I also loved when Milton closed out the conversation with Uche by saying I’ll catch you on the group chat, instead of saying I’ll call or text individually. It was Oscar-worthy shade.
YES. Uche wanted a reaction from Milton in the Pods. Milton and Lydia had a dispute and Uche wanted to “school” Milton on the situation and get some insight. Milton shut him down and said he’d handle it. Uche looked SO outdone by his reaction. 😂
That waiter was ear hustling 😅. The venue was perfect for both of them. One of my fav places to be is a certain St Louis, MO museum. I get it, Milton. 😂
In the pods I really thought there was no way Milton could handle Lydia. Standing up to her so calmly with the shorts was the first moment I realized maybe he can handle her. Then at the party with Uche is when I realized Milton is perfect for Lydia. Milton grounds and calms Lydia. Lydia helps Milton see the world more passionately. And I think it works beautifully from what we have seen
OK, outside of the uche, lydia, and Aliyah debacle... this is the BEST way anyone has explained their union. Because I still struggle to this day to understand it.. but I can see it clearer now.

Yes, but for every action , there is a re-action. Although we see a very stoic & 'mature' response from Milton here....he is still on the receiving end of intense energy & attacks. He does a good job of outwardly handling the situation....but it still impacts him on the inside. It is like police officers, fire fighters & nurses.... they can be brave & level headed in crisis....but they also have to "release " those feelings within them somehow. Can't bottle it up. Humans are more delicate than we realize. Hopefully Milton has a Therapist or some way to release the energy and bad feelings.

Milton’s family dynamics are fascinating. Mom and sister are so firm, dad and brother in law seem much more gentle and open. Milton clearly craves the openness that he got to glimpse with his father, but his mom seems to be the one in charge of the household . Great video!!!

I’m curious what Milton’s grandparents and other extended family are like. I suspect they’ve also played a huge part in his personal development.

My partner thinks this is a trash show that I love and he does not care at all about love is blind. But with your videos I can guarantee hes going to benefit from me watching the show. I learned so much in this video so the trash reality tv will have a net positive on my relationship. As an aside that I think youd appreciate as a therapist.... like i said, he hates this show. We were in mexico for a week in between the episodes dropping, so I told him that my gift to him for a good vacation was that i was not going to talk about love is blind at all while we were away. however, later on in the trip we encountered something that he knows is very triggering for me while at a restaurant. Immediately, he said 'lets talk about love is blind. fill me in on what is happening". So he listened and asked questions about the show for 45 min through the rest of the meal to help me manage my anxiety. He's an absolute gem.
I hear so much criticism that Lydia just wanted to get married so she’d take anyone, but I think Milton did too, and it works for them and they love each other and grow together because of it.

Regarding the black vs. gray shorts scene, I feel like Lydia was being a little too adamant even though she was bringing humor and silliness to it. I appreciated the way Milton handled it. It felt like he was saying, “I disagree, and I’m firm on that, but I still love you.” I thought it was wise beyond his years to have a moment to stand up for himself and set a precedent while still being kind and loving.
