Omg I got goose bumps when June was on the train & heard another baby crying 😭 and it turns out to be Serena Joy & Noah! Genius 🤓

I knew Serena was going to be on the train. I think one of them might be killed or severely punished, that is, Luke, Nick or Janine. A year away, worth the wait. Nice season. I also believe Commander Lawrence bugged every room of his house. That's how he knew which Martha told Janine about June. He knows they work with the resistance. Furthermore, I think since June told him she was there when his wife died he is going to change for the worst, likewise them taking Janine will turn Aunt Lydia for the better. Just my two cents lol.
I think it wrap up nicely with The Testaments novel, that if they go in that direction of the last book.
This was such a good season

@@zijing9548 oh my goodness. Your comment gave me a notification and I completely forgot about season 6. It’s been over a year since season 5 completed. Now I’m reminded and want to know what happens next. I guess the writers strike held them back. Hopefully early 2024.
Episode 10 was SOOOO GOOD! However, the rest of the season was incredibly slow-paced & meh. There were so many filler scenes AND filler episodes throughout the entire season which was ridiculous, given how this season only had 10 episodes.
I also thought this! Episode 10 of this season felt like one of the older episodes from prior seasons esp at the beginning of the show. It was the first time in a long time that an episode from the show invoked tears for me
I think the whole show had many filler episodes if you look back closely. I think the handmaids tale in many ways is a showcase of camera skills and acting. If you ignore the story flaws and just enjoy it as a show of artistic experiments then you will dismiss those flaws. The story is not horrible by any means. Its relatively good compared to others. Probably makes the creators a lot of money and gives them a lot of creative freedom to fool around with their toys.
In real life with the totalitarian ambitions of the World Economic Forum we have no safe place to run to, that's why this series is such a hit; it resonates worldwide with people feeling the loss of their freedoms more and more. Chilling reality. We all hope to be like June ♥ I am hoping she ends up with Nick ♥ true love should win !!

Why did the series have to start so much later in the UK? In the UK we are only up to episode 3, yet I already know the ending thanks to US starting the series a lot earlier in the year. Why can't the series start on the same date in both countries?
Same with Young Sheldon! I hate seeing all the clips on RUclips knowing we won't get the episodes in the UK for months :(

That's because it's an American show so it airs in America first. I like Peaky Blinders but it's a British show so it aired in Britain three or four months before it came to Netflix US and by then I already knew most of what happened 🤷♀️

.....
They will need to all be separate for safety reasons. June goes into hiding, Nichole is cared for by a resistance family trying to keep her identity hidden, and I don't really recall Luke and Nick, just that they had to separate because too many Gilead people were after June, plus Gilead was still trying to get Nichole back.
It’s be so great if they used Tori Amos’s “crucify” in an episode. It seems like a missed opportunity and it’s downright a shame
