Oh man, that fact about how they had to renovate 1,800 rooms that no one had ever stayed in! I am going to visit in a couple of weeks and I’ll have to check this place out. It’s hilarious to me that a room here is around $300 while Durango wants $500+.
Durango only has 200 rooms. Fontainebleau has 3,000+.
It makes sense.

So many reviews of this property miss serious opportunities to showcase not only the relationship between the Vegas property and the Miami property, but also the rich history that is the brand, Fontainebleau. Bravo Dale and Paula you did it! Cheers to you both.

Great story telling with the screen captures of receipts. Paula’s subtle reviews about noise, plating size and ambiance spoke volumes. It shows one is paying for looking at / from the real estate. I’d still swing by to see the Citroen.
Thank you for the brief history of the Fontainebleau. My dad loves older Vegas and when I tried telling him about the new resort and where it was located, he couldn’t visualize it. Until I told him it’s where the El Rancho used to be, he said, “Oh! Across from Circus Circus!” 😊

Having visited the Fontainebleau in Miami, the Las Vegas version is in a class by itself!
This place is awesome. So elegant yet modern simultaneously. They really did an outstanding job and so did you guys showcasing it.
Paula, you made me want to jump into that bowl of pasta at Motherwolf. It’s my absolute favorite dish and you’re right, Sinatra’s dish is very similar. I will definitely try it when I’m there.❤

Interesting that the designers made most of the iconic, Miami-syle curves on the inside. Not since Bellagio has there been a Vegas hotel at this high taste level You both really nailed this introductory review!! Ps loved the vintage Citroën too!

The room looks pretty decent, but that is a huge price. AWESOME VIEW! The pools look nice. The casino floor looks very nice. I like curvature! 😅 Beautiful chandelier and bar. Woodinville Bourbon, nice touch. Fever Tree makes great stuff. I love their Ginger Beer, and I will use it to make a Kentucky Mule. I guess the next best thing to bringing Dale with you, is bringing Dale's Hat! I cannot wait to check this place out. I doubt I'll ever be able to afford staying there, but it does look like a tremendous looking place. Ox tail ragu....nice. Very cool time-lapse. Happy New Year!

It reminds me of a really oppulant Marriott or Hilton it’s pretty but it doesn’t blow me away. Just another expensive hotel on the strip. When I think Vegas I think CASINO then gorgeous resort hotel with awesome pools.

Happy New Year, Paula and Dale! My first thought on Fontainebleau is that it was more of a "soft opening" than a Grand Opening. As you mentioned, many of the restaurants and retail are not open yet, and they are clearly still working out some kinks. Two of the restaurants that I visited were missing ingredients and could not prepare certain items from their menu that I wanted to order. Also, from my experience, there seems to be some sort of traffic flow issues in the parking garage that emerges periodically. This is just a guess on my part, but I think the traffic heading out to Elvis Presley sometimes gets backed up, thus blocking up the entire parking garage. When I got stuck trying to leave, it took me 25 minutes to get from the fourth floor down to the first floor. But as soon as the traffic split off heading to Elvis Presley one way and toward Las Vegas Strip the other way, the traffic cleared up immediately in the Las Vegas Blvd direction, and I was promptly able to get onto the Strip. Undeniably, the property looks very nice. So far, it feels a bit too sterile for my liking. I am very interested to see the place develop its own personality, especially after all of the retail fills out, live shows start coming in, and more conventioneer business is captured. One other thought is that I feel the pool deck, while looking wonderful, might be too small considering the number of rooms at Fontainebleau. Once pool season begins, I am interested in checking it out, but I am worried that there simply isn't enough pool space or lounge chairs for a resort with over 3,600 rooms.
See, now this is the type of real review I needed. Lol .

Nice vlog ( as usual), and the hotel/casino/food hall are all visually stunning. I'll check out the casino, but can't imagine staying in the hotel for 1 reason: I detest "open" showers!! So many new & remodeled hotels are using them that its driving me to vacation in other cities. Floors flood - falls likely! Who needs the broken bones?? 🤪😱🤬

I know things have gotten more expensive, but the average person seems to be getting priced out of vegas.
Honestly, that’s not true. All it takes is some research, in the summer months and mid-December it’s easy to find reasonable room rates, even with those terrible resort fees. Sign up for players club cards, as even at the lowest level you will get offers for free room nights. Restaurant prices have gone up the most, but most of my meals are at breakfast places and cheaper places like Greenberg’s Deli, Crack Shack, or multiple places in Planet Hollywood. I find Las Vegas, excluding gambling, is a far cheaper vacation spot compared to cities like Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Boston, Honolulu or Denver.
There are plenty of cheaper places to stay, they just aren’t going to be the newest place with some of the nicest rooms on the strip
