Sorry about the lack of posts guys. Making videos is hard, and it's even more difficult while balancing real life stuff. Thank you all for supporting me even though I don't post too constantly, it seriously means so much. I promise when it's Summer there'll be alot more content.

@@Mufflin I think by "triple shine" he means doing shine and then jump canceling it because you can really easily do 3 really quick shines because the first two can be jump canceled by your jump and double jump. Same idea as an actual triple shine but without the speed required.

The heck did u just say about keyboard and ssf2? I'll hAve you know I graduated top of my class in the 2nd grade, and have a bronze rating in ssf2. I have over a whole 2 confirmed kills, so think again before slightly insulting keyboards.
I won' almost all local tournaments and I had gold rating in ssf2 after 6 ranked games lol and I'll say gamecube controller is better.

Custom controllers in a nutshell:
Dashdancing: Easy
Everything else: next to impossible
It's hard to emulate an analog stick with the keyboard lol
But it does make dash dancing so much easier

4 years later and now many top players are saying that keyboard is better than GCC, how times have changed.
This is a honestly a really good video and I can tell that a lot of time and thought went into everything (the dabbing Fox was hawt af). Also, nice shine spikes while using the keyboard. Those were pretty rad. I also really like how you sync certain actions in the video to the beat of the song that's playing. That feels and looks really cool.

There's a shitty selection of playable characters.

Also the anime characters have been there since the earliest build of the game so they're pretty much an original 12 right now
my face just BEAMED when I heard those opening measures to Reflected Laughter from Kirby Triple Deluxe. This was so beautifully edited. I love it to pieces; of the keyboard you probably inevitably broke trying to play like this :D
Keyboard on Melee isn't that bad. You just can't wavedash, and shorthopping & up tilt become very hard to do.
Generally speaking, Fox/Falco requires lots of dexterity to use, which the keyboard can't provide. It's better to use Sheik or Marth; they're easier to use.
My setup: Arrow keys for the D-Pad (for Taunting). WASD for movement, J for attack, K for special attack, I for Z (Grab), and O for L (Shield).
It helps a lot when you play SSF2, because I basically mapped my setup to be the same as my SSF2 setup.
Fun fact: In SSF2, by moving every button (J, K, I & O) 3 buttons to the left (F, G, T & Y), I've learned how to play with only one hand. My left hand (even though I'm right handed). I've beaten CPU lvl 9's as well as actual players doing this.
Yeah, the majority of my attacks are usually SHFFL'd aerials; that's why I mapped F to be my regular attack button. That being said, it becomes harder for me to attack people on my right side than it is on my left side. Also, shielding/grabbing becomes nearly nonexistent in my playstyle, and using up-b to recover is incredibly hard.
But when playing as Meta Knight, it doesn't really matter - SHFFL aerials are all you need to play against common players.
SSF2 CPU's are easy enough 1v1, but doing 2v1's is much harder, and 3v1's are nearly impossible. I say nearly, because I've successfully done 3v1's before.
Maybe I should upload a replay of me playing one-handed vs a cpu or two...

How did you set it up?
When you open up Dolphin, there's a bar with icons and words under the icons. Select Controllers, then click on one of the ports (1-4) and select Standard Controller. Then click Configure, and you'll get a whole bunch of things to map.
Mainly though, you just want the control stick, the A/B/X/Y buttons, the Z button, Start, and the L/R bumpers. C-Stick is not necessary.
+Ghostly Owns Fox is pretty easy once you get used to timings. I just never learned how to double shine consistent with Fox because he's a secondary. Moonwalk with C. Falcon on the other hand...

As someone who has played every PC game I have ever played but _Rivals of Aether_ (a game that doesn't exactly help my case with this) on a keyboard, including platformers like the NES _Mega Man_ hexalogy, I do believe that that is a rather not-great keyboard layout.
Here's my idea (WARNING: Not SSF2's layout):
*Control Stick:* WASD
*A:* E
*B:* Q
*C-Stick:* PL;"
*L:* Left Shift
*R:* Z
*Z:* Right Shift
*X:* Space
*Y:* B
*D-Pad:* 1243 (1 is up, 2 is left, 3 is right, 4 is down)
*Start/Pause:* 0
R8, h8, procre8. I don't see any reason why you'd need multiple shield or jump buttons or any D-Pad directions other than up (taunt) whilst in the middle of an actual match.
Is keyboard really that bad? I've used keyboard on SSF2 which isn't the same but is similar and it wasn't that bad.
Perpendicular parking is like making any other turn only a bit tighter and slower. To park in an open space on the right, position the car at least eight to nine feet from the rear of the vehicle that you'll turn toward and then signal. Of course, make sure no one is backing out of a nearby space. Okay, you're far enough away from the other cars to make a wide turn. Start turning when you can look down the near side of the vehicle that's parked in the space next to the open space, as you turn get your left bumper as close to the left as possible so that your right rear end clears the car on the right. Then, pull all the way to the curb straightening the wheel before you stop.
A useful way to determine how far you need to pull forward into a parking spot is to look out the side window and locate the seam of the pavement where the boundary line appears. Slowly pull up so that the seam appears just below your side view mirror. At this point the nose of your car will be right at the edge of the line. Although where precisely the line extends out from your mirror will vary just a bit based on the specific car you're driving, it does work on either side that is from the normal seated position; the line extending from either the left or right side view mirror will mark the exact location of the front of your vehicle.
It's worth noting that this technique can also help you determine precisely where your vehicle should come to rest when stopping at a stop sign or signal light. It works the same way. You just use the stop bar or crosswalk, or even the sidewalk if there are no roadway markings at the intersection to mark the spot.
You can use a similar technique to help determine the precise location of your vehicle when backing up. As you back into a parking space, look again for the seam that marks the rear boundary of the space. Then back up until that seam appears to bisect your rear window. This should bring you close, but not too close to the rear parking boundary. Although the exact position of the line on the rear window may vary a bit with each vehicle, this technique can keep you from backing into something.

normally I hate watching melee fox but using the keyboard is actually very entertaining.
Try to wobble with a keyboard.
mmmm.... I use tfgh for up down left right, left arrow for a button, down arrow for b button, up arrow for z button, x for l or r button. Very ergonomic specifically for melee, but you end up sacrificing a jump button, which is basically your up button, but the advantages of a keyboard aside from a joystick mean that you can simultaneously dictate a direction while jumping

I had this really bad stomach ache that left me holding the walls of the bathroom and groaning for 3 hours.
