Now the obvious highlight is Endeavor, but like, shoutout to Bakugo too. He became war machine x1000 here
I think they said it outright or at the very least implied, but understandable to miss given how much else was going on: the ace in the hole AFO is using is shown to be a version of the Quirk-erasing bullet that was modified to be even closer to Eri's original Rewind Quirk. That's why you see not only the charbroiled corpse healing, but his eyes (which we've never seen before, presumed lost in the battle with All Might) coming back, implying that he's being Rewound to his prime.
Now, the question of "why didn't he do that before?" is a good one, and the thought of how "this body" is disposable to him should hint at the danger of this gamble and what could be the downside for him, but that I'm sure they'll get into next episode.

Remember eris quirk she can rewind things not regenerate and in season 4 shigaraki stole bullets from overhaul and gave them to afo they had deleting bullets and rewind bullets and in season 6 shiggy destroyed everything but the bullets in episode 5
