Terminal computing of a form was used in schools in the early 2000's. It was called thin client. There was one expensive (robust) computer in the school and classes had 2-3 of the cheapest tech available. Not quite the same. but the class clients did none of the actual processing. The bigest pain where I worked was that the printer was in the school office and a student had to be sent to grab any printouts.
Thank you so much for what you guys do
Priceless and deeply nostalgic sound bites at the beginning... Got me remembering the early days of WDW in a most wonderful way.

I remember the "Astuter Computer Review" - As a computer guy I thought it was pretty cool.
