Have these as fleet vehicles at work. Currently have the 2021 model. LOVE IT! Racked up 75K in less than 2 years. Getting a new replacement any day!
hey thanks for watching!
Just bought one yesterday!! LOVE IT so so much!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
I have a 2015 Nissan Altima and I racked up almost 300,000 miles. Currently in the process of purchasing one of these. I’m absolutely impressed with this car! Nissans last forever so I hav faith in the new Rogue
thanks so much for watching!!!!
Just got a new Rogue S yesterday, I just can’t appreciate enough, very good vehicle for its price compared to others.
thanks for watching
"6 dead bodies" ???? 😄 I thought only my family used that term to measure the trunk. Love it that YOU put that term out their. 😄 Watched the video because mom (who is 88 years old, by the way) is not sure what 2023 Rogue she just bought for herself. After watching this video, I'm definitely sure it's not the S model. Whatever model mom has, it's totally AWESOME!!! With all the extras, mom never wants to go home, and mom drives around town all day, every day. The Nissan Rogue is an exceptionally good car. This comes from a person who owned nothing but Cadillacs all of her life. With a Rogue, their is NO comparison to a Cadillac SUV. The Rogue has a much better feel to it.
glad we share the same humor thanks for watching and the insight to the nissan rogue!
Currently they have an amazing lease deal for this and wasnt expecting this much to be included in the base model. I’ll definitely be getting
heys for commenting if your in the Ontario Region contact me and I can help you with your purchase
@@carsunlocked what about in Quebec ? Can you help me out as well ? By the way really well done video
@@carsunlocked im living in Michigan can you help me with the purchase
A lease it's not really a deal, you loose all that money and end up with nothing at the end.
Very good and detailed review.
glad you liked it
Nice video, straight to the point. Camera is a bit shaky
thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it
One thing wish they added on higher trims were ventilated seats on SL and Platinum. The base model still looks nice for the money these Rogues are really popular see them all over.
I have never understood the whole ventilated seats. Wouldn't that feel drafty? I think the whole topic of cars of this caliper is a bit of a first world problem thing, but ventilated seats? Lol.
I never even use heated seats. I had to laugh to see heating steering wheel for the first time. It feels like a butler is about to hand me a towel next time I go to the bathroom, type deal, lol.
air conditioned seats should be added to the platinum I agree 100%
@Level 70 I know. Instead of said fart getting absorbed into the seat, it spreads around the car for everyone to enjoy almost instantly.
Thanks for reviewing the base model, which very few do
Glad it was helpful!
Just bought one, and it looks great for a base model.
Enjoy it
Love my 2022 Rogue S 💯 2.5 engine
it certainly is awesomeeeee
I just got this car for my wife. It actually reminds me of my 2018 Lexus RX 350 I previously drove. We ended up buying the exact model shown on this video, however I don't think ours had a heated steering wheel. I'm going to have to check that when she gets home but we bought an S.
I really like it and considering I paid 28,500 total for my 2022 sentra sr I think 29k total is fair for what we scored this rogue for. They just got us on the financing but 5.99 in this world is good i guess. I'd love to see a video of upgrades for it because I looked on the nissan shop and a lot of things can be added including remote start, nissan connect, roof racks, chrome trims, cameras and more.
thanks for watching
Much better spec than our entry model , but I really can’t remember the last time we saw an entry model. Bet your looking forward to your facelifted models soon ey 👍🏼
whos we?
United Kingdom (UK) ;-) , @@carsunlocked
4 dead bodies in the back got me dead asf😭
thanks for watching
I just bought the Rogue S this week.
congrats thanks for watching
I have the '22 model. I can confirm that with a properly rug wrapped body I can only get 4 in with the rear seats down. 🤣
great insight thanks for watching
For a first time car buyer in Canada is this recommendable over Rogue SV 2023 AWD ? Or should the SV 2023 be opted for upgraded features/ engine ?
meh all a matter of needs vs wants i guess
Great video! Is this $30548 us dollar or canadian dollar? Thanks
Canadian!!
You can't beat it for the price
thanks for watching!
hello, thanks for your review, really appreciate you took time to review the entire rogue trim with your other videos, this is good for buyer decision making. Since I am interested about the 2023 rogue I have one question, does the gas smell issue reported concerned only the 1.5 3 cyl turbo or also the former engine 2.5L ...need to know because I do want to screw my choice, thanks
Hey Franck I have been driving a 2023 Rogue with the turbo and have not smelled any gas. Mine has 5000 kms
Thanks a lot for the quick reply, actually I live abroad and I am cautious about facing this issue with no adequate maintenance contract...
@@carsunlocked hello Christopher, could you please let me know if the sound system in the rogue S is definitely bad or decent , if you have any idea
@@franckolivier9787 just purchased. It's not bad but its not a bose upgraded system. It appears to be 6 speakers. 2 tweeters in the dash, 4 door speakers. It wasn't a bad sound but it won't match a 8,10,12,16 speaker system in a luxury car.
