  • ‘‘I’d seen what happened to the others at this stage. Others who couldn’t take it, who couldn’t handle staring death right in his screaming metal face like this, only inches away from their own…’’
Tonight’s terrifying tale of the strange and macabre is both parts of ‘The ‘Fear Itself’ Game’ by the wonderfully talented Corpse Child, kindly shared directly with me for the express purpose of having me narrate it here for you all:

I can't say I relate nor can I say I know how it feels to let a loved one go
What I can say though as a person who felt like a burden to others is that no one wants to hinder there loved one's
No one wants to have there loved one's watch them suffer
And no one wants to drag others down
You most likely made the person you loved glad they met you before there last moments
Treasure that and find some one else who would equally do the same for you in your last moments

Oh sweetie... that very emotional close.... I mean the story was fantastic, gripping, and your narration was so compelling, but... hearing you try to sum up after The End, how entangled your feelings... that's what makes your work such a pleasure to consume. Thank you for that very occasional peek behind the persona curtain, Doc, and for how much of yourself you put into all your storytelling adventures.

As a chemo survivor, this hit hard. There were so many days where I flipped between Webb, OC and child/wife.
My family expected me to face all of my fears and go through all of these procedures that made me feel even more sick. So I put of my no fear pants, and went and did what I needed to, and faced it with all of the bravery I could muster as a well crafted mask for how scared I really was.
Much of the time, a very good friend had to come with me, because I was too afraid to do the right thing.
Most of the time was spent thinking exactly that thought; "when will this be over".

Oh man. I've been taking a break from creepy stories for the past few weeks and this was my first one back. I wasn't expecting to listen to a story and get so emotional by the end of it. My mom recently died on June 22nd. It was sudden and unexpected. I was there to hold her hand when they took her off of life support and I was there to hold her hand when she died about 12 hours later. It's a memory of my mom I never wanted, but I didn't know how aware of her surroundings she was and I didn't want her to be alone or scared of there was any chance she could feel anything going on. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and this story illustrates it perfectly.
Thank you for this, Dr. Creepen. You did a fantastic job narrating this story. And if you happen to see this, thank you Corpse Child. This was a beautifully written story. Both of you are so talented.

On that note, paralyzing fear let's the bear walk right up and bish slap you with its claws. Compliance will kill you eventually, but unpredictable or erratic behaviour guarantees death. ;)

The ending, god.. Like many in here, the decision had to be made for my Mother too.. Hers was like Brent's; she was never going to wake up.. Her already being asleep didn't do anything for the pain of that choice, and I had to be pulled away from her afterwards, for I didn't want to let go of her hand. In the in between of the machine being switched off, and her last breath, I just kept begging in those last few minutes as if just....*something* would happen, and she would wake up.. This story...really hit that.

Ok, judging by the way you spoke post ending there is clearly something I am not privy to. And I’m not sure that I want or deserve to know. The story was excellent, heartstrings broken and taught. And I do think it was CC’s best yet. I will end my comment with this, Dr, whatever is ailing you so emotionally, the way I see the world helps me with many losses. Things happen as they should, and there’s nothing we can do differently to change it. Every decision we make is the right one, no matter the consequences. Each and every single event happens at the correct place, at the correct time and to the correct person. I’ve found that truly believing this and living with this faith of sorts, has lifted the very weight of the world of losses that I personally have endured. And there have been many. As of the moment I type this, there’s not a single person left in this world that has my love, nor is there anyone who gives me theirs. I am not an old man. Unfortunately, I have the possibility of many, many years left on this mortal coil. And, despite my sincerest efforts, of which I am not proud, I am here and cannot do a damn thing about it. I dare not give you any advice, it’s not my place. I don’t hold any wisdom past what I have offered. However I can wish you strength and include you in my prayers. And I am happy to do so. 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for the wonderful work you do for us all. It’s very much appreciated, and it definitely makes me feel better when I am able to lose myself in your words. I listen.

Really? That ending kind of ruined the story for me.
Seems like there would have been SO MANY other ways to find someone to end her son for her without having to torture and k*ll multiple people.
Probably would have been easier (and cheaper) to just, I don't know... hire someone to do it. Pretty sure it's a whole underground profession.
I'm sure some of the not good people she owed money to would have done it for free.
    Just a thought

I wouldn't say it ruined it for me, but yeah definitely a ridiculous way to go about it. the money she gave for prize money she could have paid someone to do it.

I've had a bunch of diagnostic medical stuff this week (including lp, Google at your own risk) and had to start new meds and what not. I've basically been in bed for a whole week and the main thing getting me through is this channel and your Spotify ❤️‍🩹 i appreciate all you do for us so much 🙂 know that we love you!
