Which tour did you think they sounded the best? I thought the Bad Animals 87-88 tour was the best because they used more distortion and sounded as heavy as their early music is. But '85-86 and the Brigade Tour I didn't think they sounded that good -- way too bright (not much bass) and poppy.

Well they were actually a co-ed band like Fleetwood Mac, but Ann and Nancy got all the attention. They were a democratic band of six equals in the 70s, then in the 80s it was Ann, Nancy, and Howard Leese as the leaders/owners and two hired hands. Then after Howard sold his share it was Ann, Nancy, and backup musicians. They actually had a great band family in the 2000s, and 2010s until Ann's jerk of a husband assaulted Nancy's kids. That ended Heart for all practical purposes, and now it's Ann, Nancy, and a bunch of random session musicians.
The funny thing to me is those three huge 80s/early 90s albums got better with each one, but the choice of singles got worse. Brigade was the best and heaviest of those albums but Capitol was trying to milk all the power ballads so the four singles were all power ballads that made Heart sound whiny.
the sisters are so beautiful.. no matter their age or skill level which BTW, was incredible our cat, Lynxsy, was hugged by Ann. I know she would love Lynx!
When I was 11 I played “guitar hero III” and always love “Barracuda”, then started to listen a kind of rock music during 2019, and remember that song, I started to listen that song again, and the whole album “Little Queen” and then I fell in love with sisters Wilson... They are the greatest
Just doesnt get any better than this! Legends! :) Glad Ann and Nancy are still performing...hey, did any guy growing up in the 80s like me NOT have a crush on Nancy? Or both?
And even today, in The Jetson's 2020, radio stations won't play women's music back to back. Years ago, can't remember who it was, a woman rocker was interviewed and asked "why was it so hard to find a record label back then?" And she said it wasn't hard if you were men and she was told more than once the label already had their "J" lady (meaning Judy C, Joni M, or Joan B) and they didn't need any more. Thank God for Heart. ♥️
I've heard this was a difficult era for the band. Pressures and over-production made them question their direction. I'm going to say from the selfish perspective that this era was their best. Ann's vocal here, the arrangement, the dual guitar harmony leads, the playful nature of the lyric, is simply what Heart stands for to so many. Awesome irreplaceable musical magic that is attained by so few.
They had the dual harmony guitar solos as far back as Crazy On You. This era was a direct result of that first incarnation of Heart burning out and the music landscape changing. Alot of Heart originalists don't care for this era, but without it Heart would have ceased to exist and probably wouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. I like a lot of the material from this era, but wish Capitol Records hadn't started releasing only power ballads with the next couple of albums. They had a lot of good heavy songs but Capitol wouldn't even send them to AOR radio until Brigade. The title cut from Bad Animals is one of the best tunes they ever did in any incarnation and no one really got to hear it. It would have been massive with AOR airplay and been a nice compliment to the pop crap like "Alone".
The guitar duel on the stairs in the Bradbury building is honestly among my favorite music video moments ever! It is joyful, sexy, and full of a mutual respect that I don't know if most rock bands with two guitarist tend to have.
I'm 50 now but these women were and still are my first crush. I fell in love with Ann and I'm still in love with Ann. She is in my opinion the greatest female vocalist of the last century. Steve Perry male vocals, Ann Wilson female vocals. End of discussion.
Love this band & it doesn't hurt when the 2 front people are gorgeous sisters that just so happen 2 be in one of the Biggest bands in the world...met them personally in a local bar in Seattle and watched the Jam through the glass windows, they came outside and partied with the younger crowd...that was 1977...What can I say....WOWWW

Heart is definitely one the things that made the 80's rock.
remember an England-trip in 1990 with a mixtape on my Sony-Walkman on the ferry from Belgium to Dover, and the full album was on 'cause every song of the '85- Heart- album is awesome. Greetings from Germany
Ann cuddling that precious wittle kitty cat at the end was the cutest thing I ever did see. l just love her so much 😺
So true, panthers are one of my all-time favorite animals. Always wanted a black cat 'cause they remind me of them, and now I have one. She's a lovely little killer.
@@alexstone6330 Congratulations on your new cat ! I feel so happy with my cat too! She is such a sweetheart! I hope your cat adds great joy to your life!
