This makes me question if this is more about opportunity, exposure and carer climbing on Ashley's part due to her bipolar, Double standard Trump/Weinstein flip flops - from "attacking and grandstanding" to "pias forgiving and understanding" What??? Here, Ashley's "Keepers" are interviewing her "steering" the narrative to just Harvey and not Hollywood THE REAL PROBLEM!!!. And given any opportunity, Hollywood will deflect the anger and backlash toward Trump instead of one of their boyz like DeNiro.
Now. Watch how Hollywood cowardly pile on dropping names of less popular powerful more "Conservative" figures like Bill O’Reilly and Roger Ailes or Bill Cosby to claim their place on the "Hollywood Hypocrite High Ground" Meanwhile MSM/Hollywood avoids the "A Listers" like Ben Affleck, Alec Baldwin, Terry Richardson, Chris Savino, Child rapist Roman Polanski, (Given a Standing Ovation at the Oscars By all the Hollywood Hypocrites????) to name a few.. It's so sad that actresses like in this case who want to get on in the business and have talent, have to be subjected to such perversion. I'm glad Ashley was brave enough to stand up and speak out, not just for herself, but for other actresses. This kind of thing must stop.

@Bloody Kisses Everyone knows about the casting couch. It is nasty, but if you want fame and fortune enough to pay that price to get there quick......that is the route some people choose to take. It's a little too late to wait until you have that fame and fortune to speak out. If I laid eyes on HW in person, I would have run like the devil was behind me. He looks like he would try to have sex with anything that moves. He looks like a perv and didn't even try to hide it. There are rules if one wants to become rich and famous. Meryl Streep called that creep 'god'. They know. Too bad someone didn't kick him you know where and run away screaming for help. He should have been stopped long ago!!

@annamal pete I'm a survivor of a serial predator. I heard many stories from my co workers and friends where the habits were the same. Power, manipulation, control and the "I'll win no matter what you say to police. And I'll make you known to be a whore at your next job interview." Or even the threat to take employment away period were all factors. You should NOT be threatened with anything over coming forward but it happened even in a small town in America. Some came forward and some didn't out of fear. Many of the abusers friends were arrested for victim harassment and intimidation after the police were involved. We all need an steady income to live and the minute Someone threatens you with that over something that isn't your fault is morally and ethically wrong (and in some states, illegal). This problem isn't just in Hollywood, it's everywhere. How would you feel if you had to start all over because someone did something horrendous to You? Where are you going to go? How are you going to thrive? Do you have the costs it takes to move?
An offender should NEVER have that kind of power over your life but ask anyone who specializes in sexual abuse and they will tell you that they're usually highly manipulative, will brainwash and use other tactics against you from saying anything. So right back into the power and control most rapists have, are you going to let one person on this planet of the thousands you'll meet dictate your life?

Thank you for this. It's never your fault. Do not blame the victim blame the perpetrator! To those who refuse to have empathy is sad. I am I survivor or rape and I was able to stay alive. I was threatened and told if I EVER told anybody he would kill me and my animals. I was frozen and terrified. I had to block out what he was doing to me because it was so horrifying and I knew I would die if I could have tried to escape. He told me he would kill my dog if she did not stop jumping on him. My dog finally came and laid her head on my shoulder. I just remember looking into my dogs eyes as he raped me as tears ran down my face. I had to hold my breath to endure the horror and pain. You people that haven't had this done to you will never understand how terrifying it is. How much strength it takes to get through every single day sometimes. Please don't judge anybody that has been raped, sexually harassed or beaten. Don't chose to be part of the problem. Chose to be part of the solution and support all that have endured these horrific situations.

I get it. Females have to first look out for themselves. Sometimes, tho, it happens anyway.
That is why we warn girls ; because we know things.
God has given me insights at times into a man's psyche...it scares me. We females just don't think or can imagine what goes on in the minds of men. Not all men are bad. But there are way more than there should be.

