As someone who is disabled (now an adult still living with my parents)this case just hits different knowing this “mom” stood there & actively allowe/participated in her boyfriend putting this precious sweet girl who fully depended on her for EVERYTHING,in that sweltering car & was ok with leaving her there until she slowly suffocated absolutely shatters my heart;bc I know that from the MOMENT I was born (a 2lb 5 0z preemie)despite how sick she was (HELLP Syndrome)my mom was going to & still does fight like hell to get me all the necessary services I needed she was in it for the long haul no matter how tough it got (doctors told her not to expect much that I’d be deaf, blind & so many other things)but both she & my dad who came into our lives when I was 2,were committed despite countless hospital stays, surgeries & pneumonia lots & lots of pneumonia especially in my childhood. And yes depending on what the disability is & the severity of it having a child like us can be physically mentally & emotionally draining it can take so much out of you HOWEVER there ARE other alternatives there’s NO excuse good enough to intentionally murder your little girl especially when she needs a lot more than the typical able bodied child (and nobody jump down my throat yes all child murder victims matter)but this one is pretty close. I watched both my parents looking completely haggard and sleep deprived each go home (either to our actual house or a hotel room)barely long enough to shower change sleep spend time with my younger siblings and eat some decent food then come right back to the hospital to be with me countless times as a kid they always had extra help in my aunts and cousins & grandparents of course but they were & are ALWAYS there when I needed them no matter the circumstances or how sick I was (and there were some times that I got pretty close to death)There’s also been times that I’ve felt pretty guilty bc of just how much I needed them & it took away from my younger brothers yet they never gave up on me even when I was a total jerk both on & off the necessary medication I needed during those times. Frankly I hit the jackpot & maybe not now but hopefully one day she’ll realize just how much of a part she played in taking such a precious soul from this world I hope it eats at her bc though we take more time, stress & we scare the hell out of our families a lot more than the average person we DO matter!!🥹🥹🩷🩷

@@kathycamac1011 Aww thank you,yes I have some (though blindness/being deaf aren’t included)they warned my mom I could have trouble with learning which I do and bc they vented me immediately after I was born that’s where my lung issues came from (I was a 97 baby so back then they pretty much always put babies on ventilators right away, they aren’t so quick to do that today with preemies though)I definitely don’t mind you asking especially if it helps. I do have a brain injury as a result of being born so early so I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 18 months and didn’t walk on my own until I was 3. It’s more prevalent on my left side so I deal with low muscle tone tightness/spasms and balance issues;I also have arthritis & chronic pain stemming from it so walking particularly really long distances is a challenge but I’m incredibly blessed to be in the (mostly)ambulatory category. I’ve dealt with some providers definitely counting me out (I’ve even had some including a physical therapist)tell me that basically all my symptoms that come from an actual diagnosis were psychosomatic/all in my head he was under the impression that with enough therapy he’d “cure” me🙄unfortunately sometimes as much as I wish it was true that’s not the case, sometimes drs therapists etc are going to be that way and think they know better than you or your child but YOU do not them(even though I’m an adult now I’m still learning how to navigate everything and speak up for myself)and if your child has the ability to communicate verbally it’s really important to help them know how to speak to their drs bc only the ones dealing with the actual disability knows what we feel (if there’s no verbal communication of course that’s ok)And yes there’s always hope and you’re not alone my mom had to hit the ground running when I was born to learn everything possible about how to help me bc there wasn’t as much knowledge sharing back then or organizations meant to help people who have specific disabilities she was also only 19 AND I was her first child but she’s learned a lot and now that a few friends have babies who were born with different disabilities she tries to provide that support. Part of the reason I’m so tough is bc of her as a matter of fact you are both Cathy hers is just with a C.🫶🩷🤗

I think she got that award before she started using meth. Which poses another question; what led to a highly respected individual who was very good at her job end up using meth? I've watched trials where the defendants have been meth addicts and the before/after photos of when they started using meth are really telling. The "before" photos show normal, regular people, clean and well-dressed; in the "after" photos they look as if they've been living wild, totally unkempt. Humans have always taken drugs but I cannot fathom why an individual with so much going for her would take the stuff. Then there's Alex Murdaugh who was addicted to painkillers. Having written this, I know that drug use and addiction is no defence.

And, each year they're incarcerated, one 'privilege' should be taken away - for good.
In addition, I would like to see their cell(-s) get visibly smaller as each year passes.
No matter the crime, the death penalty is the easy way out - and it costs the taxpayers way more than having somebody incarcerated for the rest of their natural life.
