I had a mini theory that didn't have too much evidence that layer 2 was the old world and new kyrsa was the capital city, the structures in floor 1 looks similar to floor 2 too.

yeah, the whole layers of the depths gives off a made in abyss vibe by itself and naktigonis is amazing at creating the atmosphere with his talent in making music

i am by far a fan of the new version. if you're used to this version yes it'll sound off, but as someone experiencing both of them blind there is something so different about the new one. the vocals also hit harder, and I like the flute coming in earlier

In the overworld, the gremor woman talks about how unfair it is that the authority keeps getting away with what they do. Markor will soon become the new layer 1.
To add on to this, the city on Layer 2 is labelled "New Kyrsa" Which means that we'll most likely visit the Old Kyrsa on the Layer 3. We can theorize that the Gods punished the Old Kyrsans for their action by sending the "Kyrsan Horror", and that they tried making another city and the gods punished them again.

But the fool's intentions were clear, he wanted us to die, simple as that. As far as I know, his wish was granted, my friends, comrades could all be dead, without a single message that I could recieve. Well, that does not matter now. All I need to do is find a way out of this place.
