    SOLIDWORKS ELECTRICAL is very hard to find for PRACTICE as a student.Can you please give me a suggestion of how I could get it please?

      As a student, you can ask your school/college/university to help you get what is called an education or "EDU" license.

    Don't add spec sheets to your project you will look like a noob.
    Spec sheets should be added/linked in the parts database then forvermore anyone using that part in any project can find a link to the spec sheet.
    MFG Part Properties > General > Data Sheet
    Save the sheets in a common network folder created specifically for spec sheets.
    If you need to add a work instruction or some other config document that is specific to the project then that would be fine.

      Yes. You are correct in that you should be putting spec sheets directly into each part. However, this is a training video and it's simply showing the fact that you can embed documents such as spec sheets into the project. And from personal experience and as someone who travels for work quite a bit, embedding a reference document or spec sheet into the document tree doesn't make you a noob - it allows you to share the information 24/7 with your team and keep important documents right at your fingertips - so that you don't have to go search all over the internet or internal servers to find the appropriate information.

    Hi, great video. just wondering if there is anyway for us to change the coordinate generated from the origin - destination arrows?

    • @SOLIDWORKSElectrical
      @SOLIDWORKSElectrical  3 месяца назад +1

      In the project configuration, you can change the formula for what information you want to display with the OD arrows. i.e. row + column, or sheet + column, or to from component + terminal, etc.

    how to save that connector you made in this video in liberary

    • @SOLIDWORKSElectrical
      @SOLIDWORKSElectrical  10 месяцев назад

      You can use the "Routing Library Manager" (RLM).
      Follow the steps and at the end it will ask you if you want to add the part/component to your design library - at which point you can reuse that component whenever needed.

    how to add wire of two colours like red /blue

    • @SOLIDWORKSElectrical
      @SOLIDWORKSElectrical  10 месяцев назад

      For a wire style, you can add the colors in the properties of that particular wire style. For a cable, you can define both the jacket color and the core colors within each cable's properties.

      @@user-st9jq8sl3x if you're asking for the 3D side to display the stripes on a routed wire - it does not do that. Personally, I wouldn't want it to do that because it would hog resources from your computer just to make it look pretty.... Therefore, it only uses the primary color. On the 2D side, you need to edit the wire style's color. Inside the color options, you can choose from a large list of colors and can also include secondary and tertiary colors. Once selected, any reports, custom wire numbering, or wire labels can display this information.

      No. Not yet. When I get some time, I'll try and create a video on that topic.