@@juliedeane4327 victimization knows no gender! How does anybody see predatory behavior as anything but what it is. The term casting couch was coined long before any of this. Meetings in hotel rooms generally would be a clue. Do I see her as victim yes! By all means. Hollywood all together is created upon a bunch of lies. How we feel about ourselves is often based on the same thing. People who feel like they have power over you in any way think little of you from the get go. I see so many comments asking why they didn't report it but to understand why, to truly understand why someone does not report sexual assault or rape, I think you need to have walked in those shoes because the emotions that come after are a mixed bag of shame, embarrassment, guilt, fear, worthlessness and low self esteem; it makes you question your role in ways you would have never done so before such as whether or not you could have done something differently or why you 'let' this happen when in fact, you didn't 'let' anything happen.
Having been sexually assaulted and raped as a teenager, I personally know the mental and emotional nightmare such events create and unfortunately, in many ways, that nightmare never ends. It is such a vicious and mentally tormenting trauma and the worst kind of violation. It left me broken in every way imaginable and to this day, 20 years later, I still struggle, I still question myself and my actions even tho realistically I can now conclusively say to myself it was not my fault.
And 20 years later I am still paying the consequences of their actions.
Long story extremely condensed, it was the event which caused the break up of my family, my leaving home at 16, dropping out of school (although I did go back eventually and finish, even struggling my way thru college financially because I no longer had a family). Before it I played sports, played several musical instruments, was in a symphony orchestra, was looking toward a scholarship in lieu of the above and in a moment, everything changed. Everything I loved, including myself, was gone. I went from being that girl who could've done anything to being homeless, a drop out, experimenting with drugs and it was almost as if I had a V for victim tattooed on my forehead because I was so lost, empty, vulnerable and young and predators can spot someone like me from a mile away.
All to say this; don't judge from what you don't understand. Instead, ask questions, learn and try to see things from another's perspective because prior to I would have said similar things.
I am only able to speak now because in order to cope, I too had to find another perspective, a perspective that allowed and continues to allow me to try and help others who haven't yet found their way back.

      Whitney Davenport
I can't imagine what that must be like, nor can I blame anyone for not coming forward. I'm smart enough to know that I have no frame of reference. How others think they can make value judgements from afar is really incredible. We also are beginning to see that victims of abuse often act in counter intuitive ways, and psychologically this might be completely normal in those abnormal conditions. But this is then used against them.

Whitney Davenport - from my experience, a lot of people who are strongly judgmental over others who don’t immediately report are the ones who also have been assaulted (or nearly) and too action right away.
For a while, I was was one of those people until I was roughly 18 or 19, and met others (men and women) who had been assaulted and didn’t do anything about it from fear and shame. From that point on, I was able to see and learn to understand the other perspectives.
I was almost assaulted when I was 14. Random act, stranger. He grabbed me and tried to pin me to the ground. Thankfully, I was at the right angle after I was spun around and punched him in the throat. I ran to the police station and reported it (there’s a long story there that revolves another topic), and they took me seriously.
For those 4 to 5 years, I was so judgmental over people who couldn’t just do something about it if someone tried to or did harm them. After learning about those other assaults when I got a bit older, I’ve been able to understand the shame someone can feel, also how stupid my attacker was, and just how lucky I was to get away.
Sadly I still know people who are just as judgmental as I used to be. They just can’t grasp the concept of ignoring the shame and ignoring the judgement potentially place on the victim to take action.
Hopefully our society/societies can expand the educational side of these matters. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels we all could benefit from learning about such things, instead of reacting to the aftermath all the time.

I'd read tons of the comments, and I probably found out why they kept quiet for years, cause first of all, the predator is powerful and rich as fxxk to control the legal system to cover up what they did, and secondly, just like most the comments that I read, saying that those women traded their sexual favor to advance their career, that's maybe why those victim kept quiet for years, cause they believed that nobody is gonna believe them anyway....

    • @NQuiz52

But they DID trade sex for advancement. That was the game! Hollywood has always been this way. Now, they want to omit the idea of their compliance from the story. That's why the stores do not make sense. Everytime they get to a part that would reveal their compliance or aggression they say things like, "I don't remember" or "It happened so fast."
