Denise, I really enjoy your vlogs. It was really interesting to travel with you on your visit to Brisbane. Thank you for inviting us into your daughter's home and sharing her fabulous pottery creations.
Thank you Denise it’s a lovely video and so very special to see your daughters ceramics as well. My sister lives in Buderim and moved there from Sydney about 7 years ago. We are South African and I have never visited Australia. It was so interesting to see the Cafés and art fair too. I have just sold my ceramic studio last year and gone back to painting after many years of playing with clay. My heart went out to you about leaving your daughters as we have 3 daughters all very creative too. Our youngest daughter lives in Auckland now. Far too far away. I still miss her deeply after 5 years. It’s so hard to live away from them and say goodbye. Sandi Hester is another artist we have in common. Keep up your video sharing as it is very refreshing, with good content in that it feels real, warm with what I grapple with too as we live creatively. You are very brave to do this sharing!
Dear Maggie, I'm so touched by your beautiful response... I always read them at the time they arrive.. and then respond soon after... I must have gotten distracted! Buderim is great, very central on the Sunshine Coast. Ohhh it's so hard when our family is far and wide away from us. :( @Sandihester is SUCH an inspiration to me, she really makes me want to paint more. So happy to hear you're enjoying my videos, thanks for connecting and sharing your heart. warmly, Denise
Thank you for the trip to Brisbane! Your daughter is so talented and you must be so pleased that she is following in your creative footsteps. Love your art and so happy for your successful show. Cheers!
Really enjoyed following you on your journey to the art fair and visit with your daughter. Such a lovely creative spirit! I always appreciate a little deeper peek into another artist's life. I'm also a frustrated traveler ( don't get to travel as much as I want) so anytime someone shows me the local cafes, shops, culture etc I'm very grateful! Had a little tug at the heart when you had to leave as i experience the very same thing when i visit my 2 daughters who live much too far away!😢Glad to hear your channel is growing! Thank you for sharing your life with me!😘 Sending much aloha across the pond!🌺🌈🙋♀️
Lovely to receive your beautiful sharing here Sherelyn, thank you for discovering and supporting this little art adventure. Much aloha across the pond to you tooooo. xx 🌺☕☕🫖🥧🥧
Hi Denise! I am a newer viewer of your channel. I have been painting for about 4 years, having started during the pandemic. I watch several painters on youtube which is how I have learned the basics of watercolor. I am about to learn acrylic. Anyway, I wanted to tell you how I love your art and how helpful your videos are to me. Your descriptions of your process have been very instructive and have not only expanded my ideas about how to create but have also given me permission to try experiment. On another note, I enjoyed this video tremendously. It is fun to meet your daughter and to see her fabulous pottery. Wow your family are so talented! Australia looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
hi Carolyn Marie, that's so great! teaching yourself via youtube is no small thing, Good on you. I find it's a never ending unfolding this painting journey :) and... 'permission giving' is one of the reasons I too watch some RUclipsrs, ones who put me in touch with being more free are my favourite. Thanks so much for your warm comments and connecting. oh yes, Alex's pottery is a sight to behold when in a bit group of it ha! She favours the BRIGHT colours. Australia is very beautiful, .. where are you in the world? xx Denise
