Epic New Zealand 2024 Trip: Arrival & Weta Workshop

In this exciting video, we embark on our first day in Auckland after flights from San Francisco and Jacksonville. With Shannon and Russ arriving first, they ride to the Park Hyatt Hotel, where they check in and start their adventure. The rest of the family arrives shortly after, and we all gather to freshen up and prepare for a day full of exploration and fun.
After recharging at the hotel, we head out for a delicious brunch at Dr. Rudi’s, overlooking the beautiful Viaduct Harbor. With good food in our bellies, we make our way to the highly anticipated Weta Workshop Unleashed tour, where we dive into the magic of filmmaking and enjoy behind-the-scenes glimpses of stunning prosthetics, props, and really cool stuff.
As the day ends, we return to the Park Hyatt to check in and unwind before our evening plans. My parents pass out from long travel and too much fun, so the kids gather for a delightful dinner at Hello Beasty, savoring Asian-inspired cuisine and sharing stories about our day.
