One thing I did like from the live reunion was that the participants were able to address things that were the editors' shenanigans. Like Kwame saying something along the lines of : the only reason he considered using the name Alex in the pods was because it was a producers' suggestion and because Alex is his actual first name, but he always goes by Kwame and is very proud of his heritage. Which, based on what I heard from black viewers, was extremely shady of editors because it cast Kwame into a certain stereotype that he wasn't. So yeah, I felt it was useful to hear participants speak up without being controlled by the edit, once again. Given the ongoing lawsuit against a season 5 participant and the production company, it would be risky to do a live reunion in case a participant says anything related to those events. Though I hope the Lacheys do speak up about it, even if only to acknowledge the lawsuit. It freaking breaks my heart that someone has been permanently hurt by production and someone who claimed they loved them. I hope the show does some serious restructuring because this happened under their watch and when you're putting people in vulnerable situations, serious safeguards need to be in place, imho.
I’ve seen long lasting couples where one part says that. So it doesn’t automatically mean it’s not going to work out, but definitely mean that the one saying that has low self esteem. But yes super cringe and I would NOT like someone saying that to me😂
I legit skipped ALL the part before the wedding and went straight to each of the bride's walking down the aisle. And I was not shocked about Stacy and Izzy. I was shocked Milton said yes but not shocked that Lydia said yes. It was such a dud season.
What did you expect for everyone to be married that’s what the shows about I honestly like this session it was completely knew drama not the same boring drama every love show has. This proves that love isn’t always blind for some it is and was.
Stacy's body language when Izzy was saying all those lovey dovey things gave it away immediately. She looked like she was just waiting for him to stop talking so she could say no. Izzy constantly repeating that love isnt about money, finances, what he has or doesnt have, was so funny to me. It felt like he was setting it up for Stacey to look bad if she said no. Also him saying "why are you 33 and single" and to goback to her 45 year old rich boyfriends left me speechless. I heard his bruised ego more than his supposed heartbreak
Exactly! Trying to make Stacy look like the villain. Instead of being cordial about her decision, he went for a low blow. So that’s very telling. They really tried to make him look like the victim but I can see right through it.
Izzy is a shell of a man who never fully developed due to his childhood. I knew that as soon as we saw him crying in the closet LMAO. He needs therapy. Stacey, however, isn't in the right instantly because of what he said after the alter. Daddy's money has given her unrealistic expectations of how the majority of men are doing financially at 29. Yes, Izzy is a bad situation, but what he said at the end was true even though it was rude. A 29 year old man that has it like THAT financially isn't going to pick Stacey to marry anyways, cause she's not all that and a bag of chips like she thinks.
@@amgvlogs5087you speak exactly like a hurt broke lil boy. She ever went after 29 yrs old men, it happened this time because of the pods. If you're F 30 and have no passport, no credit score, no car, no Shit, worry about financial issues, not about marriage. And look for women your status. Cuz if a woman make kids, make money, make F everything, than wtf are you even good for? 😂😂
This is bad but, it's funny that Izzy went from being everybody's #1 to looking like a slob with bad credit and trying to gaslight Stacy into marrying him 😅 this season was a hot mess.
since when, she is disgusting. Never intended on marrying him always looking for excuses to not like him, and old looking trashy too. Please he is 29 she is 33 dating old men with money yikes
I do think Milton is probably a good guy. He's bright, but still not too good at relationships with women. Maybe with a little counseling he will be ready for marriage in 5-10 years, but not to someone like Lydia. Unless she's much different in real life, she's a lot for any man to handle! She seems very childish and immature in many ways.
It’s actually quite interesting how different the experience can be between BF’s video and the actual thing cos I watched him cover the first season then recently started watching the first season with my mum and suddenly couldn’t stand someone I thought I’d like.
@@projectkj7643nope, that's another couple. I think there where up to 6 couples, not sure. But I know about Carter and Renee and the SA incident. I have no idea why they chose not to share the Renee parts, they could have explained what happened. Instead we got these really bad edits and shitty couples. This season must be the craziest of them all.
And his creepy smile. She's crying asking for communication and he sits there smiling at her. Damn well knowing she's uncomfortable. Almost as if he's enjoying making her feel like shit.
“If you want to see who a person really is, don’t give them what they want.” Izzy proved this adage to be 💯% true when Stacey told him “No.” at the alter. For him to immediately lapse into “You’re 33 years old and still single!” and “Keep dating 45-year-old men and having failed relationships!” said it ALL. Izzy either needs to be validated by a marriage or is looking for a woman to use and live off or both. Another huge red flag was his energy for Johnie and going in on her long after becoming engaged to someone else. And saying he was “turned on” by Stacey being mean to Johnie was indicative of serious emotional issues. Forget a bullet, Stacey dodged a heat-seeking missile. 😅