Hi Steph, psychology student here. Wondering what you think about this, but maybe Milton didn't mean Lydia was being overly emotional, but overly aggressive at expressing her emotions. You can feel mad, disappointed, frustrated, etc. in a very strong manner and still not scream, shout and say things in a hurtful manner, but rather try and regulate your emotions and express them in a morr assertive way. I don't think he was trying to judge her for being overly emotional but rather for lacking assertive skills to express thode emotions in a calmer manner without attacking him
I have to share with you.. I like to have your videos on while I'm doing the admin elements of my job. Yesterday I was listening to one where you critique one of the people for taking someone else's concern and making it about themselves. I immediately realized I'd just done the same thing to my husband and apologized. It completely reset our day together! Thanks for putting these out :)
I think you were spot on about the shorts. I'm glad he had enough emotional awareness to clearly know that this would be a boundary setting moment and handled it well
Lydia may have been the most dramatic on the show, but i truly believe things worked out as they should have. She and Milton balance each other out. Because they are both strong-willed, she couldn't bully him, and he was able to ground her. It's an interesting dynamic, but it works
No they both felt like they need to prove people wrong. Milton said at the reunion “ cause I’m 24 everyone thought I wasn’t gonna get married “ convincing his parents because they saw through the BS. Lydia literally went there with bad intentions. Milton doesn’t deserve someone that only went on the show to lie & manipulate try to get back with her ex and when she gets turned down she tries to sabotage his other connection. Make it make sense. Oh but they’re good for each other right. She would’ve married anyone she’s over 30 of course she just wants to get married. She don’t care as long as it’s someone with money
I actually really liked the moment between them with the shorts. I appreciated that he didn't back down and just give in to her, but also kept things playful and didn't escalate it into a fight disproportionate to the issue at hand.
Can you please make a reel about what you said about cleanliness in a realtionship and how it's disregarding your partner's discomfort when you put it off as trivial?! Ppl need to hear that. 😄 Thank you! ❤
I luv, luv, luv Milton. He has very similar attributes to my guy. He’s a cool nerd that has a lot of personality. He has a level head and is a planner. He literally broke away from his parents like my guy bc he felt they stiffed his growth and he wanted to live life on his terms vs pattern after his parents. Congratulations to Milton and Lydia. They compliment one another.
The reason why the party had people we didn’t think had gotten engaged is because two other couples did get engaged but they couldn’t air their stories because it was dangerously toxic. One women is suing the production company because she was sexually assaulted by the guy she got engaged to and they never stepped into stop it even though it was clearly a dangerous environment.
I was waiting on you for this season. Just watched your video on Johnie and Chris and it came across as one of your more insightful videos with information that seemed intent on helping us navigate in relationships. Took you awhile to hop on this season but worth the wait. (Unpauses , thumbs up)
I hardly ever comment on videos but I faithfully watch your videos. Initially my thoughts on Milton & Lydia were very different. I love the perspective you bring when analyzing the couples & situations. You really make me think and challenge my views. Excited for the next episodes to come!
Lydia dodged a bullet when Izzy backed out. Izzy is a phony who used fake tears to manipulate Stacy. In contrast, Milton is a genuine person who was willing to get in touch with his real emotions even though it wasn’t 100% natural for him to do so. In fact, Milton’s genius was his ability to separate how he was raised from who he truly is inside. Lydia is lucky to have him. And Milton is lucky to have her.
I like Milton but the dinner between them at the crystals museum bothered me a bit because Lydia was trying to connect with him but he was continuing to eat and “stonewall” her non verbally. Kind of reminded me of my (unhealthy) family when we’re communicating while angry
I really like Milton but was so disappointed how he handled that dinner. I wonder if deep down he was freaking out a bit about marrying a woman he knew for a month, which is normal. But he expressed those fears in not the best way by taking it out on Lydia instead of diving into his own feelings.
Interesting point - They threw in that party scene because there were actually 4 engaged couples, but production had to edit the scenes in a way to keep 2 of the couples out due to one's story being left out because of violence and the other because of a lawsuit.
Milton did seem calm and level headed amongst the chaos but like you said based on his personally type and what we saw, he just avoided opening up and expressing any emotion at all. I was shocked that he said yes too and even proposed in the first place. The way he was so hesitant it seemed like the hardest decision he's had to make. I can't help but think he got married to prove a point especially to his parents. We saw in the scene with his father on the wedding day. Milton was very dismissive even though his father was actually trying to give him good insight on what marriage could be.
