Great review. I can't get enough of mine, had it since launch. I find myself choosing the Pelagos over the Sub no-date to wear, the titanium is just so comfortable and light. A killer watch for sure! The lume is also what impresses me, on the beach at night, this thing lights up like a torch!
A bit small for me to wear but one of the best proportioned watches IMO. Fun fact. It was Tudors first 21mm lug width watch (which is why it looks so great). Pretty much all the reviewers at the time failed to notice this though, and many said it was 20mm. My AD sent me a picture and first thing I said to him was that it was 21mm.
This is so true. & The most minor, most silliest of detail is absolutely most important. I remember i saw one of the engineers/ designers speak in an interview on YT, (before i buy it) about the design for this, and they had to go with 21mm lug on this case size to achieve the symmetry that they were looking for. Thanks for the fun fact. Didn't know it was the first..
@@CrownAndMainspring I used to sell Tudors (own far too many too) and when it was launched we had a web chat with Tudor UK HQ. The head honcho said to ask him questions after the presentation so I asked for confirmation it was 21mm lug width (as I had only seen a photo). He had to check and get back to me. I think lug dimensions are far too important to ignore, and a big area that designs fail. I have quite a few 21mm lug width and the watches would look silly if 20 or 22mm. RUclipsrs are obsessed with badmouthing 21mm though 🙄
@@wristopia4101 Absolutely , i see a lot of un-needed attention. Not sure why such bad press is given to 21mm in recent videos ive seen. & to be honest, they have existed for many years now. I have a watch thats 20 yrs old with 21mm. Nothing new.
@@CrownAndMainspring It's because people have cheap 20mm straps that are incompatible, but mainly it's a vicious circle of RUclipsrs and commenters wanting to sound knowledgable and relevant.
The 21mm and 19mm badmouthing is because a lot of RUclipsrs run a small shop selling straps and they are either forced to carry more inventory or not able to shill their own stores😂).

An excellent offering from Tudor, but I still love the OG P42 blue! When opening the clasp, pull the sides.

Love the P39, but I think you should try the Doxa Sub200T. I have both and is a hard fight everyday between then to get wrist time 😅
Yup! I'm familiar with it. Its a hansom watch for sure. They really have a lot of super interesting selections @ Doxa these days.
It’s a shitter for guys who can’t afford a submariner