Great quote and it's absolutely true. But you've applied it incorrectly to Izzy's response after Stacey said "no" at the alter. What he said about her is 100% true. She is 33, still single, and has traditionally only pursued older men with money with failed results. He didn't "immediately lapse" into anything. Watch the video again. He was immediately kind to her and more polite than she deserves. As reality and disappointment set in he was asked by the producers to talk about what he was feeling and he did. It was honest and factual. I don't necessarily care for the guy but your assessment of him in that moment is flawed.
@@thetoughgroupyou know what I find very interesting none of those forty-five-year-old successful men have married Stacy what does that say about her?
@@thetoughgroup : Seriously? How “immediate” did it have to be? Do you think he was going to say all that at the alter in front of their friends and family? They were still at the venue, weren’t they? He was still in his suit and Stacey was still in her wedding gown. That’s “immediate” enough. Whether what Izzy said about Stacey was true or not is irrelevant. The point is he brought up her past and used it against her. Izzy and Uche are two sides of the same manipulative, immature, controlling, self-absorbed coin. Everything Izzy ever said about being trustworthy went right out the window. If Stacey’s just an aging gold digger, why’d he want to marry her so bad? That’s like guys who ask women out, and when they’re turned down say things like, “You’re ugly anyway, I was just trying to do you a favor.” Needless to say, Izzy has no idea whether or not Stacey’s next relationship with a rich 45-year old will fail and it doesn’t matter. She exercised her right to choose and he’s too emotionally immature to handle it. He knows he’s a liar and manipulator with nothing to bring to the table. He still wants what he wants when he wants it because he’s unaccountable and entitled. Izzy’s rant implied that he was her last chance, which not only isn’t true, it’s a sure sign of an insecure narcissist. He uses shaming to lash out when he’s upset or doesn’t get is way. Like Uche, he takes delicate matters people reveal to him in a show of confidence, and weaponizes them. My assessment wasn’t “flawed”. It went over your head.
Exactly. Izzy was lashing out in anger when he said that because it makes no sense. If things had gone his way she would have been a 33 year old married woman. That said, all of these people (with the possible exception of Milton who is a man/child imo) are egocentric and vile.
@@Solotv84: It really doesn’t say anything about who she is a person. Maybe they felt they could ‘afford’ a woman who was younger and prettier. Does that mean she needs to settle for a guy who’s immature, broke, emotionally manipulative, doesn’t know how to pronounce “debt”, and has bad credit?
Izzy's definition of love is The Titanic. Need I say more? As soon as she put the brakes because he lied about expectations (let's call a spade a spade) he completely obliterated her calling her a 'has been' basically. If Stacy hadn't been so busy in her pick-me phase in the pods, she should have seen through it.
And she and her family called him a 'basic broke bitch' basically. They weren't made for each other. Hey ho, hope they move on to the relationship they both want. Stacy wants to marry her dad, let her.
@@thetoughgroup is not gonna get easier Stacy is very mid they're hotter blondes, younger and far more emotional avaliable than her that fit more of the trophy wife aesthetic that rich men seek if Stacey wants to marry a rich guy she might have to marry a man that's older or obese
I get a little skeptical when I see Lydia telling herself and all her friends and the family just how perfect Milton is.... and meanwhile I see it for what it is. Meaning she is ready to settle for anyone, and he's immature enough to give it a try because the sex is good and "what's the worst thing that can happen, right?"
@@Solotv84 Exhausting is the perfect word for Lydia. She claims to be brilliant, but she certainly didn't seem to exhibit much brilliance during her screen time. For a 30-year-old professional person, she seemed childish most of the time, and the whole thing with Uche was crazy!
@@bwj4893 Yes she is probably one of the most educated women and also smart women in the show's history but her behavior screams 2-4-1 ladies' night at the at the club lol
To be fair Milton seems like kind of a catch to me, he said some pretty smart things during the show and seems chill. But I still don’t thing they’ll last just because Lydia hasn’t solved her own issues
@@kells4315the “your perception is your reality” thing was his downfall. He would use that to dismiss major red flags. That’s a terrible adage to live by!
@@brigh12 Right, his family seems controlling. The mom and sister seems overly masculine and stern. Ijs. I feel bad for Milton. He needs to speak to them from a distance. And the dad has no backbone at all.
Wait ‘til you get to the Denver season. You’re going to have guys jilted at the altar, saying “I went on this show because Dating in Denver sucks! There’s more single men than there are women. The women have a plethora of guys to choose from, while we have to compete against each other… This entire thing is fucking rigged! We as guys just can’t get any breaks here. Fuck this shit!”
Yet this is the guy a lot of girls wanted in the beginning. Just goes to show some people are good at putting on act and charming their way into what they want.
Stacey wants his love and body. She still want to enjoy them after she rejected him...then will discard again izzy when there's someone new. She couldnt get past the bad credit score/financial issue.
Stacy wanted to come across as Iight ,and fun in the pods ,to get picked she didnt not ask the hard questions, and had a reality check. She wanted him because most women want what someone else wants. Im glad she did not marry him it was uncomfortable to watch this season.
Agreed. I was actually shocked by Stacey lifestyle. In the pods she came across as a totally different person. She didnt give me any impressional that she is well off. I think Iggy feel for for her pod personality. He was intimidated by her. It would of never worked, she would be paying for everything. And the fact that he said 50/50 on dates all of the time. He gave no leeway that he would be a man and step up. He did minor stuff that she could do for herself.