I’d love to see you reacting to love is blind Brazil! As a Brazilian I wonder if our culture plays a different role when it comes to relationships or not really, in your pov. I’ve been watching all your videos and it helped me think better about myself and my relationships in general. You make me a better person for free, thank you very much. God bless you ❤
Milton and Lydia did briefly speak about kids 😊 They were in the pool if I recall correctly and Lydia said kids in the next five years and Milton said at least ten so they disagreed in a sense about that
I think the clothing moment with the shorts was super pivotal for Milton. As someone who’s ex was super controlling (because he also came from a family with a mom that suuuuper controlling) I had a hell of a time asserting my autonomy and my right to choose my own damn clothes because it was a constant fight and I was tiredddd. I was also super young so it took me a bit to fully make him know I’m not gonna be controlled like that, but of course as time went on it was just always something else to deal against and I’m so glad I’m out of that old relationship lol. I’m also glad to see them happy at the reunion, and to hear that Lydia (unlike me in that old relationship) is strong enough and old enough in her sense of self to be herself no matter what, and that it has actually, in Milton’s words, warmed up not only his mom but his whole family!! Love that ♥️
Ohh im si glad you mention thw shorts situation ❤ he was super asertive in saying no, you are not gonna mother me. I choose how to look. I am capable ❤
Hey Milton my grandpa lived to 81 and was 6 ft 7 and he was overweight. Being tall doesn’t mean short lifespan unless you have some sort of disorder with it like Marfans .
I too know very tall men well in there 80s. There are people with genetic abnormalities that have health issues related to their height. The sample size maybe too small to account for healthy individuals vs. with gland issues that cause abnormal growth.
it is a statistical fact that taller people live shorter lives on average. there will always be exceptions, but take a look at most centenarians and you’ll see that they’re mostly short. 81 is also not a super old age to die, it’s about average. my grandfathers lived to 93 and 103 and they were both short.
My brother in law who’s 6”7 had brain cancer but he’s still alive and kicking so we will see (not tryna be mean but we all know his cancer could come back)
You’re right! I was attracted to my husband because he was himself and didn’t let anyone walk all over him. However, now in marriage, he’s super stubborn and refuses to compromise over any little thing 🙃
My partner and I very much have this same dynamic, he is very rational minded and I'm very emotional minded. This video really helped me remember that one of the things that he first found attractive and fascinating in me was my emotional capacity but also my self-awareness. It IS rare to find someone who values that and is strong and patient enough, and I am also helping him figure out how to feel things and start with the feeling when it comes to discussions bc it helps give me context. It can really work!
I would like to see Lydia, Uche, and Aliyah in that order. It’s great to hear your perspective. It makes me think of how I could do things differently in my relationships.
Yes and it would be very interesting if your (amazing) thoughts could combine what is shown on the show with what some participants said on podcasts - for example Aaliyah and Miriam about Uche on Jessie Woo’s podcast. Not that it brings more « truth » to the show (it’s always subjective), but it brings another perspective on what we see in the edited show.
Milton really got my heart. He made me proud of him. ❤ u can pass on that Uche guy, he’s a waste of space in my eyes. He was a total manipulator and an asshole.
Really appreciate how detailed and practical your analysis is of Milton 👏🏽 loved your tip about having boundaries set about teasing in relationships. My husband loves to tease and I’m generally sensitive. I know I need to lighten up and he needs to know where to draw the line. I’m wondering what your tips are to navigate this? Thanks 🙏🏽
Great review! Milton was my favorite this season. I do think that he had a point about Lydia’s behavior when she’s highly emotional although the way that he communicated it wasn’t the best. It did come off as a little judgmental and dismissive of her feelings. However, I think that he voiced concern about how they would teach their children to address conflict and doesn’t want them to try to get their point across by blowing up. I don’t think that he was trying to change who she was as a person, instead give her feedback on better managing those emotions and behaviors.
