Great job! BTW, we recommend using the rwd e46 steering shaft. We also recommend the ebay header for k swapped s2000 and will also have to be modified.
I'll check out the e46 steering shaft at some point when the motor comes back out for a mild build. I aint worried about the header, I'll be buying yall's turbo kit in a couple of months
№1 Thank you for your service "Hooah!" №2 Got no advertisements cause of all the cussing -thanks! №3 Great f-ing build! Was gonna do an e30 k-swap but wanted an e36 the whole time. Now that I know there's support for what I really wanted im all in. Keep updating and be safe out there, my brother is 82nd out of Ft. Bragg.
Hell yeah man, thank you for your support. There is definitely more support for e30 k swaps, but enough for e36s that it's possible. I did my jumping time in 4-25 which became the 11th airborne at JBER, AK. I just left there last year
hey brotha. From personal experience if you can rubber isolate the rad mounts. the vibration will kill the rad and it will leak . I've seen it on other cars as well as my own. trust me it's woth figuring out.
Bro. You have damn near a mini GT car setup with thw way the engine sits closer to behind the front wheels. I think i know what i wanna do for the k series im taking out for replacement later.
F'kin beautiful. is the K24a2 NA enough to pull a 72 Jag xj6? I just wanna build a reliable, daily driver that I can take on long trips without braking the bank on gas.
You had to run an extra wire to starter and fuse box even with the wiring specialties harness? In the process of this swap now, can't get k24 engine to crank with BMW harness.
@@Channel-ru8pt they didn't come with the wiring specialties harness. It's just a cable from the positive in the engine bay to the fuse box and another to the starter. It's part of the oem harness, but not wiring specialties. Make sure you have some grounds from your engine to your chassis, that will also prevent it from crankjng
Lmao yeah I bought it right outside Austin. I can't remember what the dude said and I had intentions of pulling the motor for a built m50 I had anyway. It wasn't until after I got the motor out on the same day I bought it that I found out there was a hole in the block.
Yeah, it comes with the necessary hardware. They have a video on RUclips about the installation. I may have described it wrong, so I'd check that out. Super easy process and way worth it vs the headache of trying to source driveshaft components. That car is originally a 318is
I'm using the 5 speed. I think there's a different throwout bearing or clutch set up for the 6 speed, but I'm not too sure. Kpowerindustries should have it pretty clear on their website
Including buying the car, I'd say I'm at about 12-14k right now, but when I get back home, I've got a lot more that I want to do and rework a lot of things
I do not and won't be able to get them for about 3 more months. I think PMC makes an adjustable DSSR. I'm going go look into that. I have a lot to rework when I get back to the car
One of my dream engine swaps. This is a super cool build

Cool! Just got my 318 saloon donor. Good job getting f that together

I would assume so. I mean just thinking about it, a 2.4 built in the mid 200s makes as much as hp and torque as some v8s from the 70s
The k24 pulls 3600 pound Hondas with no issue, how much does the XJ weigh?
@@revvolutions About 3700 lb.
Looks Amazing. Cool car

i remember seeing this car for sale on marketplace with a blown headgasket maybe haha in san antonio or something

Step one: shitty brakets, noted!
Was that tech-53 adapter just a bolt in affair? Was this car a 318 or a 325i?

What sump are your using to clear the steering rack ect
Stock oil pan clears with the 625inc motor mounts and subframe spacers
I want to I swear
Hey bro are u using zf5 speed ot 6 speed?

Do you have final measurements for selector rod ? I’m running same chassis E36 318is.