Don't forget that HE withheld info from her. She had to hear about his shitty credit score and unpaid loans from a third party and Izzy only spoke about it once she pried into it. She discussed money and finances from the get go as soon as they left the pods and since she's in a stable stage, it's only fair to do so. She did nothing wrong in that regard, and if anything, Izzy was the red flag in that situation
So shocked Milton said Yes. Lydia is not ready for marriage, and the fact that so many people were rooting for them is a clear indication that they don’t know what a healthy relationship looks like either. She displayed a quality that reflects one of the main stages of divorce: Defensiveness. She also reacts rather than stopping to think about how her actions affect not just her, but those around her. She is immature in ways that can only be fixed with time and therapeutic exercises.
Honestly, a unserious wedding like Milton's and Lydia's is so much better then some super "perfect" wedding. His "Is this supposed to be buttoned up?" was just so real haha.
As a Pokemon Showdown player this is the only reason I have watched your recaps for this season. When the showdown account posted his ladder rankings the entire community was dying
I know people don't like Stacy but she dodged a bullet. Izzy's true colors came out with that comment. And HELL YES credit scores and money (stability) matters. Most marriages don't end because of infidelity it's because of finances and I don't think as a grown ass woman with her own house Stacy was asking for a lot. Milton and Lydia are complicated. I think in some ways he wanted an escape. In earlier episodes he talk about a lonely childhood with very strict parents. They seem like good people but the emotion and showing love seem to be non-existent. I think that's a big reason why he was drawn to Lydia. He loved how passionate she was, something he may have craved for growing up. He's also very mature for his age. Now the big question is, are they still married? Hmm. Also I hope at the reunion they address the Renee/ Carter relationship and wedding we didn't get to see.
I think that for Milton, all he wants is to have kids and a warm and fun family - Latin families are always fun, lots of parties, good food, music, people know how to have fun and relax - something really attracts Milton... go Milton, we all wish you the best luck, you got this!
Marriages don't end because of money specifically, they end because there's failure to get on the same page and to work on it together. You don't get a divorce because you lose a job, you get a divorce because you think status is important, when really it doesn't mean anything when we're just all humans wanting love. Stability could be something you like, but not a requirement. Being loved for who you are, is.
@@Ganychanwell, go tell someone in poverty that stability is not a requirement, money is just mean hungry for status, all they need is being broke and in love then 😂 I’m sure life is extra peachy and lovey when you’re constantly starving and worrying about how to pay for the bare essentials.
@@Ganychanthis is an absolutely insane take. We’re living in one of the worst cost of living crises in decades and people are struggling to put food in the table but sure, stability is just a “nice to have” 🙄🙄
I didn't understand Izzy when he said he could give her what a 45-year-old can. Wasn't he the one saying dinners should be 50/50. If he doesn't want to even pay for a dinner what could she really expect from him!? Stacy did the right thing. I think he's seeking a stable wife since he's clearly not.
I think she was raised with a lot of: “you deserve this” “you shouldn’t apologize for that”. She seems completely unaware of her entitlement and privilege therefore also unaware of how judgemental and demanding she is of others. Stacy acts like her way (and only her way) is “duh, so obviously the best, rational, most intuitive way” and genuinely thinks others are acting crazy or wrong or not making the right decisions when it doesn’t align with her standards. To me she came across as someone very close minded, a: “lifes in a bubble” type of individual. (Sorry for the unrequeated stacy take/rant)
I only liked Milton and Chris this season. Lydia’s reason for loving Milton is because he chose her??? She basically complemented herself. That was weird. I do hope they are still together at the reunion.
Unfortunately I feel like “loving” someone because they chose you is not that weird in our society…lots of sad people just desperate to feel loved by someone to externally validate themselves!
@@carriefingsolomontrue! It is sad indeed. A lot of people are confused about what love really is. Also, if you marry someone (or get into a relationship) it should also be about "what can I give the other person", and not about "what can I take". I do think it's better if they make shows with healthy examples of love actually.
Okay a couple things. Number 1: I’m so so so so happy Stacy said no, it was the right thing to do. Izzy is nowhere close to getting married, even if homeboy doesn’t know it. Number 2: I know this may sound pessimistic, but I was REALLY hoping Milton would say no, because 😑 come on bro. You’re really telling me you’re gonna deal with Lydia bossing you around/belittling you for the rest of your life?? She’s impulsive, hypocritical, and just straight up mean to him smh. I KNOW he has some maturing to do regarding like cleaning up after himself and opening a champagne bottle correctly, but the fact remains that HE IS MATURE REGARDING ALL THE BIG THINGS! And number 3? Seeing Uche and JP for a minute at the end there, Netflix should have given us a trigger warning, because I brought I some of my dinner lol. That is all.
I did like how Milton handled her during the museum dinner. When she left the table, I expected him (and I suspect Lydia did too) to run after her but he stayed and enjoyed his fettuccine. 😂 There are just some adults that think they can act like immature children and other adults just have to take them as they are. It’s disturbing. I would be surprised if they are still together at the reunion.

