Being Irish myself and living in Manchester 22 years, having extended family in Ireland, my pet peeve with the LUAS trams in Dublin is that there is no line from the Irish Ferries Terminal in North Wall into the City Centre, when I arrive home on SailRail from Holyhead - there is a nearby station in Dublin Docklands and they are planning to extend that line from M3 Parkway to Navan in the coming years, but the transport options out of Dublin Port are very limited, even though the Port has been expanded to take cruise ships - there is not even water taxis along the Liffey at high tide like they do in London
Brilliant video Jen. Do love the banter and the epic race between Connolly Station and Busaras.... Looking forward to the next part of Riding the Dublin Luas and REALLY want to head to Ireland myself!
As long as I’ve lived in Manchester for 22 years, it’s always rather special for me to come home to Ireland to visit my extended family and friends in Rural Ireland and in Dublin - I try to speak Irish Gaelic where I can, as I still hold an Irish passport and I love the fact that they have the place names in Irish as well 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪❤️❤️❤️❤️
1:05 I see what you did there. Also, 3:01 - ‘The tube in the cube’! You usually can get on the canal in Dublin, near Mespil Rd just past Baggot Rd. (Go through a couple of locks, right in town!)
Never lost a race?? Well i remind you madam that you've lost to GLovesTrains, Nick Bradley and now Johnathon, (Then you'll lose to me in the future 😉Never been to island and I've very much enjoyed this video with them Irish Trams and The Point lol!
Living in Manchester 22 years, I go home to Ireland as often as I can on SailRail via Chester and Holyhead on TfW or Avanti - your best option is the Irish Ferries Ulysses ferry, but I don’t recommend the Dublin Swift, as the ride is too rough and it’s more likely to get cancelled in rough weather - be aware that transport options out of Dublin Port into Dublin City Centre are very limited and getting back to Dublin Port for your return sailing can be very problematic if you don’t allow at least 2 hours to transfer from the City Centre to the Port
6:37 Busaras Coach Station is in a disgraceful condition and has been left to decline since the early 2000’s - it’s an embarrassment for Ireland’s tourist industry and yet, it was never like this when I grew up in Dunshaughlin Co Meath in the 1970’s & 1980’s, it did used to be a beautiful station - when I see it now when coming home from Manchester, it’s total cringe
Hi Jen, looks fabulous over there, really smart trams to ride on...see you in the next video...take care..

Hello Jen. I saw you in Gregg's at Piccadilly Station this morning. Hope the coffee was ok! Safe travels 🙂👍🚂

Trams are cool. Totally agree.

Trams are cool! Yessss, you’re so right!!!
Great stuff, that was the closest race ever 😜
I’ve not been to Dublin for over 20 years, before the tram was opened - looks like a lot has changed!
Day four without rain? Hour four ... and even minute four, would be somewhat surprising!
The Luca tram in Dublin are very nice. I would like to go to Dublin because I’m so tempted to ride on the Luca tram.
brilliant video
I really wanna go back to Dublin! I went years a go when I was 12, it’s such a lovely city!

Want to go to Dublin now 🙂

Dublin looks really nice, as do the trams. Great video 👍
I only hop on a tram at Connolly Station, if the tram is about to leave.

Move to Dublin, we londoners don't care anyway..... honestly live your videos Jen
Brilliant video Jen, I've never been to Dublin before and would love to go there and ride the trams there. :)
Poor Connolly station. :(
Up my man James!
Jen, you and Lorna for a film from Dublin, she is Irish!
Fáilte go Baile Átha Cliath, Jen! Hope you had fun on the Luas!
Brilliant 👍
But I seem to remember you lost a race against GLovesTrains a few months ago
I like that Irish is slowly on the move, like you Jen, but why does it have to be such discrepancies between spelling and speech?
Can you come to Northern Ireland and film trains in that country?
Damn, I keep trying to see how accessible the trams are, and you keep moving the camera.
Did Liffey smell
I live in Ireland
Trams

The only gripe I have about your channel is I wish you'd review rail from places outside the UK once in a while. American subscriber from the US here.
You know Dublin is in Ireland right?
@@whereinsussex I'm in the United States, but I'll gladly watch videos from Ireland.
@@hirampriggott1689 this one is from Ireland and not from the UK 👍
