    • @sdb9884
      @sdb9884 2 года назад +40

      It’s because the bodies of those under the influence tend to be extremely relaxed. Their natural instinct to brace for impact is too dulled to react in time.
      That is likely why the young kids survived. They probably didn’t even know it was coming because that was really fast. The baby died because it was thrown out of the vehicle at a high velocity. From what the witness said, the baby was thrown quite a ways.
      The fact that the driver needed so much pain relief could be because of high tolerance from drugs or alcohol, so a normal amount isn’t as effective.

A good lawyer would blame the boyfriend and say the argument caused her to have a psychotic episode which led to the incident. .. and bring in a psychiatrist to confirm that it is in fact possible to go temporarily insane because of anger...

    People ask "why the driver that caused the crash survives more often?"
    Simple its physics and nature. The person that caused the crash is moving with the speed of the vehicle, less shock when it comes to an abrupt stop because they are traveling with the same motion. The victums recieve the biggest abrupt shock of movement which is way more severe than already being in the motion of the force that caused the situation.

    That pink car just missed it. A few seconds sooner and it would have been them. I pass by that intersection all the time.

    Maybe it was a suicide attempt but instead of killing herself, she killed five others due to her reckless act.

    My god. I can't even imagine seeing the baby or any of that. The woman was traveling faster than 50. The car is going so fast it's a blur.

    The front passenger side tire looks flat before entering the intersection.(0:02) my uncle's been watching this all day on his big tv. Pausing it here & there. He used to do traffic accidents.

    People saying she could've had a stroke, that doesn't make a car go 100 mph. This is intentional. She should never see the light of day again.

    Only 7 to 8 frames for the car to travel somewhere around 30 metres. Even at 24 fps, that worked out to be 200 mph. No sane person would even think of driving 100 mph on a busy freeway, let alone 200.

    Emergency services should have done that blood test before pain meds.

      I agree. She could have held on in pain for someone at the hospital to draw blood. She deserved to suffer a while longer.

      So you advocate for delaying lifesaving medical care in order to draw someone's blood in violation of the Constitution? Sounds pretty tyrannical.