What?! The base model Rogue in Canada comes with power seat?!?!
kinda its more like half power adjustable
Even though it's the base trim, I love the design on the wheels.
We agree! They are pretty cool
I like the thick sidewalls, beefy looking and provides a good cushioned ride. Nice wheels but gonna be hard to clean.
Thank you
You're welcome
Do they have better reliability of it's CVT transmission compared to older rogues?
Yes Nissan has now put their second generation CVT into the transmission and made several updates to improve the longevity
It is nice, but I am still glad I got the midnight edition
mid night edition is pretty stellar
I know you said this is the entry level one but I don’t have the heat settings on the seats or the steering wheel. This seems like an SV version.
this is in canada so maybe the features are different in your region
I noticed the leather wrapped wheel too....I'm sure that's not on any standard base Rogue...
I just got this in black on black. Its 2023 so i got it for less with 445 miles. Its the 3cyl.
thanks for watching congrats
That's a nice base model SUV. I could live with the 30 MPG. 🤩
You're definitely not going to get 30 mpg if you include a mix of city driving in there. Pure highway driving, sure, but doesn't one do things like grocery runs and whatnot?
@@Antiorganizer I have a 2020 Versa. With highway/city driving I usually average at least 42MGP. Then again I have a light foot. 😁
@@Stephen_A. Oh, Versa... I thought you meant a Rogue.
thanks for commenting Stephen as always the mileage is phenomenal on both cars
@@carsunlocked Not in the winter though. I'm finding that out now.
this suv loooks mature i like it
thanks for watching
S model does come with 1.5 liter engine. I don’t know where you got that information.
here in Canada the s still has the 2.5 l
thanks for sharing. I'm thinking of buying one. im teetering on this one or a Subaru Outback.. There is a big price difference. I need AWD and something large for our 100LB dog. I currently have a kia soul. =)
get yourself a dog hammock and you should be fine with either car
Hello, i havw a question does the tunnel cover included when you purchase a base model rogue? Because i did not get one.. Thank You in adavance
i dont think its approved on the S model
😅 you look like RJ Mitte and sound like him to hehe :D are u him ???
I could be
I don’t know why remote start isn’t standard on all vehicles in Canada.
just more things to add to the price
Is it pearl white or glacier white?
glacier white
The base model doesn't have wireless charging for your phone ?
No it does not
dose any of your customer of rogue 2023 have problem with gas smell ? saw this kind of complaints come out special for 2023 rogue, i ordered a beautiful 2023 midnight for my wife. worry about this seriously.
Have not heard of this once
You can fit 6 chopped up bodies in the truck and you have extra horsepower to get away from the cops 😂 along with the safety features. What more can you ask for
cant go wrong
During winter , I like to start the SUV from inside of my house instead sitting in a car, waiting for it to warm up . Does this Base Nissan Rogue has this feature ?
Thanks
not on the s model you need to go to the sv to get the remote starter
The only thing i wish that it would come standard is the remote start on the base models besides that my next vehicle chris after my lease is over with my qashqai👍👍👍…..ps what’s with dead bodies 😂😂😂😂
lol its a great way to visualize the size of the trunk
Ok chris i get it keep up the great reviews!!! 👍👍👍👍
I think it’s great
thanks for watching!
I am not really a rogue fan so I go with murano
great choice
MSRP Price Canada or USA Price 33248$
thats the canadian MSRP my friend
All Rogue 2023S have a turbo 3 cylinder. Slight correction to your statement that the base 2023 s has a standard 4 cylinder 181 hp.
thanks Matthew here in Canada the Rogue S comes with a 2.5 4 cyclinder engine the turbo is added when your go up to the SUV
Dude you could have say another world like luggage instead of dead bodies for trunk space
But then you would not comment....
$30,500. After freight and bs markup prices it'd be 32500 to 33500, really. Plus tax.
Still, given the crazy used car prices, it makes sense to consider this.
Also, about the turbo version. The turbo is great, but a couple of observations about the turbo...
While it is able to save gas, every time you ask power, it seriously becomes thirsty, and it's all too easy to basically spoil the savings. I'm not so sure it saves much on gas, honestly.
Second, turbo lag. It definitely has a delay to respond to power.
I kind of honestly wonder if people need to stop obsessing over the turbo. This is one seriously solid car otherwise. You're not going to be searching to battle other people off of traffic lights - that's silly. You use this to drive around. The rear legroom is awesome! Trunk space it good! It's super super quiet. It handles nicely - if this is your style of driving. Yes the steering feels light, and I happen to actually like that, so I would actually opt for this. There is under steer on windy roads, but that comes with an advantage: it does not tug on the steering wheel! Road imperfections, slants, wind, it doesn't make you have to keep correcting the steering. It rides rock solid right through that.
Handling in snow is, well, it's by far the best I've experienced - but you have to put GOOD winter tires on it! Do NOT rough it with all seasons. I would also resist resorting to "all weathers" like the Michelin Crossweather or whatever it's called. Get real bona fide nice and coarse winters because they provide the most stopping power. The stability control does a nice job keeping you stable and straight! I tried doing donuts in the snow for fun, but the car actually forbids it, lol.