I knew Stacey would say no as soon as she made SUCH a big deal over the damn paper plates and him not having much travel experience. She’s so snobby. She’ll never be happy with any man who lives ANY different than she does. I hope Milton and Lydia are able to have a happy marriage and life together but i was so confused bc it seemed like they were trying to make it seem like Milton was having so many doubts about marrying Lydia.
It looks like there’s nothing behind Izzy’s eyes. Also he spent this whole time trying to convince her that nothing mattered, just marry him already. Why was he in such a hurry? Because she was starting to expose him & he wanted it to be too late? He made it seem like if she doesn’t marry him today he could be waiting decades until they get married, it has been 2 months so far, surely he could wait a ~year to see how she’s feeling. It’s not unreasonable that she’s not ready yet or even in the most perfect conditions & scenarios. His true colours shone at the end…
You're right. Even up to an hour before the wedding he is having his best man deliver that awful, corny note just to continue the emotional manipulation even when he technically was meant to leave her alone smh.
@@dearbh1736 so desperate to convince/manipulate her even up to the very last second. At the alter, bringing up fighting for one another & never giving up. It scares me that some people believe he’s almost the ‘perfect’ guy!
I could see right passed the editing in this season. As much as Stacy had some shitty moments, she shouldn’t have been made out to be the villain. Izzy is not a victim either. They tried to make Stacy seem like a gold digger but it seems that she needed someone who’s financially stable/responsible. Nothing wrong with that. I’m sure there were other things but being apprehensive about someones credit score/financial habits is completely valid. We’re talking about marriage here. Combined finances! These are valid reasons to not get married. Even in the last episode, when he was trying to reassure her and saying “it’s only $2300” (or something like that). Nah, debt is debt. If you can be so nonchalant about that amount, imagine if it were more. Stacy was being a realist/mature and Izzy was living in a fantasy/immature (that Titanic comment says it all). Also, it was a low blow for him to say how Stacy is 33 and unmarried. We could say something similar. He’s 29 years old and still relies on plastic ware and keeps belongings from old hookups like a college kid. Hell, Stacy most likely dodged a bullet.
I agree that Izzy is a giant red flag, but it's hard for me to empathize with Stacy considering how absolutely spoiled she is. She runs a Pilates studio and somehow is able to afford her ludicrous lifestyle? Please lol, she's a spoiled brat who was never going to say yes to anyone who didn't fit her very specific mold. Izzy was a walking red flag but so was she.
a true role model? if Stacy and Izzy had those deep talks at the beginning of the pods like Izzy wanted, Stacy would have saved herself the trouble, heartache and most importantly time. Stacy reminds me of Zanab. In the sense that she wants to keep it fun and light in the pods but outside of the pods, they act differently. This IMO is probably why they are single, they present themselves one way and once they have the man their real selves come out and exposes who they truly are shallow, superficial, and high maintenance
@@Solotv84 first off, everyone puts their best foot forward while dating. That’s not unique to this woman or anyone else. Second, trying to open up and be vulnerable with someone who you cannot make eye contact with is not an easy thing for some people. I find that fairly relatable. Anyone who has tried online dating before smart phones were invented knows how challenging it can be to create a genuine connection without the ability to see literally eye to eye. And lastly, I 100% stand by my comment. Stacy’s ability to recognize their financial incompatibility as a MAJOR red flag and putting her financial security before her emotions IS worthy of admiration. Finances are one of the number one reasons people divorce and depending upon the terms of these marriage contracts, she may not have felt her assets were protected enough from any damage being married to him could cause going forward. In many states, married people become responsible for debt incurred during the marriage whether they know about it/create it themselves or not. I don’t know specifically about TX or if this show has a prenup they sign/provide, but Stacy was smart to say it was too soon given her reservations. Love is not enough to make a relationship work, there has to be trust in all things. She didn’t have that and I commend her ability to rise above the expectations & say no. Comparing her to Zaneb (manipulative narcissist) is not even close to accurate. Her standards may seem materialistic bc of the edit but look a bit deeper and ask yourself- would you risk everything you’ve worked for over a lifetime for someone you’ve known a few weeks?
Can you really blame him? The guy was clearly heard that may have been drunk I don't blame him he just got rejected in front of his friends and family and also millions of people by the woman that he loves come on now
So Johnie wasnt wrong lol!!!! Stacy is certainly her soulmate. She accepted his credit issues and all. And he did tell her about his issues with credit in the pods.
Izzy isn't wrong about Stacy always going after the 45-year-old rich man, let's be real they don't take Stacy seriously if they did she woulda have been cuffed. However, Izzy is a fool to think money doesn't matter, if you want to marry an upperclass woman especially one like Stacy money does matter. Honestly, I don't think Stacy finna find a rich man unless she marries someone in his 50s cause she super mid
Agreed, Izzy is a fool for what you said and many other things he did this season. But I don't think Stacy isn't as bad as people think. She expressed that her family didn't traditionally come from money and she saw her parents torn apart by fighting for it. She has a house and it seems like a business to protect. I thinks she just want a man who is her equal or a little more so she doesn't have the carry the whole burden and there are guys out there her age who fit the bill. Especially in Texas.
