Thank you. Very informative and helpful. Yes, many of those issues pop up regularly due to those walking and applying material. Sanding with fine grind, clean then Eurothane coat. (Quick drying epoxy, sharpies, spray paint for depressions)
Hello friends, greetings from Venezuela. I have a question, yesterday I finished applying epoxy resin to a concrete counter, but today about 2 bubbles appeared on one main edge. Should I sand to eliminate those bubbles and very delicately and subtly inside the hole that will remain, I apply epoxy resin again??? It would be perfect. Or should I apply a full coat to the countertop? Please help...thanks in advance..
what is the grit that you put on your big machine to sand the epoxy ? you only do 220 ? or you do like 2 passs with 220 then after this maybe 400 ? you need to be sure that all swirl are covered with the urethane you put on top righht so what is the ''Safe''' spot on the grit you use ? thannk you
Hello it’s been a year since I used your product to do my kitchen counter. I need to know how to fix these. Little dried up holes in the epoxy and a burnt spot, then small chips on the edges of counter. How do I fix these problems. Thanks 😊
NO, if you have soft and sticky spots there is a chance the epoxy was not mixed all the way and could never get hard, so you would have to remove it and recoat!
What is the process to fix the WB Polyurethene topcoat if it dried with some streaks and blotches? Just got done with a floor kit and used a gloss WB with grit additive. Its a little cloudy and we want to give it that shine as the final result!
It would need sanded and re-applied. If it's cloudy it was applied too thick. The grit additive will dull the sheen a bit but it does add extra scratch resistance.
I thought so. Could you give me a few tips on the sanding method? Tips to reapply it? How long does the Topcoat last in the bucket and could I add more water too it after its been mixed and sits? Really appreciate the quick repsonse here! @@LeggariProducts
If I sand my metallic coat can I ad a clear coat of epoxy for top coat dose it come shiny I have small bubbles everywhere that’s why I want to sand the floor but I want shiny finish
Yes! As you can see in this video 👉 ruclips.net/video/wz7THPQuxhA/видео.html, we sand out the floor's imperfections as well before applying any topcoat 👍 You can check out our floor kits here leggari.com/order-flooring/#metallic-epoxy-kits and feel free to contact our customer service with any questions concerning our products. 1-844-LEGGARI (534-4274) customerservice@leggari.com
So you can't just do the spots? You have to do the entire floor or area? We had just a couple spots......bug and just weird small spots. Can I just sand those small spots and use the JB weld epoxy kit with the same resin powder?

Our cat went on our floor while it was being worked on ( before applying the sealer ) he said he had to redo the whole floor ?? We didn’t want thta sixne it had already taken over 4 days to fe tour floor done . Are you telling me he could have fix just that little spot where the 4 paw prints were left ?
I do get this spots when i do coats , problem is it gets in second or third coat which should be my final coat.. what should i do on such situation without doing another coat.. i tried sanding those out with 180 but it didn't get off and yes there is also a fear of wood getting exposed so i dont want to sand that hard
Fill the 20 or so bubbles with epoxy that has been mixed with a metallic, the use a syringe or something to pour into those pin holes. Shouldnprobsbly open the holes with. A razor to get epoxy well into them. Go above the surfsce, then after its cured sand, Then use top coat again. Not fu . Its a lo g process. Seams easier with other companies simy using g the torch to prevent bubbles in the first place
I just got my epoxy floor done. The company could have been better. I came to her to confirm if those chucks and pieces were typical. It seems like they are when you don't sand. So now, I have to go behind them and sand for myself. I should have followed my first instinct and done it myself. Plus, I don't want to damage it. What about hairs? Would sanding help with that? Thanks guys!
If there hairs and other minor imperfections in the floor we recommend lightly sanding them sown and then you can reapply your topcoat. This process might differ when using another company's products but this is how we address imperfections like the video shows💯💯
@leggari products Is it possible to add more veins to a white epoxy metallic floor after the fact? My wife is not happy at all with the minimum veins our floor guy put in. I can send you photos.
Sand 80- 120 grit repour the entire flour add desired veins benifit is now you can have under tones from the prior job, as well as your new veins and it wont take any where near as much resin
You guys seem like cool folks... cool enough to provide pointers to a newbie using cheap Amazon product with zero customer support? TBD. I finished this floor, there was alotta particulates I dragged in at the threshold. It's a small job (100 sq ft). Can I palm sand at 120 grit the floor before I drop the clear? See I can't add the pic... picture a impressive multi metal river floor with the back end glass smooth perfection, the front end (doorway) not so much and it also looks like the temp differential (it got stupid cold for Texas couple days into the cure) made some weird lizard skin cure marks. So sand, sweep, mop and vacuum drop the clear and it all comes back to life? Thanks in advance for the vid even if ya can't prov8de unpaid advice.
Holy shit. I must be a natural. I've only poured a few sample pieces all came out perfect but my first time doing it on a project, a coffee table and I got uneven edges and over sanded and got some of the wood showing through the epoxy and just tried hitting those spots with the sharpie just like dude did it, little dabs and rub it in then did a clear coat with some color accents and those spots blended in perfect . I learned the hard way no matter how many perfect pours you do you can't get cocky and push things, my problem is I keep messing with the design. Cause every time I look at it I see something new that could look better or I question myself if the smallest details that Noone would ever notice but I do cause I'm examining my work so sometimes I push the working time to the last possible work time minutes.j guess my luck ran out.. trust your work and don't second guess yourself is the lesson I learned

🔥🔥👍
Would the repairs look the same with high gloss top coat?
Would you guys do an example that compares the matte and glossy topcoats side by side to show how each changes the look of the floors?
Great idea!

We recommend 220 grit or finer sanding screen. You can always do multiple passes if it's not quite to your liking.
I have a question do yall experince aid pockets

Burn marks and chipped edges? How well were these issues rectified? Was the epoxy as hard, solid as you expected?
Could you do the same thing if you have some spots that are cured all the way and some spots that are not?
NO, if you have soft and sticky spots there is a chance the epoxy was not mixed all the way and could never get hard, so you would have to remove it and recoat!
Years back when i started playing with epoxy , i used to search for this for repair ... Now i see this and laugh it is such a small thing...
Thank goodness it's usually an easy fix👏🏼
I would like to use this floor kit on a kitchen counter top. Is this possible? What other things do I need to buy?
Yes, of course Email customerservice@leggari.com They will be able to help you order this kit for your countertop!
I think the marble look looks alot better and definately easier to do with the silly string type spray and epoxy over top of it, and it's not messy

How long after the epoxy can you start sanding?
Next normally but depends on factors like temperature .. Humidity.. Brand.. Sometimes it is still sticky next day

Top coats are clear so cant use colors
And also clear repair/filling don't match on sanding ..😅