What else... it feels more luxurious and lush than a CR-V even - definitely a better ride, imo - and quieter. RAV4 is too plastic fantastic and really stupid: it's missing inside door handles in the right spot, wth!
Android auto works great.
Rear audio speakers are too quiet, but you can fix it by using the fade setting and then also adjust the other sound settings.
IMO, this car is a major winner here! To get a CR-V for example, you have to spend more, and the ride isn't as good. Plus the CR-V has an absolute out of control completely unacceptable theft problem. Nissan has a proper anti-theft system, and like Mazda, these don't show up on any of the top 10 or top 25 theft lists.
The CX-5 is way too tight in the back and not family friendly, at, all. It's a complete non starter for families. Plus its trunk is strangely narrow. The Rogue doesn't have that problem at all. It's very spacious, literally no comparison at all.
And then the whole thing with hyrbids and plugins... I had a hard time with this myself. You have to spend an awful lot of extra money to get a hybrid (eg. RAV4) or worse, plug in hybrid. But calculate how many years you'd have to drive to break even. And electricity isn't free either. I made that mistake! I thought, ok, so if I shell out a whole lot of extra money on say, an Outlander PHEV, surely, I'll make up for it by not spending money on gas (most of the time anyway). When doing a hydro calculation you have to use the amount you see on your bill, because that includes the delivery charge. $3 worth of electricity vs $6 worth of gas (not entirely sure I have this right). So I'm saving $3 on an errand. That's an awful lot of errands before that Outlander starts to save money. And then, imagine 8 years down the road. Would you right now buy a PHEV or hybrid that's 8 years old? Noway, because I anticipate battery issues around that time. So the perceived appeal starts off high, survives for a number of years, and then suddenly drops way off.
I think it's time for another round of plain old gas. And then perhaps next time, a full electric plus a dirt cheap backup on gas (like a 15 year old civic or corolla or something, lol).
Any of the electrified stuff just isn't ready.
Nissan knows it. I think people are conned into hybrids and especially the expensive phevs, imo. Perhaps some of the sedans are ok, like a prius or corolla hybrid or elantra hybrid. But that's just about it for reasonable choice. For SUVs, I say save now, and get something like the Rogue.
X-Lent info!. But what you say about the JATCO CVT ?
@@bextar6365 It's been overhauled. Reportedly, 30% less friction and far bigger cooling capacity. I think Nissan isn't stupid. We're talking Japanese engineering here. Rogues sales aren't far off from the RAV4 and CR-V and belongs in the same group, really. It's not some kind of alt car or anything like that.
@@Antiorganizer Like the vehicle overall but, just not the CVT.
Had one in a Subaru that worked well but enjoy my 2 SUVs with 8 spd trans much more ..
@@bextar6365 The CVT does exhibit lag, but it's funny how it works. In Sport mode it fixes it.
It actually works quite well really. It's changed a lot.
I agree the sport mode really improves
Isn't 3 cylinder to small for a car that size
it also has a turbo
Hate the fact I'm going from a 2020 Rock Creek Pathfinder SV 4WD to a 2023 Rogue S model AWD - - UGH! I'm thinking I'm not going to be happy whatsoever - - did I mention UGH! LOL. Please....PLEASE tell me it won't be THAT bad?!?
hey you will love the rogue my friend
@@carsunlocked I'll let ya know - hard to believe going from a 6cy to a 3cy - need the horsepower to get up those hills to the slopes!
The pathfinder 2020 rock creek SV offers so much more than the rouge s though.
@@unboxings5218 Exactly my point!
@@luvthepie not going to lie I would stick to the pathfinder since it's only from 2020 (depending how many miles it has) and since it's so much bigger than the rouge and offers more than the rouge. In my opinion going to the rouge would be a big downgrade. Plus since you have the rock creek you have off road capabilities. I'm still going strong with my 2016 pathfinder SV with only 30,000 miles on it. It's such a great car!
In middle east this car name nissan X TRAIL
x trail has a great reputation
lol this guy is funny.
thanks for watching
Nice, but I'll keep my 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited. Thanks
ok thanks for watching
2 different animals...one gets 33 mpg, the other about 19. Gotta feed that big v-6.
@@ofcbob6391 I like the 2019 GC animal better
The 4 dead bodies 😂😂
puts things into perspective
@@carsunlocked it truly does lol
The Rogue S does not have heated seats or steering wheel!
we are in canada here filming perhaps the features are different in your region
Really don't think using dead bodies as a reference for size of cargo area is appealing
sorry you feel that way what would you prefer?
Measurements
😂😂6 dead bodies 😂
you know it
Creepy about the dead bodies comment! Should have referenced something less harmful and useful. Terrible analogy!
keep it up and ull be in the trunk MR
It made me laugh because I had to stop letting my kids go car shopping with me… for that reason