Stacy is not marketable for rich guys who like trophy wives... she also swears like a sailor, not classy at all... sometimes being very beautiful can be a blessing or a curse...
The real reason Izzy is problematic is that he shamed her with that last bellow the belt comment about her past relationships, it was nasty. And Stacy is nasty for clearly favoring shallow things in a partner. The fact that you even talk about "upper class" is so wrong, and money doesn't matter when it comes to live, what matters is how you deal with it together.
To be honest there are a lot of reasons why a woman isnt married and not all have to do with her. Izzy acts like stacy is Angela on 90 day fiance, he is only 4 years younger. Asking about fiance is very important just so you know what you are dealing with. The issue stacy was more upset was him lying about it and giving her the information 2 days to the wedding when he had all the time to say it. Even when he did he made it seem pretty light. What else is he hiding?
@@Ganychan Do you live in America? if not I wouldn't expect you to understand but money matters a lot, especially to American women who want the dream of a white house with the picket fence, 2.5 kids and a dog. Love is love yes but money matters in marriage to say money doesn't matter in marriage is a lie because the number one reason people get divorced is because of money! (not having enough or being in debt)
Stacy was looking for reasons to say no to Izzy. Finally the credit history is a good excuse for her. Milton is blind to Lydia's major red flags and made a mistake to marry her.
Unpopular opinion: I think Izzy is genuine and has good intentions, but he's really immature and sheltered. He could grow out of it with the help of counseling and the right people in his life. Ideally that happens BEFORE he commits to marrying someone. Stacy was so incredibly negative to him. She was always annoyed with him. He was always scared of her and trying to please and impress her. She saw through this lack of confidence and fear and it annoyed her. I have zero hope for Stacy, but Izzy could turn out ok. I wish him luck.
It’s an interesting hypothesis. I think for sure that there was something in Stacy’s superficial and judgemental nature that made Izzy insecure about telling about his financial troubles. Cause he had been able to tell Johnnie about it. I also think the whole badmouthing her after her saying no it’s kind of understandable being in the very emotionally charged situation of extreme rejection and loss. Plus there was probably some truth to the things he said. Big red flags though is the way he manipulates women and also the way of presenting a kind of superior image of himself. Having these traits in extreme that’s very hard to change.
I agree I don't get the hate for him other than the clueless jumping on the hate bandwagon. he's got trauma issues like everyone else. Acted out far less than others on the show, and does seem genuine. disagree with you about Stacey though, I like her. he expressed her rltshp pattern when he said 'you make me feel like I'm not good enough for you'
If you want to see an actually wholesome love is blind season, I'd recommend love is blind: japan. It's a really good change of pace that I'd love to see get more attention.
@bunnihanni They don't communicate much from what I've seen, they just do their own thing. Some parts were boring to me as well and awkward so I also stopped watching it lol. I don't understand how people love it so much (only liked 1 couple).
That's my fave version. I liked the quality of guys that were on and thought that it made for an interesting show. Also, Okinawa is beautiful and I would love to vacation there.
Stacy acted like a princess dating a peasant....she went completely nuts over the paper plates when it really isn't that big of a deal, she mentioned him not having a passport too much and her talking about his favourite restaurant being Chipotle only confirmed that she did think that he wasn't good enough
I think she's completely valid in wanting a partner that can keep up with her lifestyle. Choosing a life partner is when you can be as picky as you want. Where she went wrong imo is going on the show and not discussing these things before getting engaged to someone 🤦🏾♀️
I knew this season was bad when we were still in the pods by episode 5, when usually they’re wrapped up by the end of episode 3. I knew I didnt care anymore when I had to FORCE myself to finish the episodes. Im usually quick to start and finish episodes. This season it felt like an actual chore. I didnt care about a single person or couple this season. I pray season 6 isnt any worse
I knew Izzy wasn’t good enough for her,,, her dad was proud to say ‘ she may want to fly 1st class’ ffs he’s saying that about his daughter,,,she materialistic so no matter how hard you love her it will never be enough,,,she’s always going to struggle with relationships because she’s hard.. she will never find a man that reaches her expectations…..
Lydia had NO BUSINESS saying yes to Milton. She followed Uche there hoping to rekindle their relationship. The comment she made about "running into someone from her past" & lying about Uche wanting to start over from scratch proves it. I really want to see Milton's family's reaction to the Lydia and Uche debacle in the After The Altar special. They saw how disingenuous she was right from the START.
Not saying Lydia is a saint, she's a wild girl. But Uche is a piece of work. Did you notice that NO ONE co-signed that Lydia made those comments. He's a text book Narcissist. The way he talks to women is terrible and the way he treated Aliyah was awful. I'm curious about Milton's family as well. But if Chelsea's family can get over how Kwame treated her last season, anything is possible. LOL.
@@mermaid000pranu You're absolutely right. She wanted marriage more than she wanted the person & that's why this marriage is gonna crash & burn. Those moments of bickering over random stuff between her & Milton may seem cute for right now but overtime it'll snowball into resentment.