I also feel, regardless of his "computer " personality, that it is a worry to censor your own feelings because of your partner's highly emotional state/tendency. It becomes unfair and challenging as you'll often be the person that tries to comfort than be comforted. That was honestly my biggest concern in their relationship as I can relate with mine. I've become a computer because of my relationship with someone so emotional.
love your thoughts. For Milton's family, it wasn't just Lydia coming in but the whole world looking and commenting on their family style of talking to each other! So they got some feedback that fortunately, they took in and softened. I also think Lydia will benefit from some of their analytic, level-headed approach to life
That is exactly what I thought about Milton. I noticed that he was a listener. It was apparent to me that he wasn't trying to sell himself or trying to convince someone to like him with fake small talk chit chat or banter, the fact that he found her weakness as a strength and something he admired in her and wished he could be more like her, I loved Milton after that. I love that he doesn't take things that seriously, he doesn't put up with her shit and puts his foot down, the fact that he defends her to others is so admirable. I think Lydia genuinely just wants to be loved and cared about. At first I found Lydia's emotional reactions to be a little over the top and it made her seem she may be disingenuine at times, but by the end I believe that Lydia never had any ill will towards anyone and only acted out of love and because she cared. I think Milton is a honest person and he tells the truth no matter what. I think he would not be able to get along with Lydia is she were not the same way. I think he admired the fact that she is also very honest but finds it fascinating that she expresses her feelings so emotionally. I think the fact that Lydia is so emotionally honest with her feelings is what attracts him to her. I think if she was disingenuine at all, he wouldn't be with her. I think that is why Uche had felt bad about how he had treated her when they had dated which is why he had cried when he was talking about her to Aaliyah. I think Lydia does her best and the best she know how to be supportive and to love and care about someone else. I think in her mind she treats people how she wants them to treat her, so she is so over the top being the supportive friend, or hurt lover that she doesn't realize how desperate and needy it actually makes her look and that it turns most people off. I think she got lucky that Milton admires her for being that way.
I don't think Milton was trying to act superior or contempt when talking about how she reacted to the situation. I think he just thought that she could have handled the situation better. Milton is very prepared and thinks about his actions before he does them and thinks of the best possible way to handle situations before acting on them. Lydia just reacts on emotion without thinking. I think Milton just wishes she had thought it through before reacting on the best way to handle the situation. I think he is just calling her out on a bad decision she made and telling her that she could have handled it better.
I'm so glad that you did ths video. I'm so exciting, cuz the dynamic between Milton and Lydia remind me of my fiance and I. I'm passionate and he is more analytical. I just love hear your thoughts about this. Kisses from Brazil! I love your channel!
Milton choosing his own clothes and making it clear - 100% a great thing. More importantly is how both he and she each handled the tension and disagreement. They didn’t make the “clothes selection” a bigger choice than the integrity of the relationship itself. Seems that they realize the quality of their whole relationship in total is more important than that small detail.
I'm glad Milton wore the shorts he wanted. Household duties are important in a relationship I agree...no one wants to feel like they're constantly cleaning up after another adult. A compromise needs to be made.
I would love you to watch Stranded with My Mother in Law. It's a new reality show on a deserted island, where six anonymous couples enter a competition where they will work together to win a prize of 500,000 Brazilian reals. But the game takes an unexpected turn, revealing the actual stakes, when an extra suitcase appears and they discover that actually, both sons- and daughters-in-law will be stuck with their mothers-in-law, their true partners in the competition. All this families have issues and they work together to overcome it
22:37 he did the right thing to show he’s not going to be easy to control because of the age gap or because he’s whipped I could see Lydia begging him with that cute face she’s not slick. It’s small and early enough to set the president on how their dynamic works in real life that he won’t bend to every little demand"
So as for the party having other castmates, there were quite a few couples who made it out of the pods that got edited out; Renee being my favorite of the entire season, and a total of 3 couples I believe; 1 of which seems to still be together
They used to do the parties in previous seasons too . Like season 2 Shayna met Shane at a beach party and there was a lot of the pod squad people there too . We might not notice too much cause there were more couples
I like Milton, but still thinks marrying Lydia was not a good decision. I think it was an act of defiance and he wants to live in the honeymoon and not reality. They don’t live together which I found odd that it was not mentioned in the reunion.
