We had a leyland 272H on the farm, this had the 5th high gear blanked of so you could not use it as the other gears were rated higher, this was when they changed to the 3 x 3 gear range 9 forward 3 revers
I have a 272H here in Australia. The original owner had the dealer remove the stop so he could use 5th gear. it is very fast. the steering and breaks all these years on make it a bit of a handful on the road. It still is a very fine tractor in regular use on our farm.
Its leylands owen engine the only perkins engine used was a 3 cylinder engine, same as the MF 135, fitted in a blue leyland tractor was in a 1971 253 ,2wd 47HP. and the latter 1973 synchro 245.
Tractor Barn Productions Thanks for your reply. I did a little research last night, the 282 and 482 were the turbo. They have a lovely rasp to them. I watched your Ford one too, some lovely machines in that.
I got just one how well are these tractors? I'm used to john deere but from what I see it look fairly good just don't know much about them never seen one here it Utah
👍 sounds great

It's the 472 a 272 with fwd? I don't know much about Leyland but I used to drive a 272, fast on the road. Great film.
Basically yes, its the same as the 272 but with the Carraro front drive axle - and yes its still quick on the road!!!
