Kind of sucks with Phantasm that for every one thing we figure out about the story as a whole, it poses 3 more questions lol. Wish they'd make one last one to wrap up the entire saga and bring all questions of it to an answer. Obviously Angus is no longer with us, rest his soul, but they could do like they did with Brandon Lee in the crow or Paul Walker in the fast and the furious. I even have an idea for funding for the project but I'm quite sure it would never go anywhere unfortunately. There's just still so much that could be explained. There's easily enough open ends to make at least one last sequel. Hell, a prequel even would be awesome
I have a very very depressed day. And than came you, and you saved the day! If you play, I have to smileing! You are the only one, who can make me smile. Thank you! You are the best! A nobody from Hungary! 🤗🖤🤘🇭🇺
IKR, it baffles me how few heard of the Phantasm Universe. Even horror "fans" told me they are unaware of it. SMH. They deserve a lot more recognition because the series is such a cool escape from the "real" world we live in.
Sweet! That earworm has been stuck in my head for.....crap, 40 YEARS?!?! Great job not overlooking the background parts like others have, they really add to the creep factor (and seventies-ness) of the score. Totally watching part 1 tonight (we have all 5, kind of a Halloween tradition). Now I shall pump this through 650 watts while The Tall Man watches from his framed poster in the living room (RIP Angus Scrimm).
@@randomguy2518 mine are 9 and 5, have to wait a bit longer. But I've had the framed poster up in the living room for years, and now Erock's cover. They're curious.....
I'm hoping he likes em . He digs Friday the 13th, loves the Mad Max series, finally watched Legend with him,he was flabbergasted by the make-up in that one, especially after seeing Tim Curry with out it
@@randomguy2518 Have you seen the Dark Crystal prequel series on Netflix? The Skeksis are somewhat terrifying, the voice acting and puppetry astounding, and perhaps a good gateway to darker material depending on your kids' ages. If you haven't, DON'T see the original film first!
Met director Don Coscarelli at a Drafthouse screening, and he was super nice to everyone. You could tell he's just a good guy. I've heard the same about Angus Scrimm.
I know that Angus Scrimm is gone, but if there ever was a Phantasm VI, this would be an amazing theme for the movie, and a memorial song for Angus Scrimm.
I was looking for another version of God Rest He Merry Gentlemen and stumbled upon you guys. Gotta say I absolutely loved it. I also would have loved to see Simon's face from America's Got Talent if you held that high note for so long in from of everyone.
Eric, this is probably the one track of yours that I revisit the most. Thank you so much for the wonderful rendition of a classic theme! You match the tone so well of the original track while still enhancing it with metallic atmosphere. I hope that this will be a great year for you!
Why has this channel become less popular in the last years? Nearly all the older videos have 1 million+ views but the newer ones rarely hit the 100.000 mark. It’s a shame, because this guy rocks as hard as always
Corny to some, but oh man this franchise has an intriguing lore that I love so much. Thank you for making this 331Erock! , Sorry I came late to the vid.
"These Boots Were Made Walking" meets metal? That would be interesting, since there is no good metal cover of this song (except cover by Megadeth). This song could be good but it need to be really good arranged to be really powerful.
This was great. I wonder if Freddy Meets Metal is coming? I would also love to see another team up for Man Behind The Mask, maybe Johnathan Young or (his name escapes me) Twenty Second Songs guy?
Black suit spider-man theme meets metal there's already a couple vidoes on youtube with that being played on the gutiar figured chances are you'd put out the best one 1 video is a minute and a half the other is 2 and a half minutes so i hope to see a longer version sometime keep up the good work i like the music in alot of your videos
"The ballad of Angus Scrimm" would be a good title for this.
Rest In Peace Angus
This is what really should have been played for him in the end credits in memory of him

Angus Scrimm was actually a kind, humble man. One of the sweetest, wisest people you would want to meet. He's missed.-

Awesome job Eric, Phantasm is my favorite horror series ever and most folks aren't even familiar with the films smh 😖 lol

@@FarmersAreDummies I just rewatched the entire series just last week.

My 5 disc set is on it's way, can't wait to for my kid to see them, so far he likes all the movies i grew up on, i'm sure he'll love this series

I like that he smiles when he plays.
One of my all-time favorite horror flicks. 👍🏼
Amazon has all 5 in a set for $12.99 USD

I can’t wait for this to be put on Spotify. Eric did such a wonderful job on this track and it sounds like a true love letter to the movie
This is one of my favorite horror themes and you did it absolute justice. Well done!
every time I watch one of these videos the faith in my guitar playing gets lower... and lower... and lower
One of the more unique themes from horror films.
"You played a good (tune) boy! But the (tune) is finished...."
\m/
Was watching Phantasm when this was uploaded, how ironic
I was notified earlier today that my boxed set of all 5 Phantasms was shipped out..
random guy That was the exact copy I watched, I didnt even know they had one in 2016 until I got it
Dan Tallsten Funny how you have nothing to live for but correcting irrelevant mistakes. Maybe get a hobby to fill that void in your life
Met director Don Coscarelli at a Drafthouse screening, and he was super nice to everyone. You could tell he's just a good guy.
I've heard the same about Angus Scrimm.
One of the best movies! Covered by the best musician!
You're GREAT, Erock!
Greetings from Italy!

Congrats Eric!! Awesome playing
I know why you've always got a smile on your face. You're so dann good on guitar. Keep rockin' brother.
Nice! Your song makes me to watch the movie again.😉👍
Got me screaming boy when I saw this in my feed.
I loved this movie after listening the “left hand path” of Entombed
total Bodom vibes for those last 3 minutes forsure! Sick as always dude
The phantasm theme was the first thing I ever learned on guitar back in 2010.. one of my favorite horror movie franchises of all time
No views? No comments? What's this? :o
Awesome job, as usual! :D
That means you're early boiii
@@DavidNwokoye Of that I am aware. Just not used to it :p
To be honest I was kinda expecting a cover of Left Hand Path by Entombed but BOY this was even better 🤘
I like this. It’s got more of a power metal feel than the Entombed cover, but still very good
Great guitarist who always entertains me with his musical interpretations. 👍✌🤘💪😎
I can’t wait for warmer weather so I can roll the windows in my hearse down and blare this.
I'm proud of talented and adorable part of youtube who have diamonds like this :)

It's because the older videos have had years and years to collect views, and the newer ones not as much time yet. 👍✨
Awesome video. Now I'm gonna have to watch the movies again.
What a great Choice! Love how your mind is wired! Nice flow ace :)
The only scary movie that had me looking under my bed for weeks!
Woahhh, another erock cover, your great .
always flawless mate, but miss your time with ESP guitars.

Sooo stupid good!! Love you dude!!
Whenever I play a Halfling Warlock in D&D, he's basically re-skinned as one of the Tall Man's Jawas in the adventuring party.
Totally awesome!! thank you, ur the best! \m/
It sounds like the soundtrack from Red Dead Redemption 2 when you go in the Cemetery