I haven’t watched the last two seasons of LIB (including this one), but I indulge on the reaction videos especially yours; they are much more entertaining (and more educational) to me😆. Love this breakdown and I hope this couple works out. 💙
the reason that some of those people were at the bbq is because there were at least 2 other couples that got engaged! Renee and Carter made it all the way to the altar. Both the other couples went to Mexico but were cut from the edit (that's why there wasn't that much honeymoon footage this season)
Milton was hands-down the most sane, level-headed participant, not just of this season, but of every season of LIB. He was genuinely confident, knew when to be a leader and when to be a follower, knew how to fight when necessary, and how to diffuse conflict. He had his flaws, but overall, he was excellent.

@@Dev-kw6ymIs that you, Uche? Stop hiding behind the burner account big boy
I actually really liked the moment between them with the shorts. I appreciated that he didn't back down and just give in to her, but also kept things playful and didn't escalate it into a fight disproportionate to the issue at hand.
Thanks for putting the timer on the advertisement part 😂 I haven't skipped because I knew how long it was gonna take
Haha thanks for hanging around for it!
I’m looking forward to Lydia and Stacey’s analysis 🤓
I know this is really NOT on topic, but i love your bouncy curls. 😮 Great analysis btw👍🏽
Can you please make a reel about what you said about cleanliness in a realtionship and how it's disregarding your partner's discomfort when you put it off as trivial?! Ppl need to hear that. 😄 Thank you! ❤
Cosign!!!
+1 to this!
Milton. My fav this season. So level headed and calm❤️
Same! As well as cute and funny in a geeky kind of way 🤓❤
The reason why the party had people we didn’t think had gotten engaged is because two other couples did get engaged but they couldn’t air their stories because it was dangerously toxic.
(Unpauses , thumbs up)
Thanks for your patience!
Would also be really interested to see a short video on JP! I don't think we've ever had such a character on LIB.
Yes!! His switch up was so odd
I hardly ever comment on videos but I faithfully watch your videos. Initially my thoughts on Milton & Lydia were very different. I love the perspective you bring when analyzing the couples & situations. You really make me think and challenge my views. Excited for the next episodes to come!
Thank you so much for letting me know! 🫶🏽
Can’t wait for the Izzy/Stacy video. I was baffled by them.
Just wanna say that you have become one of my favourite things about every new season of Love is Blind xx
Milton was my favourite participant out of all the individuals who made it to the altar.
Aaliyah and Taylor are my other two favourites 😊
Ugh i love this series. You always mention things from an angle i don't even consider!
Interesting point - They threw in that party scene because there were actually 4 engaged couples, but production had to edit the scenes in a way to keep 2 of the couples out due to one's story being left out because of violence and the other because of a lawsuit.
Even though there isn’t much there, I would LOVE to see your take on Taylor and JP!
I loved their connection on the reunion...looks like they've come a long way❤
Milton did seem calm and level headed amongst the chaos but like you said based on his personally type and what we saw, he just avoided opening up and expressing any emotion at all.
THIS! 🎯🎯
He took time because he processes things logically that why he's so successful at such a young age
Omg YES! I didn’t think people commented on the black vs pink shorts debacle enough! I’d love for you to do Stacey’s video next!
I’m a MFT student, you are my inspiration, thank you. I love you, may God bless you more in every areas of your life
I’d love to see you reacting to love is blind Brazil! As a Brazilian I wonder if our culture plays a different role when it comes to relationships or not really, in your pov. I’ve been watching all your videos and it helped me think better about myself and my relationships in general. You make me a better person for free, thank you very much. God bless you ❤
It 100% does! As a person who is learning Brazilian Portuguese and thinking about moving to Brazil…
Milton is just adorable I do hope things work out for him!
