  • 45 minutes of storm chasing insanity from the 2020 early season, including Dixie Alley chases and the April 22 outbreak in eastern Oklahoma. Beautiful storm structure, many errors resulting in missed tornadoes, but some decent forecasting like on the April 19 event. This also includes the gorilla hail event of April 10. Hours of storm chasing footage on the way as part of the 2020 recap series. Never stop chasing.

This also made me sad, that besides, Gizmo, you were alone. I thought of Josh, and missed, your good friend, and chasing buddy. May he RIP. I thought of Tim Samaris, Paul and OMGosh! You are such a big inspiration to me! You even replied to one of my comments back when you were in my town in South Dakota during a blizzard. You told me to Never Stop Chasing. And I haven't! I am still chasing my dream of becoming a storm chaser, of informing others on how to stay safe, and the warnings of bad weather approaching. @@jessicanichols1585 the more you understand how a tornado is formed, the less you get anxious or scared. I have been studying storms since I was 7 and I am 33 now. Convection, moisture, wind sheer, the wind speed and direction, from the surface to about 3,200 feet and etc. It really makes you less scared once you know things have to be perfect and even then, if you know what to look for then you can better prepare yourself.

    • @heatherstub

      I'm with you 100%! I'm totally blind and have lived through two tornadoes, and I still love watching these documentaries! I'll never forget that sound as long as I live.
      Now, to answer your question, I'm using text-to-speech technology that tells me what I'm typing and helps me read what's onscreen, but it has to be text. It's called JAWS, and it's now able to describe many of the emojis that you see. Some of them are down right funny! If you have a tough time typing, perhaps you could use the technology you've got with your computer or mobile phone. Apple's is called "Voiceover," and it's in the settings section. Once in Settings, look for Voiceover, and turn it on. Of course, Siri is a big help, too, but Voiceover and the "Voice Assist" technology is for people who have a hard time typing, too. Learning to type without it is better, because you only get better with practice. If you know what and where the home keys are, you've already done half the work. It's just a matter of memorization. As for me, touch screens are a major problem, because I twitch too much, so I'm learning how to use the Voice Assist features with my IPhone.
      If that was too much information, I'm sorry, but I love helping people learn how to use all their senses. Being totally blind all my life just gives me the incentive to learn more and grow more independent, and I love it.
      PS: If you use a Windows-based computer or smartphone, your text-to-speech technology is Narrator.

      @videoreal7072 3 года назад +2

      Volcanic activity has increased more in the last 2 years (Heavily in 6 months), then what appears to be the last 20, so it's worth noting that it is the inevitable that the weather will change globally without humans doing anything else, but it's crystal clear we are just adding to the natural process & problem that is already occurring within our planet. If people would just take 1 day out of their lives to study Earth's changes the last 6 months, they'd quickly learn that Earth is gearing up for some massive changes with time passing. People should be prepared for the worst, because following Earth's progress the last 6 months-2 years it's very visible we are in for a change & not just dealing with weather, but as a whole planet.

    Btw, for those who ask to whom he's talking, this was a live stream, and he was speaking to all those who were live with him. What I don't know is if he was talking to anyone else and using a headset.

    Sorry, but I have just one annoyance, and I really hope you can help us all out, especially those of us who listen with headphones or earbuds. Please get a mic with a windscreen, and please make sure it's in full stereo as well. I know you think it's not that bad or that big a deal, but for those who use their hearing as their primary sense, it really is. Plus, the monaural (and narrow audio) is very hard on both ears, and whenever the wind blows into the mic, it really affects both ears, causing them to ring or buzz. It also can distort or even cancel out other sounds. With the windscreen, we'll be much more able to hear everything more easily, and even whatever you say won't be overtaken by the air blowing into the mic. Even the new GoPro 8 Black finally sounds much better, because it's in stereo. Thank you so much for your help and attention to what you do, because I know you really care about it.
