No rasicm but I never thought that it would be an Asian person who teaches me how to buy tickets in my own country, cuz today I missed my train because of something like this
@@jkch1228 When you are buying the train ticket, there will be a pop-up asking whether you have the half-fare card. If not, you can press "edit passengers", and indicate that you have the half-fare card. Once you do that, the app will charge you the half-fare price.
When you are on a train here in Switzerland, at some point in your trip a worker from the company is going to check your ticket. If you buy half fare ticket and do not have a fare pass (you HAVE to show them), you will receive a fine that could be from 100fr to 600fr and you MUST pay right on time.
@@priscabc83 Yup, I experienced the ticket checking on most of my train rides! Purchasing the half fare tickets doesn't need any proof but you will need to show it on the train.
Thanks for the info. Regarding about the Swiss Half fare card for tourist valid for month, the one you bought from Klook, can I use it to buy ticket using the SBB app? There is option for half fare travelcard, is that the same?
@@EatandTravelwithUs2014 Thanks for the reply. Also, I read about Interlaken visitor card/guest card? Were you given also that card when you went to Interlaken?
Hi Chris, it depends on how much you are travelling in the region. If you are taking the train frequently then it is definitely worth it. You can use the spreadsheet in this article to help you make your decision: www.eatandtravelwithus.com/2019/05/klook-swiss-half-fare-card/
Hi Hana Samsun! I hope you are not saying I look old! =) As mentioned in the video, I was using the Swiss Half Fare Card which is why I selected the half-fare option.
Thx for VDO this what I spend half day look on RUclips ❤

Hi jkch1228, yes you can, just select the half-fare option!
Eat and Travel With Us how to select the option?

Can you always buy half fare tickets without actually "showing" your half fare pass? When is the half fare pass checked?

But that’s a child half-fare that you chose . I think you are not considered as a child 🤔

Eat and Travel With Us yes of course you look old enough to have an adult half-fare not a child half-fare.