Yep Sydney but the black panther was even better
I wish I was cuddling a sweet precious panther. ❤️
looks just like my little taylor that recently died , sweetest cat ive ever had , had her for 15 years , miss her more than any of my exes , wish she was still here
One of their best. Heart has always been a favorite Lady band of mine. Keep on rocking everybody. 70's and 80's rule.
I'm more a fan of 70s Heart than their 80s songs, but, hard to deny that the 80s Heart was damn good too.
Updated & Polished
The funny thing to me is those three huge 80s/early 90s albums got better with each one, but the choice of singles got worse. Brigade was the best and heaviest of those albums but Capitol was trying to milk all the power ballads so the four singles were all power ballads that made Heart sound whiny.
the sisters are so beautiful.. no matter their age or skill level which BTW, was incredible
our cat, Lynxsy, was hugged by Ann.
I know she would love Lynx!
Grew up listening to heart . Playing there albums over and over again. What a GREAT generation ! such talented sisters. :)
When I was 11 I played “guitar hero III” and always love “Barracuda”, then started to listen a kind of rock music during 2019, and remember that song, I started to listen that song again, and the whole album “Little Queen” and then I fell in love with sisters Wilson...
They are the greatest
Ann's eyes bring me to my knees - both sisters are beautiful!! What a group Heart is!!!!!
Amen!
Amen
Just doesnt get any better than this! Legends! :) Glad Ann and Nancy are still performing...hey, did any guy growing up in the 80s like me NOT have a crush on Nancy? Or both?
From an era when singers 'sang' and songs were meaningful. Ahhh, nostalgia.
Words cannot express how much I love this song
And even today, in The Jetson's 2020, radio stations won't play women's music back to back. Years ago, can't remember who it was, a woman rocker was interviewed and asked "why was it so hard to find a record label back then?" And she said it wasn't hard if you were men and she was told more than once the label already had their "J" lady (meaning Judy C, Joni M, or Joan B) and they didn't need any more.
Thank God for Heart. ♥️
Hearts music, and 80's music in general will never let you down!
The Wilson sisters rule, just pure talent.
Annie's voice always commands profound respect....Play that Kramer Sryker "Strat," Nancy!......
The guitar licks in this song are awesome. That twangy sound!!!!
They are the best female led rock band of all time saw them at Wembley arena on the bad animals tour! brilliant
I remember driving to my summer job, windows down and this cranked up. Too many years ago to count.
Great singers and musicians no auto tune pure talent!
Plenty of cheesy 80’s effects on this whole track. To the point it detracts from the vocals, guitars and drums
we are still rocking them April 2020 Covid-19 cant take away our music who else is listening ?
Heart still shakes me up to this day and I'm 74~!!!!
I am,Ann on this mode is the ultimate rock goddess, cat in the night
Classic
Yes ma'm. And I refuse to let it go. It's part of my bean.
Karen Gimbert me in Wyoming
That voice...perfection
Heart was and still is the greatest band ever i just love her hair and outfits and could listen to their music forever
Perfect comment. I agree entirely.
Ahhhh, the memories. Was sooooo cool to see Ann and Nancy back in the day like this. They were adorable in this video. As always. :)
Some my earliest memories of driving around with Mom and Dad was listening to Heart. Ann and Nancy were and are incredibly relevant.
I'm 50 now but these women were and still are my first crush. I fell in love with Ann and I'm still in love with Ann. She is in my opinion the greatest female vocalist of the last century. Steve Perry male vocals, Ann Wilson female vocals. End of discussion.
One of my favorite videos of all time. Love the girls, the band, the cats!
AWESOME GROUP AND LOOK AT ANNE'S EYES AND FACE EVERYONE. BOTH SISTERS ARE GORGEOUS!!!!
Tell it Stev al ! Talent abounds!!
Song is very underrated 💕
Love this band & it doesn't hurt when the 2 front people are gorgeous sisters that just so happen 2 be in one of the Biggest bands in the world...met them personally in a local bar in Seattle and watched the Jam through the glass windows, they came outside and partied with the younger crowd...that was 1977...What can I say....WOWWW
What a Voice, I’ve loved this song forever, def one of their very best!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹
