Yet she is dating someone she does not respect because she does not to risk being rejected by dating someone in “her league.” The thought of being in a serious commuted relationship terrifies her. Marriage terrifies her. Like Antonio, she is delusional. Just in a different way. She tries to project confidence but she is a mess. She has to grow up some and maybe after that she will be or try to be her genuine self.

They did. Lisa apologized for her behavior and Brian said they discussed it and moved on. They also talked about how it was out of character for her and maybe it was the baby hormones and that moment is actually what prompted her to take a pregnancy test. She seems to have some character backing from most of the other contestants.

Lisa being so unapologetic to Riah (another black woman) was the most disappointing moment for me. She was truly threatened because Bryan & Riah were hitting it off & there was a real chance she could lose her man. Ugh, THEE WORST!

I was so annoyed that everyone propose to their original partners. And I feel like it sucks that some people were kind of robbed the experience to see what it was like to be with another person fully. I felt like there were some that should have just walked away.
I was so anrgy when Vanessa kept calling them all 'Utlimatium Success Couples'. We really need to rethink of what success means cause it aint these couples. Its often so much better to be single or stay dating and getting therapy then to just throw engagements or babies at an unhealthy relationship. I also feel like these shows CONSISTENTLY do not address abuse, especially physical abuse that happens in any safe or productive way. Which I really do not appreciate.

I remember with the LGBT version of this show last year, one of the contestants had to call the police on their ex because they were _throwing_ heavy glass items at them and the show just completely brushed over it like it was petty drama. They need to do better with addressing the abusive behaviors on their show.
What really, really, really annoyed me about the whole Antonio, Roxanne and Alex thing (i will not be involving Kat since goddamn the girl did nothing wrong, i feel bad for her), is that Alex clearly did not want to talk abou Roxanne with Antonio. Antonio had to ask SEVERAL times before Alex started answering, and honestly im not an Alex fan, but Antonio kept pushing him for an answer and when he did finally answer Antonio got pissy over THE TRUTH. We could all see that Roxanne did not and does not respect Antonio, she likes him, sure, but she Does Not Respect Him, and that was obvious every single time she talked about him. Also whilst Antonio had to push to get answers out of Alex, Roxanne just wanted to shit talk Alex to Kat from the beginning and yeah, that says a lot methinks.

This show is about attachment theory- the people given the ultimatums are AVOIDANTS, the ones giving the ultimatum are secure attachent styles(Ryann, Trey, Kat), or anxious attachment styles(Antonio). The book is called ‘Attached’ and is a great book.
i could see how some of the people given the ultimatum are definitely avoidant (alex and roxanne for example) but i don’t think all of them. for some, i think it’s just a matter of time for them. like they want marriage in the future but they aren’t ready quite yet. i think you can be secure in your relationship but also not ready for marriage yet, especially after only 2 years of being together. for others like riah i think it’s bc of underlying issues in the relationship. she wants to figure out who she is before committing to a lifelong decision of marriage and being tied to someone. avoidants are usually hyper independent while she is the opposite and trying to find herself.
it’s honestly really sweet to see how close Kat is to Alex’s parents,, i don’t really like him but at least his PARENTS were considerate enough to reach out to her and offer her validation & reassurance 🥺

They all are highly dysfunctional but paradoxically, with her level of self-awareness, she’s the less dysfunctional one. That doesn’t mean she’s being fair to Antonio. She should let him go. But the rest of them mentally and psychologically speaking are much more dysfunctional than her. She’s a mess and too aggressive and needs to learn how to respect boundaries more (you don’t always have to give your opinion), but let me say this again… she’s the less dysfunctional of the entire bunch. Okay listen, Kat is a sweet girl but holy man she does not have a backbone and it was infuriating to watch. You can tell she has a kind soul but not much self awareness when it comes to how the people around her treat her. Alex clearly does not love her the way she loves him, he hardly showed her any affection or words of affirmation the whole show. The only time she stood up for herself was when Roxanne put Alex’s character into question and Kat had a negative reaction to that because it was literally the truth and she knows it. Antonio for sure has self esteem issues and seems to be stuck in a cycle of confirmation bias. It's almost like every time Roxanne tears him down, he's subliminally thinking, "Yep- that aligns with my own truth, so I feel seen," even though he's anything but. He had cringe moments but it sounds like he has a plan for himself which was very confusing given the way Roxanne spoke about him throughout the show. He certainly doesn't deserve the constant jabs she's dishing out.
Nobody is talking about James but he definitely need to be talked about more too. The trauma is prevalent but it’s not an excuse. His behavior definitely needs to be worked on before he gets married otherwise, that can very easily turn into abuse.
When asked, "Who are you surprised accepted their proposal," almost everyone said Roxanne. She's bossy and she wasn't even willing to marry Antonio when Nick said he could officiate. Imagine if they found each other on Love is Blind; Roxanne would be a runaway bride leaving Antonio at the altar.
The problem with these shows is they pick couples who will provide drama- then the public sees some really bad interpersonal skills and that normalizes what to me looks like a lot of disfunction. The show should have addressed that Lisa committed physical abuse and kicked her off the show for that, not used the pregnancy test as the reason for leaving. I’m disappointed in the producers

