I have found Kikuyu loves to be cut at 12mm with a greens mower....but, heavier the better.......it has such a stunning 'finish' after a cut. One thing I have come across is it's best not to water it too much, unless you want to dethatch multiple time in a season....which I don't think even Kikuyu can tolerate being interfered with too much in a season.
    It's such an underrated grass.

How big is the battery ie ma/hr not volts? I have the ozito version, 2x 18 volt batteries, I use the 2500ma/hr ones and they will do my whole 100sqm yard. Or if mowing (1 battery at a time) between them they'll mow and edge (there's a lot of edging, I have kerb plus footpath on a corner block).
