This past weekend we were traveling from the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula to the western part. When we arrived at a couple of campus choices the tree canopy was so dense that Starlink would not connect. We need it for work. So, I said "There's no trees west of the Mississippi. Let's go!" 😂 so we drove 1200 miles in a out 30 hours to Eastern Montana. Lol
We stayed just overnight somewhere with a ton of flies once recently, and they got all in the camper. Allan killed them one by one by shooting them with rubber bands! Then little 19mo Sagan ran around flicking a rubber band for the next two weeks saying things like, "fly! die! got it! die!" 😝 😂
Oh my goodness! Aiden does the same thing 🤣 He kept beating things against every surface in the RV, and I finally realized it’s him trying to copy the “construction” I’d been doing in the RV. They are SO observant!
Well she said we would have been less likely to incur a fine, but there also wasn’t a dedicated drive way so we were impeding on the land. We risked it based on our friends having no issues and lots of FS people driving through, but opted to go to a clearly marked parking area.
In general, we try to be as respectful as possible to keep the lands open. We’ve seen way too much abuse and unfortunately it’s led to a lot of closures or restrictions on previously open lands.
Kyle's frolicking after X3 was THE BEST!!!!
Lol, we enjoyed that moment as well! It's been fun traveling with them and they add a few more characters and depth to the story!
Love this comment!!! I love to frolic ❤
Delightful, you guys! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Greg! Appreciate you and Papaw watching!

Also, that’s impressive Alan got them with a rubber band!
@@theaustinstravel Ha! That's funny! They copy everything and OMG once the words really get started they repeat EVERYTHING 😱😂
I dealt with flymageddon myself. Last year in the desert. I’ll never arrive there again in November. By mid-dec they were gone.
Flymageddoms are no joke! I wouldn’t have expected that in the desert though - good thing we won’t be arriving until after Xmas!
Tell us about your favorite story of a "camping trip gone wrong"! (Even if it was a bit self-inflicted like ours)
So if you would have moved 300 feet from the road you could have stayed at the first site?

Feed the flies. Piles of horse/ dog turds or old dog food close to camp will draw them there and away from you.
That actually sounds like an interesting tactic - that’s worked for you? It’s worth a shot for sure!
Adin's hair is getting long!
Yes it is! He’ll look all grown up at next years Bash! It’s great to see how Lincoln can is growing up in your videos too!