He’s now going to spend the rest of his life always being judged, always trying to please a person I believe will never be satisfied with him just the way he is. She’s saying yes to the guy she wants him to be- not the man he is right now. I don’t believe she’d be happy with ANY man, even if the man was self made and super rich. Antonio needs to go into therapy to figure out what has kept him in an 8 year beat down- make no mistake this is a verbally/emotionally abusive situation- I don’t even say relationship because I don’t think anyone can be in a relationship with a sociopath- there’s just the people who become collateral damage- like Antonio. I’m guessing one or both of his parents damaged his self esteem. My therapist said whatever we experience as a child is FAMILIAR, and familiar is comforting, even if it’s unhealthy. When we grow up we will seek to re-create that dynamic we experienced as a child- even if it was toxic and unhealthy- Antonio must have had parents that told him he wasn’t good enough.
It looked like he was acting and putting on a performance a lot of the time. He is probably different in his normal life without cameras around. They are a terrible couple. She does not respect him. Since this show is the Ultimatum, one person in each partnership wasn't ready for marriage. Not saying he’s an angel… but looking at this way: we know that women stay in their emotionally/verbally abusive relationships because they end up believing the verbal assaults their partners dish out at them, especially over time they’re almost brainwashed. Reality TV has really made strides when it comes to identifying the worst people for TV. There used to be a couple people who were likable, but they really found a way to squash that for maximum drama. It's actually good news for me as it got me to stop watching lol I hate turning off the TV and feeling stressed out over what I just watched.
To me, it seems like they tried to organize this one more than in the first season and as a result, there was less drama. There weren't any spontaneous engagements on the day of the choice, there wasn't anything even close to cheating happening- not even a kiss, and none of the remaining couples appered to actually struggle With the process
I try not to badmouth people. But I would never want Lisa or Roxanne as friends. They are not nice people. Hopefully they grow and learn. And hopefully Antonio finds someone that actually appreciates him.
James was one of my faves, his story touched me... Let´s normalize talking about self harming, it can be REALLY hard to talk about it when you do it or years after ( i know from own experience), so i really respect him for opening up about his past like this in front of everybody on television... I just finished this season last night. The couples that annoyed me mostly was Antonio and Roxanne. I’m not going to to beg anyone to give me love and commitment. Roxanne is totally using Antonio. That's an interesting way to see it... I do see how things could be a lot worse than with my partner but at the same time I often feel like I'd want to try this Ultimatum experience. I just would hate to be televised and publicized lol. But I've been with my bf for 6 years and he wants to get married but I am hesitant because I haven't dated anyone else before. The thing I like about this show, especially season 2, is the ability to date others under a mutal agreement without even kissing anyone else. Just seeing what it's like to talk to someone else, see if your values align, see if you can do better somewhere else before committing to someone else for the rest of your life.
I’m not a huge Alex and Kat fan. Alex seems extremely apathetic towards others and Kat. Kat has no backbone and defends his behavior. Alex can do no wrong and Kat seems like someone that will put up with anything. She did mention that she wants him to be a lot more vulnerable but she always slips right back into her shell when Alex speaks. She enables him. There was no chance of her ever breaking up with him

They did. Lisa apologized for her behavior and Brian said they discussed it and moved on. They also talked about how it was out of character for her and maybe it was the baby hormones and that moment is actually what prompted her to take a pregnancy test. She seems to have some character backing from most of the other contestants.

i could see how some of the people given the ultimatum are definitely avoidant (alex and roxanne for example) but i don’t think all of them. for some, i think it’s just a matter of time for them. like they want marriage in the future but they aren’t ready quite yet. i think you can be secure in your relationship but also not ready for marriage yet, especially after only 2 years of being together. for others like riah i think it’s bc of underlying issues in the relationship. she wants to figure out who she is before committing to a lifelong decision of marriage and being tied to someone. avoidants are usually hyper independent while she is the opposite and trying to find herself.

