Volcanic activity has increased more in the last 2 years (Heavily in 6 months), then what appears to be the last 20, so it's worth noting that it is the inevitable that the weather will change globally without humans doing anything else, but it's crystal clear we are just adding to the natural process & problem that is already occurring within our planet. If people would just take 1 day out of their lives to study Earth's changes the last 6 months, they'd quickly learn that Earth is gearing up for some massive changes with time passing. I'm with you 100%! I'm totally blind and have lived through two tornadoes, and I still love watching these documentaries! I'll never forget that sound as long as I live. Now, to answer your question, I'm using text-to-speech technology that tells me what I'm typing and helps me read what's onscreen, but it has to be text. It's called JAWS, and it's now able to describe many of the emojis that you see. Some of them are down right funny! If you have a tough time typing, perhaps you could use the technology you've got with your computer or mobile phone. Apple's is called "Voiceover," and it's in the settings section. Once in Settings, look for Voiceover, and turn it on. Of course, Siri is a big help, too, but Voiceover and the "Voice Assist" technology is for people who have a hard time typing, too. Learning to type without it is better, because you only get better with practice. If you know what and where the home keys are, you've already done half the work. It's just a matter of memorization. As for me, touch screens are a major problem, because I twitch too much, so I'm learning how to use the Voice Assist features with my IPhone. If that was too much information, I'm sorry, but I love helping people learn how to use all their senses. Being totally blind all my life just gives me the incentive to learn more and grow more independent, and I love it.
