMS
I DONT PLAY DEEPWOKEN BUT
NAKTI ILY
Give up your sanity and become one of us
this what you hear before stepping into feathers and having the entire depths after you
dude i love this ost so much
No song makes me more calm and gives me more anxiety at the same time
really great song for thinking about life
Very Tranquil indeed
i love this song so much, incredibly fitting for the depths
Nothing is more fitting than hearing this music while you're scouting around the depths looking for monsters to hunt
This gives me tingles
Death’s ballad. Unnerving serenity, perfect for the monument of the aquatic barren waste.
This is my favorite song in the entire deepwoken next to a symphony of strife
I cry everytime I hear this because of how many times I heard it with good builds
this games scariest moment is when you turn the corner and a corrupted owl instantly turns towards you
Hail to the Tides!
Honoured by the sea,
Journey to the fathoms in bravery!
Us you will guide,
Bravest of the brave!
Even should the ocean become your grave!
May you return,
Victory in hand,
May you once again trad on steady land!
Glory you'll learn,
Echo shall your name
In the books of history, crowned in fame!
Onward, to the darkest chasms!
May you never falter,
And may your way be led by Song!
Onward, to the deepest fathoms!
May the light protect you,
May you return triumphant, strong!
this has an indescribable feeling and it's epic, especially walking past every single possible depths mob trying to avoid them.
* Sitting in the depths *
This music pushed me forward from being feel down
Hearing this while on the dephs trying to kill any monster or running away from them gives you DETERMINATION
Maybe you should have MERCY
you cant if your ein combat
@@DarkestGames86 It's a good thing fleeing is an option
the deep is calling for me
this is the last thing i hear before dying to a crocodile with a purple aura and a gigantic crab when im at power 1 (im new to the game)
every time i get the urge to hum along to this song god damn this has to be my favorite of all time
My friend, power 17: Gets to depths and dies to an enforcer in the trial.
Me, power 16: Gets to depths and wins to a normal sharko in the trial.