I can't wait to see the videos of the hostile men and particularly how you perceive their levels of disrespect when talking to women
OH THIS VIDEO CAME RIGHT AFTER I SET UP MY FOOD. I'M LOCKED IN STEPH ANYA!
Love that ♥️
I cannot wait for a breakdown on Lydia!🎉
I love how you get to the crux of the matter, the person, the issue. Great job. Cant wait for the next one. Thank you😊
Your opinions are INCREDIBLE!!!
Ohh im si glad you mention thw shorts situation ❤ he was super asertive in saying no, you are not gonna mother me. I choose how to look. I am capable ❤
I was so sure that Lydia will be able to manipulate Milton so easily and the shorts clip was a great exemple of her trying to set the tone
Hey Milton my grandpa lived to 81 and was 6 ft 7 and he was overweight. Being tall doesn’t mean short lifespan unless you have some sort of disorder with it like Marfans .
I think he might
Well he was looking at the statistics. Of course there will be people who live longer and ones who live shorter than average
@@sarahdelale3242I also want to hear about what was said about Lydia behind the scenes. Crazy af
Milton really got my heart. He made me proud of him. ❤ u can pass on that Uche guy, he’s a waste of space in my eyes. He was a total manipulator and an asshole.
i cant wait to see what you think of Lydia!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Per usual, your observation of Milton was spot-on, in my opinion. Thank you, Stephanie.
Loved your analysis of Milton. He is definitely mature and measured yet seems to crave a family lifestyle different from the structure he grew up in.
I LOOOOVVVEEEE Milton!!!! He is the most amazing young man and I would love to be a little more like him! Lol
I love your videos! Not just analysis of the show but you are giving real life advice that are on point and valid for a lot of couples! Thank u ❤
Love your editing. Also love how you call yourself out and are quick to rectify yourself. I would book an appointment with you for sure.
Best analysis I have seen and heard...Thank you. 👋👋👋
You've got me looking at these two as a couple in a whole new light.
Yay you’re back!😊
love your thoughts. For Milton's family, it wasn't just Lydia coming in but the whole world looking and commenting on their family style of talking to each other! So they got some feedback that fortunately, they took in and softened. I also think Lydia will benefit from some of their analytic, level-headed approach to life
Can't wait to see u do Lydia!
What a breakdown, love your content❤
You hit it on the nail, the most healthiest and honest take. People are so negative...we should be friends
Thank you for these. I love hearing your insight ❤
If Milton listened to his intuition and gut instinct - which is just as valuable as rationale - he wouldn’t have married Lydia.
True. Think he just rushed through
He did it to prove his family wrong
@@charmaineespeut4627 so true
well they still married so 🤷🏽♀️
That is exactly what I thought about Milton.
Loved this breakdown
I was waiting for your review!!!
All this families have issues and they work together to overcome it
Omg that sounds amazing lol. Thank you!!
Oo that sounds great, on what streaming platform can I find it?❤
It was an amazing show
@@sintara8442 Its on Netflix
I really appreciate the individual analysis, but I also want to know about the relationship dynamics of Milton and Lydia as a couple.
22:37 he did the right thing to show he’s not going to be easy to control because of the age gap or because he’s whipped I could see Lydia begging him with that cute face she’s not slick. It’s small and early enough to set the president on how their dynamic works in real life that he won’t bend to every little demand"
I really like your intro. I love harmonies 🥰
Im so grateful that your channel was recommended for me. 😀
Your commentary is the one I agree with the most. About Lydia begging her way into the engagement.
Awesome breakdown
Excellent commentary and review!
24:24 wow, that was important. Thank you
Milton was hands-down the most sane, level-headed participant, not just of this season, but of every season of LIB. He was genuinely confident, knew when to be a leader and when to be a follower, knew how to fight when necessary, and how to diffuse conflict. He had his flaws, but overall, he was excellent.
