I am just loving your dollar store series. I think it is great that you show systems that you used with items that might be affordable for different people. You show higher end items and they have their advantages. Then you really make a great effort to show that those who might not be able to afford the higher end items can also organize really nicely as well. I have enjoyed you showing both. It can help more people that way. Being on a tight budget myself, I can really appreciate your ideas that are more relatable for my situation, yet still appreciate the other ones too. You come up with ideas that I might never think of, and it is great. Please never stop doing both kinds, I look forward to all of them.
I have noticed that your dollar store lazy susan idea has truly taken off well. Others are using it everywhere, and I grin when I know that it was your brainchild. I look forward to more ingenuous ideas like that. You are articulate, thoughtful, and pleasant to watch. Thank you for all of the ideas, your sharing, and all you do. =)

I think she just wanted to show that organization can cost very little, like money is not an excuse for not having an organized closet. I dont think she did this because she wanted to threw her nice stuff away, but just for us. And she changed her ENTIRE closet just to make a point and to help us, plus FOR FREE. How people can be negative about this?

She is returning all those stuff to the dollar store. Why would she keep them if she already has nicer things to organize her stuff? This video was to show us that there is no excuse to not be organized and that there are affordable items and many options if we use our imagination.

@Where is da Pizza: I'm sure the store is more than happy to let her use it for her videos, as long as she reccomends/mentions their store... So, yes. I'm sure she does not intend to use it all, herself. I don't think she lives in all the homes she makes her videoes from, either.

I am always so happy when you post a new video! I am immediately going to empty out my 'bag of duffle bags' and store my sweaters, swimsuits, etc in them! Brilliant! I also use dishpans for drawer liners; they are easy to wash :). I have been using ice cube trays for earrings since high school, and again, easy to wash. You are such a pleasure to watch! Can't wait to see what you do with your new space!

There are some really dense and ungrateful people out there, but that's nothing new. This woman is a professional organizer and she's trying to help people who can't afford to spend hundreds of $$ on organizing products. Plus, there is a positive message: you only need good will and some effort to be organized, lack of money is just an excuse. She didn't throw away her fancy organizing stuff, she clearly stated that she tried to recreate her system but on a tiny budget. How hard is that to comprehend?

I have ADD and all sorts of fun brain problems that make organisation really really difficult for me (and because I have a terrible memory, lack of organisation literally starts to ruin my live) and I've just been binge watching your videos and I LOVE them. And I love that you label everything because now I feel like less of a freak for needing to do that!! (If I can't see something I forget I own it. And then I'm liable to be like "oh hey I need a thing" [that I already have 10 of shoved in various drawers). Thank you so much for all your helpful videos!!!!

Another great video, as always. You always get so creative in your videos, for example using something that was meant for an office, but using it in a closet. Also, you are such a dedicated youtuber. As you said in the video, you are about to move; but you still made a video and included many new things. Thank you so much for always having great content for your viewers to watch and keep up with the amazing work. As if I haven't said this a million times, you have inspired millions and the world is so lucky to have someone like you. Keep on being the great person you are Alejandra!!!

Oh wow! I just redid my closet too and I made a video of it. I love the shoe bins. I also used those hooks (the ones you used for your necklaces). I used mine for my purses. I also used the black felt hangers. I love how sleek they look. I too had a defective air bag. Yes I sucked the air out and as I screwed on the blue cap, the air was coming out. Some others did work but a large one did not. Love your videos. I also love how you say "bye" at the end of your videos. You are a ray of sunshine!

I worked in a very large office for 23 years and I grabbed alot of envelope boxes and made them work for drawer dividers. Much cheaper and looks just as nice. That life is over for me, but I still use cardboard boxes, cut to size.

Great video as usual. How do you plan your shopping trip? All of the items you purchased to organize the drawers fit perfectly. Do you take diagrams with measurements with you to the store? Do you buy items, find what fits and take the rest back? I guess I'm asking how to best prepare for my shopping trip, if that makes sense. Thanks!

About your vacuumbag... After you sucked the air out and you put the lit on it, you need to screw/twist the the top too.

The closet looks great. However, some of your methods may not work on someone who is of bigger size. Plus size clothing doesn't fold so easily. Any suggestion for larger clothing?

    • @psychobunny32
      @psychobunny32 9 лет назад +4

rolling the clothes works. For out of season stuff, I use those big ziplock type bags that you put your vacuum cleaner to the valve and it sucks all the air out. You can store lots of things this way.

Great ideas and tips for organising. I have taken on the task of organising my own closet recently.
Oddly I "filled" my underwear in a pink lacy plastic magazine holder I found at Daiso and it has been working perfectly for the last three weeks. I can always find the print I want. :) It's super easy to fold and tuck in clean ones every laundry cycle too.
Oh and if you are afraid of knocking holes in walls, I've found the command adhesive hooks are amazing. They really do stick on strong and come off clean. :)

I adore those space bags from the dollar tree! Check the bag closely for any small slots from box cutters. I bought 12 bags and only only of them was apparently cut from box cutters at the store. I check the packing for any slots before you buy. Also I covered up the slit in my bag with masking tape and it held the air in just fine.

I think everything is beautifull in your closet, the way you organize things is lovely. But for my closet i'd preferre to file everything in the draws. I also preferre to hang my purses. I'm thinking that I should buy boxes with lid like yours to store my shoes - I must measure my shoes first in order to buy appropriate size of boxes. thank you for the video, it was very nice

I love how you Americans say a 'bathing suit' . . . that's always made me chuckle ! Like its this smart suit that you put on hahaa ! You would probably think our Uk way of saying it, is equally as funny ! We call it a cozzie ! Your swimming cozzie ! Its kind of a slang word for 'costume'.

This isn't from the dollar store, but if you can't afford built in drawers like that you can put a dresser in the closet or even a bookshelf, cubbies, or milk crates facing forward. You can also buy a double hang rod accessory if you only have a single closet rod. These things have helped me a ton living in rentals and not wanting to pay big $$ for closet organization.

I'm in love with all your organizing videos. I love organizing since I was a little girl. Can you show how you fold sweaters inside your bags? I'm taking that awesome idea rn ;)

Hi Alejandra! Thank you for these videos. You've inspired me to reorganize my house, one section at a time. I'm having issues with my clothing organization though. Most of your videos have been storing clothing on hangers and drawers. I actually have shelves for my clothing, kind of like cubicles. Do you have any tips on organizing clothes on shelves/cubes? I don't want to buy a whole new storage system. Thanks.