@@BlueMoon-io9eh yes, Aliyah did but I think she was an emotional mess and fishing a lil bit 😉. I was thinking about the bbq that had Renee, Johnie and the other pod squad girl, they all looked at him like he was crazy when he said it. They had lots more couples they either cut them from the final edit (2 couples in Mexico were cut and one final wedding couple) and there were like 3 other engagements that they didn’t follow outside the pods…eek
Reading through the comments there is a lot about Stacey being a gold digger. Clearly her family is doing fine and she has a career. Why would she be the gold digger? Izzy lying about his debt and wanting to marry her, why does nobody think that he is the gold digger? I do not think that either one of them is in it for the money. However, if you get married you should talk about finances before and I do not mean 48 hours before you get married.
Because she has a high standard of living, does not make much money- her dad does, explicitly said she wants to not rely financially on her dad, wants a man who can pay for all her dates and travel etc etc. And then also is revealed in many ways that she always goes for older men who provides all those things. That's the definition of digging for gold.
This is honestly the first season of this show where the end results did not surprise me. Karma basically kicked Izzy and Stacey in the butt here. Even if it was a petty comment at the time, Jonnie ended up being right that they wouldn't stay together, at least in terms of the experiment. I was genuinely happy for Lydia and Milton though. There's definitely some genuine love there even if the drama took away from them somewhat. I am actually starting to think that Uche might have been the one that followed Lydia to the show to ruin her chances and not the other way around. After all, he's the one that spilled the beans on everything and he's the one who keeps spinning the narrative in different directions. He tells Aaliyah that Lydia is a good person...then claims she stalked him. Okay, real talk. We're all just waiting for the reunion. This season was chaos. At the beginning, the drama was so ridiculous but entertaining. By the end, I just wanted the main part of the season to be over. I like chaotic drama in reality tv, but...this season might have been a bit too unhinged, even for me. Thanks Bachelor Fantake for the recap! Can't wait for your take on the reunion. Best wishes and God bless you.
This season shows you a glimpse of what's out there in the dating World especially if you are 30 plus doing online dating in other words what I'm saying is a lot of people need therapy and healing there are a lot of people that should not be dating because they haven't worked on themselves and this show proves it
If I had stuck with my last relationship I would be in Bankruptcy court instead of just paying off a few debts. My ex was famous for covering up finance issues. I didn't even find out how bad it was until after I left him and I started getting letters from his lawyer declaring he was not taking responsibility for our shared debts. He used my good credit and bank accounts to his benefit, but couldn't manage to go to work on Mondays and Tuesdays. It was a hard lesson to learn but I've learned it well. I don't blame Stacy for saying No!
That is such a good idea! It could be a good way to support the couples and make sure smaller, fixable things don't become huge deal breakers if left to fester. It's also just healthy to seek out help on how to better communicate, compromise, etc. We don't have a lot of positive models for adult conflict resolution within couples or family units.
They should also have access to therapists!!! It’s very clear this show has no intention on these people actually finding love. They just want to record people slowly breaking down
Very true but unfortunately that is not the objective of these producers. If they if they introduced counselling there would likely be zero weddings and where's the fun in that! Sounds like about 50% of the people in the comments, myself included, just fast forwarded to the two weddings in this episode. This show has a clear agenda that we, as fans, have bought into and the mental health of the couples seems to be just collateral damage in the quest to create drama.
Milton i think he was sleep walking at the wedding he wasn't thinking straight i wanted him to say no 😂 lydia is in her own fantasy land. She just happy to get married. Anyone would do we all know they arent going to last forever i give it a months.
I thought that too, the man was so sleep deprived and it’s a lot easier to conserve energy to just get on with the day and say yes rather than to have to deal with the conflict and fall out of saying no.
I’m by no means a Stacy stan but I can’t help feeling the loads of hate she’s received has a lot more to do with misogyny than substance. It’s not materialistic to want someone with their shit together. A 29 year-old should not be eating off of paper plates y’all! You can get 4 plates for like $6 at goodwill! It’s more that Izzy doesn’t have any direction in his life and is looking to have someone sort him out so he doesn’t have to do the work to grow up himself.
There’s nothing wrong with paper plates and cups . Maybe he just hates washing dishes which is VALID! Now should he have told her about his credit cards.. maybe . But then again look at how materialistic she is. Maybe he was scared she would judge him which she did! she would have issues if her took her to chipotle.. she wants to be treated like a Princess meanwhile she looks at him like he’s nothing because hes not rich as her.
@@raisaafiz4441his dishonesty about his finances was the problem and that’s what people are forgetting. We KNOW this from the clips. Stacy clearly wanted financial stability. Anything more than that is just you guys speculating and projecting. She obviously prefers a certain type of lifestyle. If you can’t match that, that’s fine.
