Ok just to clear a few things up. I'm the big baby that cried when my son walked in. The whole 50th party was a surprise and the last thing I expected was to see him. Nobody gave anything away by talking I simply didn't hear the last thing he said on the video. It was my daughter who said turn around and hug your son and even then it didn't register that it was real. He had been stationed in Bahrain at that point for about 10 months and took leave for this party. He was a Navy MA2 (Master at Arms) (military Police). He knew to remove his cover but was just being cautious in case I turned around too soon. Thank you everyone for the kind words and the likes. To those that didn't oh well. We never posted this hoping it would go viral. We posted it so that the friends and family that were unable to attend could watch. But again thank you everyone for the kind words and God bless our Troops! Thank you to everyone who has, is or will be serving. God bless America!
This is so funny, my dad is a really tough and strict guy but he turns to mush when it comes to us! When my brother was on holiday for a few months he would check his email daily to see if there was anything haha. My mom told me when I was a teen my dad would wait up when I was working late because I was walking home. Things like that mean the world to me.
hope you know what is important in your life. and what is important to your dad life :) most of the time we take our father for granted..i really understand it when the day i became a father my self, the whole priority change the moment you saw your own child.

Simply Funny People Yeah I dont know if I could handle my son going in the army or navy. Knowing he may never come back would hurt me so bad. I dont even have kids at this time but I choke up when I watch videos like this.

So before go around saying that soldiers should stay in their own country, you better learn you facts. An just an fyi, My papa (Army) served in WWII, my grandpa (Air Force) served in Vietnam doing operation baby lift, my uncle Art (Air Force) served in Sandstorm and still served after 9/11, my dad served in the Army, my cousin Kyle serves in the National Army Guard who would love to meet people like yourself. Me I did Air Force JROTC and I am going into the Air Force. Soldiers don't kill civilians, they kill the one who is causing the issue and in this cause, it is the Taliban and now ISIS. So these soldiers let you live and this how you treat them, be glad the US hasn't nuked their asses yet.
Real men cry sir& we thank you for allowing to see a real dad who loves his son& is man enough to show it. It's clear that you raised him to be a great man. You don't know how motivating it is to see your video. For many people it means a whole lot. Wish the best for you and your family.

There is no such thing as a Navy Marine Corps. The Marine Corps is its own separate branch that happens to fall under the Department of the Navy.

granknight A Marine is a Marine. My father does not identify as a soldier serving in the Navy. He's a U.S Marine serving in the United States Marine Corps, and that is that. There is no such thing as a Navy Marine Corps. The Marine Corps is its own separate branch that happens to fall under the Department of the Navy.