Antonio for sure has self esteem issues and seems to be stuck in a cycle of confirmation bias. It's almost like every time Roxanne tears him down, he's subliminally thinking, "Yep- that aligns with my own truth, so I feel seen," even though he's anything but. He had cringe moments but it sounds like he has a plan for himself which was very confusing given the way Roxanne spoke about him throughout the show. He certainly doesn't deserve the constant jabs she's dishing out.
Nobody is talking about James but he definitely need to be talked about more too. The trauma is prevalent but it’s not an excuse. His behavior definitely needs to be worked on before he gets married otherwise, that can very easily turn into abuse.
When asked, "Who are you surprised accepted their proposal," almost everyone said Roxanne. She's bossy and she wasn't even willing to marry Antonio when Nick said he could officiate. Imagine if they found each other on Love is Blind; Roxanne would be a runaway bride leaving Antonio at the altar.

The problem with these shows is they pick couples who will provide drama- then the public sees some really bad interpersonal skills and that normalizes what to me looks like a lot of disfunction. Antonio is simply way too good for Roxanne. He’s now going to spend the rest of his life always being judged, always trying to please a person I believe will never be satisfied with him just the way he is. She’s saying yes to the guy she wants him to be- not the man he is right now. I don’t believe she’d be happy with ANY man, even if the man was self made and super rich.
Antonio needs to go into therapy to figure out what has kept him in an 8 year beat down- make no mistake this is a verbally/emotionally abusive situation- I don’t even say relationship because I don’t think anyone can be in a relationship with a sociopath- there’s just the people who become collateral damage- like Antonio. I’m guessing one or both of his parents damaged his self esteem. My therapist said whatever we experience as a child is FAMILIAR, and familiar is comforting, even if it’s unhealthy. When we grow up we will seek to re-create that dynamic we experienced as a child- even if it was toxic and unhealthy- Antonio must have had parents that told him he wasn’t good enough.

Reality TV has really made strides when it comes to identifying the worst people for TV. There used to be a couple people who were likable, but they really found a way to squash that for maximum drama. It's actually good news for me as it got me to stop watching lol I hate turning off the TV and feeling stressed out over what I just watched.

To me, it seems like they tried to organize this one more than in the first season and as a result, there was less drama. There weren't any spontaneous engagements on the day of the choice, there wasn't anything even close to cheating happening- not even a kiss, and none of the remaining couples appered to actually struggle With the process

I just finished this season last night. The couples that annoyed me mostly was Antonio and Roxanne. I’m not going to to beg anyone to give me love and commitment. Roxanne is totally using Antonio. I think she like being chased and enjoys wha Antonio gives. She’s not going to be happy with him until he is doing exactly what she’s to the T. He’s not going to be able to be her in male form. I feel like they’ve been through some shi* and she checked out. The other couples were descent. Lisa is so wrong and isn’t going to get a ring from her spouse. No way you’re goin to act like that, while being an adult/mother. Period. She’s disgusting
First of all, I think it’s disrespectful that you don’t even wanna wear the ring. Then you also don’t even want to think about the wedding. She should’ve never said yes to him because that’s giving someone false hope.
This season the people were something else. I liked Ryann but she was too good for James. Roxy is just ( I don't even have words)! Alex is a narcissist and man just glad I'm single after that!

That's an interesting way to see it... I do see how things could be a lot worse than with my partner but at the same time I often feel like I'd want to try this Ultimatum experience. I just would hate to be televised and publicized lol. But I've been with my bf for 6 years and he wants to get married but I am hesitant because I haven't dated anyone else before. The thing I like about this show, especially season 2, is the ability to date others under a mutal agreement without even kissing anyone else. Just seeing what it's like to talk to someone else, see if your values align, see if you can do better somewhere else before committing to someone else for the rest of your life.

I’m not a huge Alex and Kat fan. Alex seems extremely apathetic towards others and Kat. Kat has no backbone and defends his behavior. Alex can do no wrong and Kat seems like someone that will put up with anything. She did mention that she wants him to be a lot more vulnerable but she always slips right back into her shell when Alex speaks. She enables him. There was no chance of her ever breaking up with him

I don’t mind Roxanne wants to make money. I don’t mind she doesn’t want to wear the ring unless the guy wears a ring too. Some of her arguments were pretty valid. But she so clearly completely walks over Antonio who is just a little love struck puppy that doesn’t know any better. He seems pretty blind to all the red flags.
they should’ve asked antonio what he thought watching the show and of how roxanne spoke of him. she constantly shit talked him so im surprised how he’s still adamant that she actually respects him
Lisa and Brian should only have been brought on during the end of the show or only a small segment, they weren't even a proper part of the season, they should not get the screen time when Lisa would being abusive during the show

The Antonio Roxanne (I guess couple) is bizzare to me, Roxanne doesn’t seem at all interested, and I guess Antonio is into her for money? Idk it just seemed obvious she wants a workaholic husband like herself and he’s not that kind of guy so forcing marriage wont fix it. I hate to be cliche but I just feel like individual and couples counseling would be a tremendous leap for everyone here, then they can decide if they’re ready for marriage or not