If they were to get married Stacy's money is stacy's money and Izzy's money is stacy's money too, this was obvious from the conversation they had when they were discussing who pays for food and such in one of the earlier episodes
@@lisah8438 I don’t understand that way if thinking at all. I would want to feel independent and buy whatever with my own money and not have to ask for it from my husband.
Don't downplay my boy Milton, he is a 24 year old with a master's degree in engineering and going for his Ph.d. Most 24 year olds haven't accomplished half of that.
He may have these accomplishments on paper…this does not make him socially mature …he is not , he is naive and emotionally immature ….not a great recipe for marriage with an overbearing and bossy wife !
@@heathereast7499 I agree, unfortunately he'll learn the hard way or they make it. I personally wouldn't want my 24 yr old son with a jaded 30 yr old woman desperate for marriage. Nonetheless, where he lacks in one aspect, he's miles ahead of his peers in other ways.
I personally think this was the best season. The amount of drama, non-sense and foolery was beyond. I loved it. Yeah sure, I kind of forgot that the purpose of the show was marriage, but damn it was so entrenaining.
I drove a cab for 10 years and learned to read faces quite well. For some reason Stacy and her parents have these hard poverty faces, like Tonya Harding. I cannot shake that thought - they look like struggle and not wealthy or rich.
L.O.LLLLL! I can totally see it. Like they've been rode hard and put up wet. It may just be a lot of outdoor activity though. That can toughen up the skin.
Stacy convinced herself she could MAKE Izzy into the man of her dreams. Forcing him to cook, to write letters, to like the same food lol instead of taking him as he was
I skipped 90% of the episode. I’m not surprised by the outcomes. First off I want to say that Stacy needs to take some lessons from the mua who did her bridal makeup, she never looked better. And second I love how petty Izzy got when venting after the nuptials. That’s the real Izzy imo. But in Izzy’s defense, I think stacy didn’t push the subject of money until after the engagement because I think she wanted to come across as “im not like most girls, I’m a cool girl”. As far as Milton and Lydia, as long as they are happy, good for them. I don’t think they will last but I hope they can prove me wrong. Honestly the only couple I’m rooting for is Chris and Johnie
Why tho? Stacey clearly grew up in a privileged household, so I saw that conversation as a warning to Izzy that things in their relationship may become difficult if she's unsatisfied with their lifestyle. And personally, I think that's very valid. She shouldn't settle for anything less, especially when she can afford that on her own.
impt note: she had a jean jacket that said Bride on the day of the wedding. She didn't wear the custom Mrs Zapata jacket her friend gave her. I knew it was not happening.
I hope Milton’s parents watch that episode of Uche and Lydia fighting. If Lydia was able to act like that in front of a camera.. imagine behind closed doors.. “I see you..” *snaps photo of driveway*
I didnt think about it before. But when you said he (and the dad) knew she'd say know... and he was fighting for her yes for the whole day with the note... it got me really thinking...
Milton and Lydia in a nutshell. He has been coddled by the women in his family, laid back smart dude that doesn’t take life super serious. Lydia? I do think she’s a smart woman BUT she’s nuts. High strung and bossy and treats him like a child. I would say they can balance each other out in a sense but…. He’s going to get sick of her eventually. And sure she’ll act hurt, but she was never in love with this man in the first place. She wanted to be chosen, whether it was by Milton or Mr. Narcissist…. Or a broom.
Everything Izzy said during the entire season felt empty. Even him crying saying she made him feel like he wasn’t good enough felt fake and forced for sympathy.
Stacey will find a rich guy but with her personality trying to find or question a person like finding negative all the time. Lydia is ready to find true love she is crazy genuine and no filter, not everyone can handle her. Milton despite his achievement is still very young but hopefully they last forever, Izzy is very emotional i feel like Stacey is a bully, they are not good together
As a guy who has been around rich and wealthy people, I can tell you right now unless Stacy changes her behavior by becoming emotionally available, cooperative, and submissive no rich man will bother outside of casual sex. She is to mid to be a trophy wife and her attitude is something a wealthy man won't deal with hence those "45-year-old rich men" don't marry her. They just view as a fun fling for a couple months and than trade her in for a newer fresher model Milton as long as he continues to grow and improve will turn into a fine young man, can't wait to see where he will be 10 years from now
The producers are too busy trying to have these productions move seamlessly fro one season to the next, that they are jumping at the riff raff that presents itself these days. Izzy and Stacey were a total mismatch. I don’t blame her for refusing to marry him. He’s not trustworthy. Milton is too young to realize that this marriage to Lydia is a total mistake. This season is such a failure. Waste of time.
Fingers crossed that they learned from the disaster that was last season's reunion.
I watched the trailer and it said it’s not live this time thank goodness!!
@@kelsynicole9135so they can cut off to their test
I hope so because I expected alot drama after this boring season.
Stacey is shallow n the sad part she lost a guy w substance wo no money!
Lydia saying “I fell in love with you because you chose me” says it all
Exactly!! I caught that to!
I thought that was very ridiculous.
That made me cringe.
It made me cringe
I’ve seen long lasting couples where one part says that. So it doesn’t automatically mean it’s not going to work out, but definitely mean that the one saying that has low self esteem. But yes super cringe and I would NOT like someone saying that to me😂

