A very cathartic video to watch! Beautiful work! A dear friend gave me a set of leather tooling and working tools that belonged to her late husband and you've inspired me to learn some more about the craft! Who doesn't need such a beautiful holster for such an important tool? 😉

Clearly, I need to step up my pruning shear game. I had no idea you had to be prepared to whip them dudes out like it was Prune Night at the OK Corral 😂 I won't be buried on Pruners Hill.
I love it. Maybe simple, but not a reason NOT to make it beautiful.

I love your videos and please make them on different topics. Please don’t hold yourself to just woodworking. I found your leather making very interesting. I wanted to make a couple of strops for sharping. I got some horse butt leather and never worked with leather before I tried different methods to cut them to size. The best results were using a rotary cutter. I was able to get consistently straight crisp cuts. You will also need a straight edge and cutting matt. Treat the rotary cutter with respect because it will easily cut you. Thanks again for sharing your talents and looking forwards to more interesting videos.

That was so cool 😎; just wondering 💭 why you do not have any more leather crafting videos? Your awesome!

Was definitely afraid of the sparks coming at my eyes! Great build!
Did you check the drill table for squareness in the other direction too or was that axis non critical?

Haha I'm just glad my lens made it out alive :)
I did check the other axis, just didn't include it in the video to shorten the time a little bit. You've got a keen eye Tom!

Nice job on the holster. I have made a few leather projects with tools not made for leather work and managed, but I was hoping you could maybe add a link(s) to a good basics kit of tools. The forks for making the holes is very handy, there are several varieties listed on Amazon and don't want something that the tines bend the first time I use them.
The link in your show more area for the slicker is not valid.

Hey Pat, sorry for the really late response. The stitching chisel set I like to use are from Tandy. Here's an Amazon link (affiliate) amzn.to/3g5jxLS . What tools do you have and maybe I can recommend some others that might be helpful?

@@Craftswright Thank you for the reply. Like I said no tools specific to leather work, I bought some needles for stitching, and rivets and the setting tool other than that I used a utility knife for cutting an awl /drill press for making the holes.

4:00 89.9. It's not square! You better spend the next 15 minutes tapping that table with random objects to get it aligned or your hole is gonna be crooked!
Frickin' cube level is the bane of my existence....
