  • In this video from a recent Beck Institute workshop, Dr. Judith Beck and Dr. Aaron Beck discuss exposure techniques for anxiety disorders. Using a patient example, Dr. Aaron Beck illustrates in-vivo exposure with a patient with a bridge phobia. Dr. Judith Beck reminds us that exposure techniques can also be employed in the therapy office using imaginal techniques as well as with the help of the internet by, for example, having the patient view videos related to specific phobias (e.g., a video of a person driving on a shaky bridge).

Before they built the new bridge, I used to feel the same on this narrow old bridge (Huey P Long). I just drove in the middle of the 2 lanes. Ofcourse there were cars behind me that weren't so happy.

My favorite exposure technique is to do a mantra for 508 repititions a day and deal with the symptoms that come after doing the mantra
I am 1 week in and 35% of my anxiety is gone already
Please respond back and let me know what you think of that

Up Yours Truecaller because I know that it will take more than what you will usually do
I took 508 repetitions of the mantra because it’s quicker and more fast than usual