I legit skipped ALL the part before the wedding and went straight to each of the bride's walking down the aisle. And I was not shocked about Stacy and Izzy. I was shocked Milton said yes but not shocked that Lydia said yes. It was such a dud season.

Stacey loves one man only , Ben Franklin

“If you want to see who a person really is, don’t give them what they want.”
Izzy proved this adage to be 💯% true when Stacey told him “No.” at the alter.
That’s like guys who ask women out, and when they’re turned down say things like, “You’re ugly anyway, I was just trying to do you a favor.”
Needless to say, Izzy has no idea whether or not Stacey’s next relationship with a rich 45-year old will fail and it doesn’t matter.

So Milton is not good is that what you're saying? lmfaooo

Exactly, agreed
after watching the reunion it just makes me wonder how Stacy can be so blissfully unaware of how she comes across at all times.

Lydia Finna dog walk him and Stacy is to mid to be this high maintenance
@@Solotv84this is the best comment 😂😂
I did like how Milton handled her during the museum dinner. When she left the table, I expected him (and I suspect Lydia did too) to run after her but he stayed and enjoyed his fettuccine. 😂 There are just some adults that think they can act like immature children and other adults just have to take them as they are. It’s disturbing. I would be surprised if they are still together at the reunion.
@@justabebe Why is everyone an Incel that is not Brett or smooth with the ladies? the word is starting to get played out now, so he's a bit awkward doesn't make him an incel
Stacy wants a well do man but those men can get a younger her who is prettier and more emotionally available
Rent was due and Izzy needed his future sugar momma I mean wife to pay lol
Agreed. Im glad she ditched him. He wanted an alpha woman to take care of him.
I don't like Stacy, I think she's a mean girl however she was totally in the right about Izzy and his situation in life.
Totally agree with this!
@@joanna0988Same!
Then she shouldn’t try to find a husband on love is blind she knew Izzy wasn’t rich
I love that Stacy committed to her standards in the end and put herself first. A true role model for women.
a true role model? if Stacy and Izzy had those deep talks at the beginning of the pods like Izzy wanted, Stacy would have saved herself the trouble, heartache and most importantly time.
I think Izzy had dollar signed eyes from the beginning
Izzy’s blows were lower than his credit score, he literally just proved she made the right call 😂

"bro, you did get the Titanic love story. Just, it was the part where she shoved him off the door" I'm dead ☠☠☠🤣
(not having enough or being in debt)
Stacy was looking for reasons to say no to Izzy. Finally the credit history is a good excuse for her. Milton is blind to Lydia's major red flags and made a mistake to marry her.
What are Lydia's red flags in your opinion
I love that superstore clips are included as you do with the office
Milton made the biggest mistake of his life.
Poor Milton
Yes he did.

Anyone ever get the feeling that Izzy is like almost always drunk and trying to convince himself that he loves Stacy?
He's a functioning drunk
Me too. Straight to the alter scene-hell, i even fast forwarded that😂
Lydia and Milton is a completely JOKE! Thanks this season is OVER! Bring the reunion!!!💥💥💥
I kind of agree with this. He seemed really sincere that last episode
Acted out far less than others on the show, and does seem genuine. disagree with you about Stacey though, I like her. he expressed her rltshp pattern when he said 'you make me feel like I'm not good enough for you'
Considering Izzy's childhood he's turned put pretty well and after some counseling and self-reflection, he might see the error in his ways.
@@ul8590 I keep reading about how he manipulates women. I didn't see this. When did he do this? All I saw was him being emasculated by Stacy 😅
If you want to see an actually wholesome love is blind season, I'd recommend love is blind: japan. It's a really good change of pace that I'd love to see get more attention.

I saw Love is blind Japan and I was so bored that I stopped watching halfway through 😭

Yes
I think she's completely valid in wanting a partner that can keep up with her lifestyle. Choosing a life partner is when you can be as picky as you want. Where she went wrong imo is going on the show and not discussing these things before getting engaged to someone 🤦🏾♀️
paper plates are wild. Its cheaper to buy 5 real plates then plastic ones every month. Makes no sense.
Yeah I would choose paper plates always. Because I hate washing. Not because I'm poor. I have a secure job for more than a decade.
Sometimes people judge too quickly.
I’ve been with a broke-a$$ man. I support Stacy’s decision. I don’t like her personality but she made the right decision.
Unless he is 6’2 billionaire looks like Bruce Wayne, but that guy doesn’t exist in real life lol
Lydia was just desperate to get married.

They should’ve stopped and moved to a new city to shoot this season when they saw how few couples they really had in the Pods.

Izzy's knees going under the table when he was talking about their love was hilarious 😂
They should have to do some premarital counseling of some sort or something
Then it would be Married at First Sight

Really? Money is the biggest issue for most couples so he's not wrong to make sure that Izzy can be a financial equal to his daughter.
Why tho? Stacey clearly grew up in a privileged household, so I saw that conversation as a warning to Izzy that things in their relationship may become difficult if she's unsatisfied with their lifestyle.
Or a broom.
I think Lydia could really benefit from learning to listen to others more, respect their boundaries, and be able to apologize.

They just view as a fun fling for a couple months and than trade her in for a newer fresher model
Milton as long as he continues to grow and improve will turn into a fine young man, can't wait to see where he will be 10 years from now
