Yes! I'm not someone who has cold hands all the time, but in the winter months I take some hot hands with me everytime I walk my dog, shovel, anything outdoors, lol. I actually bought a big pack of them on Amazon that is like the box you'd see in a store selling singles, hahaha. So she could definitely get a good supply of them pretty easily, and each one lasts quite awhile! I even put them in the top of my slippers for my toes when I come back inside, and they're still going for at least a couple hours afterwards.
@@nhnnj I mean she's Canadian, from what I've seen of other fellow Canadian youtubers it being hot outside is a very small amount of time. I wouldn't be surprised if you could find them year round in Canada because of that.
okay this has sold it to me. I wasn't that interested in heat-changing polish but I need proof that I'm not just making up that my feet are always cold haha
😂 maybe i need this as a gauge! I never wear sock and it's always the people around me who notice my toes are blue - i never feel it! Then again, if i dont notice my toes changing colour, maybe i wouldnt notice my toe nail polish changing colour either
I relate to having a low body temperature. When temperature checks were common during COVID I often had people telling me to see a doctor because my usual temperature is around 34.5 Celsius which is below the threshold for hypothermia according to the NHS. My doctor has told me it’s okay if that’s my normal: some people just have a different level of normal operating conditions.
@@ricequin most doctors will tell you you're fine if you're not dying but if you're that cold it sounds like an underlying condition. Obviously it's pointless to figure out what it is but it's absolutely not normal
@@klasketp7234 Some of us are just plain cold. My hands are ice buckets from October to March. I got tested for everything soo many times. Iron, thyroid, the works. Everything comes back clear. Once it gets below a certain temperature, I'll just have cold hands and feet. Socks, hot drinks, sweaters, blankets etc. all help to an extend but as with Cristine, only so much.
I'm a WARM hand girlie and my nails are about Cristina's length, maybe a smidge shorter, and they are FULL warm color 90% of the time, especially now in summer.
I guess that'd be an issue when she wanted this particular effect though? Since her nails are long she gets an automatic "French tip" due to the contrast between the body temperature and the cold tip. Ben doesn't have long enough nails to show off that effect.
No I feel that. The one day it wasn't an absolutely hellish temp outside, my nails were in the cold state no matter how many times I tried to warm them. It was frightening
I have to opposite problem, my hands are too hot! I tried a temperature formula from another brand. And at the time my nails were pretty long, but I could barely see the color shifting effect cause my warmth transferred almost all the way to the tip of my nail 😭
I like to say I'm either a reptile or a vampire because my hands can be like ice. Just no body heat or circulation And that's why I love blankets and a warm drink in my cold room (I like the cold)
Ha! I am also cold all the time so the new collection is basically always in cold state on me unless I sit in direct sun! What's super fun is discovering random fingers that are warmer than others. 😂
Minnesotan here, don't you live in Canada? Aren't there exothermic reacting handwarmers? Personally, I prefer the ones I can boil to the chemical reaction to have the hyper-saturated solution "reset." Minnesota winters can be pretty cold, and having hand warmers for shoveling or scraping a car free of ice and snow is lovely! It's in the top 5 reasons to wear mittens over gloves--a hand warmer packet can fit!
Omg I feel you Cristine, my hands get cold all the time. Whenever i enter an air conditioned room, my hands get so cold to the point that I can't move my fingers.

I have something called Raynauds, I hardly get blood flow to my fingers, toes, and nose specifically, it's to the point I can only use gel polish because regular polish won't dry on me. I've tried a few dumb things before accepting it just won't dry
Wait so is this your new channel? You've been back and I haven't known this whole time?! 😩😭 I knew about your podcast, but I didn't know about THIS CHANNEL!
I want to love this collection so badly, but I can't paint it on my nails bc it's so disorienting when the polish on the brush is a different color than the polish I'm painting on my nails. I was SO confused & the application was terrible. 😢 this is my first set of thermals bc they never appealed to me. I guess this just isn't the formula for me.
Its okay, if im sitting in my room, my body temp is too low to change the color too But if im at work, im too hot for even the ends to be the cool color 😭 (I bought ever color the day it dropped lol, and i look back like a week later and theyre all gone lol)
Lol 😂 For some reason I haven’t seen one of your videos for ages. I will have to rectify that (oh hang on - I just did 🤦♀️🤷♀️ 🤪) as you’re still awesome & funny. Please don’t burn yourself or your house to swatch though 🩵💕
if that tea was caffeinated it might have been doing the opposite of helping haha 😂 caffeine constricts the small blood vessels of your extemeties, making them even colder!
I totally feel that story. I've tried temperature differential several things and if it's supposed to heat up because of my bodyworms we're not going to get that effect We have to go into the sun
A heat pack or microwavable wheat bag would have been suffice 😂 I once placed my hand on a hot plate on our electric stove when I was 8 years old. The palm of my hand stuck to the hot plate and stung so badly! And the smell 🤢 i needed an operation and was left with a large scar until I was in my late teens. Oh, the things we do just because we can 😅
I did my moms gel nails for the first time a week ago and she picked a color changing polish. I kept telling her I could take it off and re do another color because her nails were all one color. I thought it was that her nails were too short to properly show the difference but she texted me a photo of her out the next day and it looked great! She also has body temp issues from thyroid problems and so when she is sitting, her nails go back to the 1 color lol.
i don't know if it's possible but what if you made an instant french tip polish with this concept? that is, a white polish that turns somewhat pink/nude when warm?
This reminds me of the time I had a tick and didnt have a lighter to burn it off so I boiled water and dipped a spoon into the boiling water and used the spoon/water to burn the tick off
It just hit me the other day, but the three shimmer thermals look like the three OG nail files! That's a crazy callback, but I have no idea if they made that on purpose
Fun fact! Many women's hands can be up to 3°C lower than the average! This is also due to most women having a slightly lower core temperature as well. Why? Humans, man.
I really didn’t get it, and then I got some Holo Taco. Literally the alien one from the space collection is the prettiest, most flattering polish I’ve ever worn. I’ve NEVER seen a color like that! I get it aint for everyone, but I love how she plays with color and texture so much
Do u have Raynaud's lol , I have the same problem and also having a chronic illness and anxiety makes my Raynaud's worse so living in WV during a 90 degree draught my hands still end up going cold every so often
Pssst - just get a microwaveable silicon bead heating pad, warm that & hold prior to filming. GTG 😁 It’s interesting you stay so slim when your natural core temp is obviously low though, as (as you no doubt know) it’s your metabolism that creates heat. Although in your fingers it’s also related to capillary dilation/constriction/supply 🤔
Hi from Argentina!! I have a question that got nothing to do with this video 😬 i would like to know if you can remember the name of every polish you make🤪😮💨
Eurgh mine are always the hot swatch and even running it under cold water doesn’t change it and when it does manage to switch it over it turns back the SECOND I take it away from the water
well, if that's not getting too hot especially with the towel and if there won't be a fire risk, why not.. those plates are usually not THAT strong, so I think it's a very cool idea.. hot.. idea.. 😅😊
As someone who always have boiling hands, before eating chocolate, I will simply wash my hands in cold water, so I can hold it without it melting... Maybe next time, just wash your hands in warm water 😅
Miss ma’am. You can also use Hot Hands hand warmers, no risk of causing burns to your hands.
